Yeah he was amazing but had Bo Jackson never been injured we would probably be saying his name. But yes Neon Deon right now is the greatest 2 sport athlete ever. My grandfather won the Patterson medal at University of North Carolina (UNC) for the best 2 sport athlete there in college football and baseball in 1934. They lost 1 game that year and it kept them out of the Rose bowl national championship game because they lost the last regular scheduled game that year but his Patterson medal is in the museum close to the 1982 Basketball National Championship trophy of the team Michael Jordan so I'm just glad they are a couple feet away from each other in the trophy case in the museum!
I don't know if you guys have reacted to the most ferocious defensive player ever in Lawrence Taylor? Deion Sanders and Barry Sanders are the reason I started following NFL. They did something spectacular every time they played. Thing about Deion is that he made the bandana cool. That became a fashion for a while back then because of him.
A guy you should check out is from my own Chicago Bears... Devon Hester. He overtook Deion as the best return man in the NFL. He didn't play another sport, but he was insane during his time. Especially during his first 2 years in the NFL. It's worth a watch if you can find a highlight clip for him.
Brian Jordan played for both the Falcons and the Braves in Atlanta as well. Interesting fact, there are lots of players that were drafted into two leagues. Patrick Mahomes in baseball, Tom Glavine in hockey, but Dave Winfield was drafted in three separate scores. The NBA, the NFL and the MLB. Became a MLB Hall of Famer.
I think one of you guys said you like watching long kick returns and if that is the case, you should check out Devin Hester. His first 3 years with the Chicago Bears were ridiculous
The Prime Time story really starts (nationally) back when he played football for Florida State University. He was a nemesis for my team. But you have give respect where it's due
There is another player along the same lines of Bo and Deion, it's Herschel Walker. He won the Heisman Trophy in college and was an absolute beast. After retirement, he because an MMA fighter in his 40's or 50's and won!
Sanders was an amazing athlete. I remember being at a Cincinnati Reds game, when he played for the Reds, and he hit the most routine grounder to 2B and beat it out for an infield single. I NEVER have seen someone go from home to first base so fast in my life.
What’s crazier is that Deion is extremely humble, hard working, and caring.. but he also just has extreme confidence but he’s not arrogant in the slightest
Calling Deion Sanders a big personality is an understatement. LOL And it didnt stop when he retired... He's now the new coach of University of Colorado's football team.... He's ALWAYS been, and always will be... Prime time.
If you've ever seen the movie Any Given Sunday, starring AL Pacino and Jamie Fox, you can see that Jamie based his character rise and ego on Deion Prime Time persona. Good movie as well.
Bo, Barry Sanders, and Jim Brown were the epitome of "Act like you've been there before." They were all high class amazing players who knew they were great, and knew that everyone else knew. No need for them to rub it in.
Deion’s record of most total return touchdown’s (from kickoffs & punts) in a career stood for over 20 years until it was broken by Devin Hester. There’s a Devin Hester video from the same guy you just watched you should put in your queue.
Deion was the only defensive player I can remember who could be the most exciting player on the football field. He was less impressive in baseball, but it would also be difficult to play both sports long term due to the overlapping of seasons, and the lack of an off-season.
I think pretty much described “Primetime” perfectly…during his peak his ability could turn the tide of the game…Quarterbacks were afraid to throw to his side of the field because there was a pretty good chance he was going to intercept the football and run it back for touchdown…he was a character…and you’re right, if he was on your team you love him…if he wasn’t you hated him…
He's now a major college football checkout some of his coaching from Jackson State (but now he's at Colorado). In fact he almost lost his life last year after a surgery on his foot. They ended up having to cut off like 3 of his toes and a huge chunk out of his leg to safe his life. Checkout Shannon Sharp's interview with him. They're really good friends and Shannon jokes with him about his foot on the show. It's actually funny.
My local college just hired him to be their football team’s head coach. Just being here has completely changed the team, which was the biggest joke of the “power five” (explanation to follow). The man is absolutely an astounding personality and talent. His ability to recruit top talent is extraordinary.
College football in America comes in many different conferences and rankings. There’s division IA which consists of the biggest teams, which are further divided into regional conferences. “Power Five” refers to the five best conferences which have the teams consisting of the best athletes competing for the biggest bowls and national championships - sort of the equivalent of the English, Spanish, Italian, German and French leagues in Europe.
@@areguapiri that’s going to be a huge improvement. But they ought to keep improving to the point of competing for the Rose Bowl unless the PAC-12 implodes and/or they return to the Big 12.
Deion is now head coach of The University of Colorado. His son has a RUclips " Well Of Media" that chronicles his father as a coach. You should watch it because you'll see his children who are Prime athletes in their own right.
Deion was a marketing man too, not just talented, he knew how to market himself. Look up the story of how he marketed himself at the NFL Combine before he got drafted. At the NFL Combine, which is invitation only, they generally have many things that they measure, he only ran the 40 years dash. He knew that he was being drafted primarily for his speed. When he was called, he dropped his sweats in the stand, ran his sprint and kept running into a limo and left. He was also asked a question by the NY Giants. He replied by asking them when they were drafting. I believe they said 10th. He said that he would be gone by then, so he declined to even answer.
Heckuva corner. Throwing an out pattern to his side of the field was close to crazy. I even heard that he once came up on a running play and made a tackle, but that may just be a rumor, because I never actually saw that.
It makes me happy seeing the sport of football get Interest from people of other countries! Y’all gotta pick a team soon ! But keep doin what y’all doin! God bless
The Buzz.. Deion was hired this December to be the Head Coach of the university of Colorado at Boulder.(a mediocre program) His first FBS D1 coaching job . He's been killing the recruiting scene with his reputation as a NFL hall of famer. The Story is still yet to be written. All eyes on the Buffaloes this yr .
When he played for the Cincinnati Reds, he scored from first on a ground ball up the middle. The play at home wasn't even close. I was at the game, I never seen someone so fast on the bases. It has been covered that he essentially cuts a corner at each base. Base runners run in an elliptical path around the bases, not straight at a base and turn. He basically eliminated 4 to 6 steps that a normal base runner would make around the bases. I have witnessed him doing this at one of the games I attended.
The thing about Deion Sanders and highlights is that arent as many ss you would think. The reason for this is that he was so dominant at covering his side of the field that teams would only throw to his side of the field on rare occasions. He has had many games where his side of the field had 3 or less targets. He shuts down half the field. He was the only person who could consistently cover Jerry Rice. They got the better of each other.
There was a third player in the 90’s by the name of Brian Jordan who was a teammate of Deion’s in Atlanta, but while Deion played both sports for a few years Jordan moved completely to baseball & had a 14-year baseball career after playing in the NFL for 3 years. Jordan made 1 All Star team, but the teams he was on in the 90’s and early aughts (St. Louis Cardinals & Atlanta Braves) never made the World Series.
Also, Jerry Rice who is known as the GOAT of Wide Recievers. He wasnt flashy, but his career records and stats are utterly unbreakable. He also set the single season TD Reception record on a lockout shortened season. His story is absolutely wild. He's a legend above legends. I used to hang out with his daughter Jaqui.
One of the greatest ball players to ever step on the field and now an incredible coach you guys should watch deion Sanders Hall of Fame speech, in the speech he explains where primetime came from he came up with the name primetime in order to become bigger than himself get all that money and get his mom out of poverty
If anything, his personality was bigger than what was on display. The only other multi-sport athlete that could compare to Deion and Bo would be Jim Thorpe. Of course, he did it in the early 1900's.
I'm very happy that y'all saw this and I greatly enjoyed the video, but the story of Prime Time/ Neon Deion Sanders is one that's very hard to fit into one video. To get the full picture, you'd probably have to see several just to fully understand the personality, his domination on the field and how he became Prime Time. But I can think of a player who you could probably come to completely understand in one video, and I can think of the best video for you to see on him.
A reason that you see Deion Sanders and a few other running backs seem so fast is that they were also on their college track teams and ran sprints against some of the fastest sprinters in the world. The normal athlete wasn't trained against that kind of speed.
Renaldo Neamaiah comes to mind, he was a track sprint star in college and became a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers in the early 1980’s. This was just before they got Jerry Rice and Neamiah did alright and got some long receptions and touchdowns. Unfortunately, Neamiah’s career was cut short due to injury and he retired in 1986 or something like that, so a pretty short career.
Prime made it look effortless because he was just that much better than everyone else. He is possibly going to do something even more incredible and rare than his exploits in baseball and football. He appears to stand a very good chance at becoming a great COACH as well as a great PLAYER. He took over a small school losing program a few years ago and turned them into an almost undefeated team and now is the head coach at the Division 1 big school University of Colorado football team. We shall see.
He got is nick name from playing basketball in high school from is high school friend. He was good at basketball too. He had big school offers for basketball too. He could have played in NBA too if he wanted. He played n the NFL and professional baseball at the same time.he also was signed to death row recods as an music artist too. With snoop dog, tue pac, ice cube.
Deion was the biggest show o the field and was polarizing as hell, but nobody outworked him. He loved to play the whole "naturally blessed" thing, but he admitted years later that he would study film and his opponents to insane levels. His stats are great, but there was literally entire seasons where teams would just go into the game saying "we're not throwing over there". To have a player shutdown a whole side of the field is insane.
I'm sure your sports teams have some crazy good athletes. Deion was simply an awesome freak of a player. Your reacts were right on. A little bit amusement, a little bit awe!!
So I'm a life-long NFL fan - 54 years old - and i'll be honest - i HATED Deion Sanders. (American football only - i was ambivalent in baseball) I hated his whole "Prime Time" shameless self-promotion. Every play i watched him - i wanted to see someone crush him. Never got my wish. Then I begrudgingly began to respect him. His incredible athletic skill / ability. Any sports fan has to acknowledge it. In time, I came to respect him. Now i miss those fun days - many years ago - when sports just seemed more fun to watch & root for. Maybe it's my age or maybe NFL football has become to mass commercialized - I don't know - but I do miss those days when Prime Time was running all over the field. Remember Gentlemen - Sanders was a cornerback - a very difficult position to play - because you are always running backwards and trying to keep pace with a very fast receiver who has the advantage of running forward and knowing which direction he's going to suddenly break. Sanders was incredibly fast and very smart - because he was able to read the offensive plays very quickly. One last thing - i don't think you've covered yet - in American football - the defensive backfield - ie the cornerbacks and safeties - they usually don't cover the receivers man-to-man. It's too difficult as the receivers would just out-sprint their defenders. Instead, most of the time, the defenders play the "zone" - meaning each defender has a specific part of the field that they have to cover. All the other defenders try to read the play and rush into the same zone to help. Offensive plays are designed to try and find vulnerable areas inside the zones of the defense. Teams spend a lot of time watching the recordings of the other teams to try and spot their vulnerabilities. There really are a lot of parallels to warfare. Anyway - thanks for posting this one - always a pleasure to watch you two react.
He is the fastest player ever and yes he is a very entertaining man he's been on TV alot lately for his coaching and he got turf toe while playing and he just had to have part of his foot removed and his calf removed he has to have physical therapy every 2 hours and he's still coaching winning football teams. He's amazing
I'm saints fan who absolutely hated the Atlanta Falcons but I love prime time. I was a fan of his dating back to his Florida state days. He is the reason that I am Florida state fan.
To me he is the GOAT in NFL, exclude quarterbacks. He could hurt you on defense, offense and special teams. He still doing it as a college football coach. Big personality and a good dude.

There is no denying Deion's abilities in either sport. Has anyone brought up Earl Campbell? The Tyler Rose! He was either around you or through you! Also Larry Csonka. Zonk was going through you or through you! LoL!
Look up his 40 yard dash story 😅🤣 he was so bad he played a national championship baseball game and then took a plane to play his pro football game..beast
Deion was so good that he shut down an entire side of the field. QB's wouldn't throw the ball to the side of the field he was defending. And for the few that did try him, they may get away with a few passes but eventually they'd be watching Deion running the ball back their way. Deion's speed was what made him so dangerous. He would bait QB's by purposely running a couple of yards behind a receiver so that the QB would throw the ball to said receiver. Check out the "Human Joystick."
Bo and Deion played against each other in baseball. Think it's Joe Vincent or NFL Films bio of Bo Jackson where it shows clips of Deion vs Bo in the MLB. Deion acknowledges Bo was the man.

LOL
And it didnt stop when he retired... He's now the new coach of University of Colorado's football team.... He's ALWAYS been, and always will be... Prime time.
Lol, thanks Johnny, we’ll definitely have to watch some more Prime Time!
If you've ever seen the movie Any Given Sunday, starring AL Pacino and Jamie Fox, you can see that Jamie based his character rise and ego on Deion Prime Time persona. Good movie as well.
Deion's recovery speed was so good, he used to let wide receivers get open just so the quarterback would throw his way.
The song "Must Be the Money" that was in the video.... was his own song, off his own album. Yes, he did music too.
That’s crazy 😂
JIM THORPE won 2 GOLD MEDALS, played in NFL & MLB, also played minor league pro basketball and he considered playing pro hockey.
And not just any 2 gold medals -- the pentathlon and decathlon, which solidifies the point of being an "all-around" athlete.
@@craigmanning7873 YES SIR... and he did it ALL while dealing with a racist America.
While fans from rival teams may have “hated” him I doubt there was anyone who didn’t admire his ability.
Both were amazing. But Bo's personality was such high class. He didn't do a touchdown dance. No need. Everyone already knew how badass he was.
There’s a Devin Hester video from the same guy you just watched you should put in your queue.
oh the boys are starting to get sponsors🤣let’s gooo love the growth
Haha thanks! We appreciate it!
Deion was so much fun to watch football ⚾🏈❤️
Deion was the only defensive player I can remember who could be the most exciting player on the football field. He was less impressive in baseball, but it would also be difficult to play both sports long term due to the overlapping of seasons, and the lack of an off-season.
I think pretty much described “Primetime” perfectly…during his peak his ability could turn the tide of the game…Quarterbacks were afraid to throw to his side of the field because there was a pretty good chance he was going to intercept the football and run it back for touchdown…he was a character…and you’re right, if he was on your team you love him…if he wasn’t you hated him…
Thanks Mufasa! I did have a feeling that would be the case
DEION SANDERS IS THE CREATOR OF THAT HIGH STEP AND THAT TD DANCE ! HE HAD 2 DIFF VERSIONS OF IT ! ( FAV PLAYER OF AL TIME ) !
Deion is arguably the greatest athlete to ever walk the earth.
Also, he was featured in one of the Super Bowl commercuals from THIS year.
Thanks Mary, sounds terrible regarding the surgery!! Have also added that interview to our list
His life was never in danger. Let's be honest and real.
I'm 54 years old and a lifetime Cowboys fan. Deion Sanders is the greatest player I have ever seen play. He was electrifying!
My local college just hired him to be their football team’s head coach. Just being here has completely changed the team, which was the biggest joke of the “power five” (explanation to follow). The man is absolutely an astounding personality and talent. His ability to recruit top talent is extraordinary.
That just be amazing to have him as the coach!
Colorado will be an "average" team.
@@areguapiri that’s going to be a huge improvement. But they ought to keep improving to the point of competing for the Rose Bowl unless the PAC-12 implodes and/or they return to the Big 12.
He is a great guy off the field as well.
Deion is now head coach of The University of Colorado. His son has a RUclips " Well Of Media" that chronicles his father as a coach. You should watch it because you'll see his children who are Prime athletes in their own right.
If you like that, I loved it. I'm a lifelong Is braves fan. The thomahawk chop got really into overdrive when He came to our team.
You guys are on about his confidence and either you love or hate him ❤
My business partner did some work on Deion's house in the 90's. He said there were 100's of pictures on the wall. Every one of them was Deion.
Heckuva corner. Throwing an out pattern to his side of the field was close to crazy. I even heard that he once came up on a running play and made a tackle, but that may just be a rumor, because I never actually saw that.
I’m happy to say I love him now that he’s retired lol. I’m not mad at him. But he was one of those love him on your team but hate him if he’s not.
I thought this would have been the case 😅
It makes me happy seeing the sport of football get Interest from people of other countries! Y’all gotta pick a team soon ! But keep doin what y’all doin! God bless
Dude was full of noise, but he backed it up on the field every game. 🏈
And his son is the starting QB for the team . Added pressure..
That’s interesting, will definitely take a look at his coaching career!
One of the top 2 best athletes of all time.
Watching Deion play DB in the NFL was like watching Jordan play basketball.
At any moment he could, and likely would do something spectacular
Brian Jordan is the best two-sport athlete ever (an all-star in football "and" baseball), but no one knows it because he was a quiet guy.
Also I think hes the first athlete to have a hit single “must be the money” wild times back in the day.
Yessss my boy primetime!!
Hes a coach now in college. check out his opening speech at Colorado
Deion was a massive character.
He really was!
If anything, his personality was bigger than what was on display.
The only other multi-sport athlete that could compare to Deion and Bo would be Jim Thorpe. Of course, he did it in the early 1900's.
Been waiting for this video for ever🤣🤣 I’m so glad to see this I haven’t even watched the video yet but I know y’all were impressed lol
They keep impressing us 😅 Hope you enjoyed
Hands down the greatest corner in history. And currently one of the best up and coming coaches in college.
He’s now known as Coach Prime this upcoming college season will be his first year as coach of the Colorado Buffaloes.
HE WAS AN ABSOLUTE MERCENARY
switched teams for bigger money and was the reason they won
I'm very happy that y'all saw this and I greatly enjoyed the video, but the story of Prime Time/ Neon Deion Sanders is one that's very hard to fit into one video. To get the full picture, you'd probably have to see several just to fully understand the personality, his domination on the field and how he became Prime Time. But I can think of a player who you could probably come to completely understand in one video, and I can think of the best video for you to see on him.
He also released a platinum rap album that had a Top 40 single.
A reason that you see Deion Sanders and a few other running backs seem so fast is that they were also on their college track teams and ran sprints against some of the fastest sprinters in the world. The normal athlete wasn't trained against that kind of speed.
Thanks Mark, RBs we’ve watched so far just seem like lightning!
Congrats on getting jersey company! It's a great idea for your channel! Good luck gents! Cheers again from Orlando, Florida!!!
He once said, "the ocean covers 3/4 of the earth, And Prime covers the rest."
He's now the Head Coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, which is a PAC-12 college football team.
YOU ALL HAVE TO DO HIS FULL HIGHLIGHT VIDEO!!!!
Appreciate the suggestion, thank you 🙏
I definitely would like to see you guys react to MLS crazy atmosphere / crowds after game winners people believe futbol isn't that big over here but MLS is getting huge
Now you should watch a highlight reel of him
You must watch video of him introducing himself to Colorado as new head coach. It tells you everything you need to know about his desire to win.
Steve Smith Sr. has a video you guys need to watch, Agent 89. Smallest guy on the field and one of the toughest guys to ever play the game.
Thanks Crazyhorse, sounds interesting! Have added to our list
@@DNReacts Awesome, he's a legend and fan favorite. Playing Offense at 5'8" like he's 6'8". Agent 89 video. You guys have great reaction vids, thanks and, keep up the great work!
He really was!
He played college football at Florida State where he first developed his whole “Prime Time” nickname and persona before the pros.
One of the greats ....
He really is!
@DN Reacts om a side note when it comes to March madness (quickly coming) 2 dry erase boards with markers lol and keep it honest ... I wanna see your picks lol ..
