I had failed the LCSW twice, both times by 1 question (Frustrating). Your method of breaking questions down were an epiphany moment for me. I just passed the LCSW exam today!!!! Thanks so much.
Told myself if I passed I would come on here and let everyone know, so here I am! Passed first try. I took the practice exam and actually failed that last week but the practice exam and these video were the best study tool. Passed by 9 extra points!
Hi Phil! I watched your study guide videos, and your method was very helpful in teaching me how to understand the questions. I passed my exam on the first attempt!🎉🎉🎊🎊 I thank God that you take the time to do these videos, and pray that you will stay encouraged and also that success will always follow you. Thank you for pouring into so many lives, including mine. Keep up the good work.
Yooo my dude Phillip!!! I had to come pay my respects for your help in me passing my LMSW exam!!!! I watched every single video of your breaking down questions before my exam and I wanted to thank you for your content!!!! I needed 98 correct to pass my exam and I got 121 correct!!!
I have watched every single video of yours and applied your techniques and advice. Missed passing by 2 points! I am not discouraged, I’m excited about the success to come 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Ashley Williams this is all I used this go round. One of my big take aways, schedule the exam during the time that you function with. I am not a morning person. I always scheduled the test in the morning. This time I took the test at 3pm! I also purchased the ASWB practice exam and I bombed it (missed it by 15). I studied the rationales and broke the questions down as Phil suggested. 💪🏾❤️
I am currently selling my entire LCSW Exam Study material for 20$. I have Power Point presentations ranging from 15-30 slides each on: Test Taking Strategies, Psychotherapy, Clinical Interventions and Case Management, Professional Values and Ethics, Human Development and Behavior in the Environment, and Assessment, Diagnosis, and Treatment Planning. Additionally, I have a 30+ page DSM5 outline, PDF version of the LCSW 2018 APGAR Practice Exam with Answer Key and correct answer explanations, ASWB Exam Content and Guide from the Association of Social Work Boards, List of Prep Courses and Resources, and medication charts and outlines. Text or private message me to see screenshots of some of the material. Text me at (305) 300-1383 for more information or to place your order. Thank you!!

I failed my first attempt by 7 points in Aug. I had my 2nd attempt on the 13th of this month & am so excited to share I passed!!!! I am now an LMSW. Your videos & your podcast definitely aided me. Not only in slowing down, taking my time, breaking down the questions, using the acronyms & other techniques you suggest, but also in being more compassionate & understanding with myself along the process of trying to study for this type of exam. So right, gotta respect this exam. Others responses have been so reassuring, empowering, & inspiring as well! Thank you so much for what you do I appreciate it so much! -Brittany N. Murphy (I really need to update my google/youtube name from my maiden name 😅)
God led me to your videos and I prayed to him that if I passed I comment on here to let you know how much you helped me. To God all the glory and may he continue to bless you so you can continue to help others. Thank you
You are the FIRST person to explain pos/neg reinforcement/punishment in a way that's not confusing and makes total sense. I've gotten so tripped up on this in the past and this makes it so much clearer. Thanks a ton!!
PHIL I PASSED!!! Crying like a big baby!!! I watched every video you have posted. I WILL BE telling everyone that is going for their LMSW/LCSW to watch and subscribe.
Im retaking the exam on Monday, this will be my second attempt, my friend also had to reatke it as well in Lannsing. Hoping are names can be on your list soon :)
I watched this the day before I took the test and it honestly made the difference. I kept getting questions wrong but the simple suggestions like "the client would be wondering why you left the room" helped me make sense of everything. I passed the exam first try and I'm glad I did! Thanks for all your work.
Thank you Phil! I just finished with taking the exam and (woot woot) I passed!! I feel so thankful for having found your videos as I have. Above all else, watching your ‘practice question’ ones, helped me most of all - sitting quietly with the exam today, headphones on for better focus, it was your wit and wisdom that played in my head. Thank you!!!
Your videos totallyyyyyyy helped me pass my exam in September 2019. I’m so grateful for the way you break things down. I’ve shared your page w a few colleagues already that are heading to take their license. Thank you!!!!!!
Hey Phillip!!! Just wanted to share that I just passed the exam!!!!! Yaaaaassssssss! Thanks for the videos and great content! Much appreciated it!! God bless you
I took a practice test for my LSW exam before studying and then another after a month of studying with pocket prep and the Apgar book. My score only improved by 5 points. I was really upset because I put a lot of time/effort into studying and it made me feel like I was totally unprepared for my test which was only a day a way. I spent what time I had left watching your videos and on test day I not only passed but my score went up by 13 points. Thank you so much for these videos!! I’ll be suggesting them to everyone!
Thank you for breaking down the questions and showing the rationale behind the answers. I usually struggle with the operant conditioning questions because it does not clearly state which reinforcer the person is using.
Thank you- you are a motivational speaker paired with a professor! I took the LCSW exam this past October and missed passing by 4 points... a friend rec watching your videos for tips. i sit for it again in February :)
Phillip, thank you for your videos. Your videos are extremely helpful. I passed my LCSW exam on 1st try. What you're doing to help others is incredible.
Firstly, thank you so much! I passed my LMSW yesterday!! I needed 99 to pass and I got 113! I started watching your videos a week before my exam (yes, I was late to this party). I have to say the way you explain how to identify "facilitate" , "intervene" .,etc is really what got me through most of the application questions. May goodness come to you for your kindest intentions to help.
Hey it is good to hear from you and YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!! YOU are amazing 🤓 Words cannot describe how much it means to me that you included my style, and videos in your prep 💙 Isn't it such an amazing feeling to PASS?!?!? It is my pleasure to be able to help and it makes me smile to know you went into the exam CONFIDENTLY and KICKED IT DIRECTLY IN THE CHEST!!!!✊Let me know if I can help in any way with your future goals 😎
It is so true that you just need to keep pushing even if you are feeling doubtful. Maybe the first time you watch an LSW study exam video you do awful, but you will certainly do better after the third or fourth video you watch! Keep trying! Questions start at 7:57
Oh my god, I could cry right now. My exam is June 6th, and I’m SO happy I found your videos. I am not a visual learner, so the books have been incredibly difficult to retain information from.
For everyone who passed their exam, send it to Phillip's email so he could keep track and give a shoutout Congrats to those who passed, good luck to those who are planning to take it and those who didn't pass- you got this!
Thanks this really helped me to bring understanding to operant conditioning. Reading it just to read it confused me but after seeing how you broke it down will assist on the test. Now I just have to remember it. My exam is August 19, 2020 @ 8:00 am. And its done. I may not know everything it is but I know enough to make a PASS. Jutina Latson, LMSW. Yes

I'm set to take my LCSW test in November and right now I'm not feeling confident about my study progress so far. I'm also very interested in learning more about your study groups. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos!
I’m not a LMSW but i have a BA in Sociology and I was supposed to take my caseworker exam this Saturday. Unfortunately due to the virus, it’s been postponed. 😭 I’m gonna binge watch all your videos to help me study and do the best I can!
I just found you on RUclips. Your amazing. Thank you for breaking down how to answer every question. I feel like your videos for LCSW will also help me also pass the LMSW. Thanks again.
This video was super eye opening. I read WAY too much into the questions. 😂 thankfully my test is in a little over a month vs a few weeks. I wish you weren’t booked so far out! But I will be using these for sure
Thank you so much a friend of mine just introduce me to your channel im preparing to take my test in two weeks and your you tube videos Ive watched have been awesome so far how do I be apart of the study group.
My problem is this…for example…question 1 is unclear whether everything is happening in current time frame. One could assume the 26 year old lesbian female was not directly under intake and is sitting in the office which would make C the best answer.
I appreciate you rocking with me 🤓I can definitely understand your perspective, however at the same time as social workers we need to help our clients regardless of our own views. Therefore, even though the social worker is uncomfortable with lesbian couples having children, it does not state they lack the information on how to adopt children, so they would need to help the client.
Phillip, where do you get these questions from? And are the answers to these questions confirmed/verified or do you assess each one individually based on your knowledge? --- I like your approach and the way you breakdown the questions but i'm worried about the validity of your answers.
