Thank you SO MUCH for these videos! I found you months ago & I'm finally taking my exam this month. Your videos have been the most beneficial study tool without breaking my bank post-grad.
@@savvysocialworkerexamprep160 Blessings be upon you! I have to take my LCSW test and I am listening to your vidrios to learn how to answer the questions. Thank you very much!
You do a nice job. I like that you get to the point without being unnecessarily chatty , yet address the necessary and important points thoroughly. Very Nice. I test next month in Arizona.
A good tip for the difference between Authoritative vs Authoritarian parenting styles is to think of an "Authoritarian Regime" like we see in history class with governments.
Hello! Thank you! When a social worker was meeting with a client who was having problems with her co-workers and wanting to be more assertive; I thought the answer you gave of D would have been something we ask in the treatment phase and C would have been something I may have gathered on my initial assessment?
I thought the same thing, but I think Savvy was trying to say that D is a question we'd ask similar to "why are you here, and what do you hope to get out of treatment?" Which we would do before diving deeper (ergo C). That's my train of thought, not sure it's correct though.
I like this video but don’t understand the answer for the substance use question. I would think if the client has a history and is in withdrawals (symptoms) we could refer to a detox program and not a physician.
The question about collecting sensitive information. You choose D, which makes sense, but doesn't the code of ethics say we always have to be upfront with the client about confidentiality?
It says "explain the LIMITS of confidentiality". If the social worker explains the limits of confidentiality to a client when asking sensitive questions, the client may be more reluctant to answer the questions. The social worker should build a rapport with the client, so the sensitive questions should be asked at the latter part of the assessment.
I thought a risk assessment is to improve the agency and help it grow in managing the clients treatment. This sound like an update biopsychosocial assessments. I would have never picked this answer. I thought the answer would be B. Explore... This question through me way off.
I work with a agency that use risk assessments to asses children suicidal thoughts and to asses a family’s risk of being involved with us again. So they can be used on a macro and micro level. It is tricky sometimes to navigate some of these questions
Did you read my disclaimer on the video (ALL my videos)? I do not write ANY questions. I teach how to answer them. Sometimes, I tweak them to read "a little" differently, but that's all. Not everyone has Apgar's resources, so I'm sure they appreciate the extra resource on a free channel.
And we do! Thanks so much!! I am using your videos in conjunction with the therapist development center and the ONLY reason I didn’t go with you is because I had no idea about your services. You are very informative, throughout and concise. I appreciate you! ❤️🤗

Same. I was shocked and still kinda confused on why that’s not the answer

Hello, how many questions are there in each section?
Not sure. It's over a year old. You would have to just watch it to know.
Are these questions for the LSW or LMSW license exam? Which one
Can be for both I believe. There is a thin line between the two.
I am scared to take the test is all this question on the test ?? Please someone help me I am so scared
When will you come out with Unit 3 questions?
RUclips cut the video. I am trying to figure out how to edit and just upload the second half.
