I dropped a small bag of clothes that didn't fit anymore or that I didn't like that much - including two (!) brand new jackets with tags on because the returns system of the website was prepostorous - to the donation center down my street. Finally thrashed my old, torn, falling to pieces Dr Martens boots and (lightly) expired Lush products. I have no problem decluttering, but these ones were tough ones : Probably because I had to wash the Lush containers :D
You inspired me to go around and grab things I know for sure I want to declutter. 1)a pressed wood cart/table on wheels I've had for many years & don't like 2)a very old laptop computer that overheats and the battery is dead. 3) an old bed comforter that has rips & stains on it. 4)an old duvet. 5)an old flannel duvet cover with holes in it. 6)an electric back massager that was given to me as a gift that I never use. 7)several items from my closet. 8) a coffee/tea urn & 2 matching cups that was given to me as a gift that I never use. I did all that in under 10 minutes! Can't wait to either sell some stuff online, or donate to a thrift shop or take to recycling! Yay!

Ashlynne, you are such a natural in front of the camera. I donated 4 large bags went to The Breast Cancer Charity, mostly clothes. The feeling is indescribable. So freeing! I agree with some of the other YT commenters - you could make a fantastic pillow from your engagement sweater! Love your channel!
So, the sentimental declutter is perfect timing. I’m trying to let go of the clothes I wore to my Dad’s funeral. I don’t actually wear them but I wouldn’t let them go. Thank you for providing some perspective.
My sister-in-law and I are going to be doing some kind of minimalist game for the month of April. We're going to be decluttering things as it relates to the date. So on the 1st we declutter one item, the 5th is 5 items, and so on. I'm excited!
Great job! I got rid of some clothing that I was not using (I sold it on eBay), some shoes that hurt to wear, some books that I was done with, some magazines that we were done with, and a pile of toiletries that were new but I had no interest in using (Donated to the local food pantry). That is just a sample. We always have a donations box out in our entryway. When one or more get filled up we take it to the thrift store.
Not really any of my business but I'm actually really curious how you have negative feelings associated with one of the books you decluttered. 🙊🤷♀️🙃 I love reading and don't think I've ever had that kind of feeling toward a book. Love these random monthly declutter videos! Definitely inspiring for not holding on to crap that just takes up space and isn't being useful! Definitely making me wonder what I have that I don't use anymore 🙊😊
Haha it’s more memories of an experience (breakup) that I associate with that book. Although I’m still mad at 1984 for its ending 😂 and yes! I’ve been loving doing the videos too 😊
