@TheEternalPonderer They badly attempted to pay homage to her with a mention as Admiral Janeway. I’m sure they offered her a cameo but she probably refused
Casting Mulgrew as the captain was their best casting decision, it was a divine casting choice. She's great, and i can tell that much of her character's personality came from her own.
Appearently she was a handful to work with. Jeri Ryan and Garrett Wang is in another video saying as much. Also as you can see, Jeri Ryan and Roxann Dawson is missing from this panel.
Kate Mulgrew really is Janeway. Same regal bearing, even in person. I got a massive surprise one Saturday in NY. I met her on a subway late at night and gracious as ever, probably not that far from this-she already had hair like this, I said, vert tackily I imagine, thank you for your service. She smiled and gave me a light hug. I cried. What a strong human being and with such compassion. It’s something I will never forget and will always treasure.
Probably due to it being his first major role. The other cast members had a lot of work before the show and had probably gotten use to throwing away their focus to just the work..
This particular group did. But if you asked Jeri Ryan about her time there, it was a horrific experience. Dramatized to the point she needed therapy. And who knows what Robert Duncan felt about it. Obviously he and a few others were not here cutting up on stage. It is easy to judge things when you only see 1 side. And as I have said about other Cons where the actors are praised for their good will towards each other, it is called: "Acting". If they can pretend to get along on a tv show for years, how hard is it to pretend to get along on a stage for an hour give or take 15 minutes? 😏

It's really nice to see how much these actors actually felt that way. It's a shame there aren't more videos of conventions with them.
The Voyager show on reruns on the streaming networks has risen to the most watched series with TNG in close second. Loved the characters on Voyager. Lots of fun! (Except the Captain and Paris turn into Lizards bottle episode.)
