Kate Mulgrew really is Janeway. Same regal bearing, even in person. I got a massive surprise one Saturday in NY. I met her on a subway late at night and gracious as ever, probably not that far from this-she already had hair like this, I said, vert tackily I imagine, thank you for your service. She smiled and gave me a light hug. I cried.

This particular group did. But if you asked Jeri Ryan about her time there, it was a horrific experience. Dramatized to the point she needed therapy. And who knows what Robert Duncan felt about it. Obviously he and a few others were not here cutting up on stage. It is easy to judge things when you only see 1 side. And as I have said about other Cons where the actors are praised for their good will towards each other, it is called: "Acting". If they can pretend to get along on a tv show for years, how hard is it to pretend to get along on a stage for an hour give or take 15 minutes? 😏

Update: I had the pleasure of meeting them at STLV22 and STLV23 and I have to say that our meetings were epic! I had the absolute warmest welcome from Garrett and I have to say it almost made me tear up inside. I've always wanted to meet him and Megan and also had the pleasure of meeting AND dining with Robert Beltran himself. My past 15 year old self would have been so jealous! LOL! I got to speak to Garrett for about 20 minutes in August, and Tim Russ for about 6 minutes. :) I will be honest I was so starstruck over seeing Beltran I could barely form two words! ROFLOL! I am such a dork. I really want to say hello to Kate Mulgrew once as I didn't get the chance to in 2022 when she was there...but I WILL be going back in 2025 for Voyager's 30th Anniversary so I am hoping to get her autograph and to say hello to her then. :) This whole cast is a hoot though!

i remember back in the day, a lot of hardcore trekkies always were rather critical of voyager, mostly because after DS9 being a bit more serialized and long plot arc heavy, the writing of voyager very much insisted on its episodic nature and chose to timetravel-reset-button away any too drastic long term changes. heck, one could argue that ron moore created the BSG remake in parts just to show braga how much a show like voyager could have profited from more serialized writing.
yet, on an emotional level, i never quite got the criticism. i mean, technically, i agreed with all of this. loved the long plot arcs. would have loved to see more of that on voyager too, sure. yet i could not get myself to feel critical of the show at all, ever. i loved it very very much, despite all of this.
and it took me a while to realize that the reason for that was this cast. its such an awesome cast. people always rant on about the TNG cast chemistry, and yeah, absolutely true, but man, just look at these guys. same insane chemistry level. how crazy is it that this kind of ultra natural chemistry that cannot be planned on the drawing board simply repeats :-)
and you could feel that when watching the show, at all times.
which is why i, as a hardcore nerd trek fan with a lot of focus on depth of the plot and blah blah blah, still very much love this particular trek show that you are not supposed to love too much as that kind of trek fan. screw it. i love these people. voyager was a great trek show, and a great show in its own right. period.

This is sooo funny. Love this cast. Wish Paramount could do a proper movie to see where everyone is at now. I think the great thing about Voyager is that 30 years later it still feels like a family because they were so far from the Federation. It's really nice to see how much these actors actually felt that way. It's a shame there aren't more videos of conventions with them.

I dunno why, I dunno how, but this got in my recommended. My uncle was a trekkie from childhood with the original series. Then he watched TNG which was his fav series because of all the philosophical aspects of it. While I was a kid back then I'd watch it sometimes with him but English wasn't my first language so following what was being said wasn't easy. When I was a teenager we'd listen to DS9 and then Voyager which Voyager was my uncle second fav series. We bonded watching that series after my mom passed. So for this to pop into my recommended on the day it would've been my uncle's 67th birthday, I can't stop crying, laughing and being a snot nosed man in his 40's watching this so thank you for uploading this.

But the cast was able to make it memorable, I'm just sad not all of them were here.

Then add "oh youre a Klingon btw""im a what?"
Just do what you did but you will be in prosthetics.
Garret I love, he is a genuine fan that knows all of this inside out. I'd hire him as my co writer and make a post TNG series. "what was that episode where the crew were forced into..."

The TNG crew are really fun-except Marina. The comment is accurate. She constantly takes little feminist jabs at everyone else, and even drops her politics into it. It’s downright strange how many chips that woman has on her shoulder. She said, directly, in a panel that she DISLIKES Patrick Stewart-as he was sitting there. She then went on to insult him for being bald for good measure. I get it, he might not be the most likable, but to repeatedly insult him and disparage him? None of it was jokingly, she was dead serious. Why come to the convention if you’re going to bash the cast? If she hates TNG as much as she does (whether her feelings are legitimate or not) then why not go away and not participate in these?

    Little known fact...
Lucille Ball is actually the reason why Star Trek exists.
In 1964, she bought the rights to Star Trek and made it happen after Every company shot it down.

Desilu Studios was an amazing TV pioneer. Not only did they give star trek a place to exist, they were basically the first to hit on the PRETTY OBVIOUS IN RETROSPECT idea of filming your shows, so they can be aired again later in just as high quality.
