No one talks about how MUCH to pan value wise. Like 1V and 2V, should they be the same value? What value is that? I'd think they would have different values since the 2V are behind 1V. How much are we to pan value wise? All the way? Elaborate?
thanks for all your work done on youtube! your videos have quality and clarity and they are essential for my growth in producing music! another applause for this new one
I believe it's because of frequency masking. Since each sound has it's own pocket of space, you can hear all the frequencies of each sound, which makes them sound louder.
Idk why but the non-panned version sounds better to me 😂 (a bit more warmer-ish? Since the high freq sounds are a little bit masked by the prominent mid range freqs, idk)
Oh man, my brother loves the midnight and got me into them. He was supposed to see them in Sacramento last weekend but due to health reasons couldn't make it. Any chance you could help me get a signed cd or something from them for my bro for Christmas? Also, thank you for the help in this video! Cheers Mark
Hey Fabio, love u bro, your videos are very professional. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I would like to ask u if u know some good courses for getting very good at sound designing or layering:) ? I suffer from not wanting to use presets, and I honestly struggle a bit. Anyway have a nice day ;)
I never skip the beginning. Fabio is my friend.

"Who even pans anymore?"

Thanks for sharing!
Didn't really grasp why Stereo Split mode was better/what the difference was between the modes... can you explain this further?
how would you mix a string quartet? 11st 2nd violins, viola and cello.
How would you pan keybord like thodes and wurlitzer
I enjoy the conversational tone of your videos. And appreciate all the knowledge you share! Thank you!!
Great track, and good demo of Logics Stereo panning. I was so glad they finally added this feature without needing the plugin.
The Midnight. That was a nice surprise. Kind of heroes of mine...
Excellent ! Thank you Fabio .
Very informative and a big difference in the mix. Thanks a lot for this tips.
You can narrow the stereo width by click and draging up from the center of green line of the stereo pan knob.
Sometimes you need to drag up from a little bit above of the green curved stereo pan Line.

i usually use auto panning i ableton on pads as a filler and create movement :)
I do this as well every so slightly on high hats to make them feel a bit more real - auto pan is ace!
Another good vid.
Keep the conversation at the start, that's one of the things that makes your clips better than others.
Great video, PANNING does give you an amazing depth to the sound! thank you.
What are your thoughts on mainly LCR panning, like Chris Lorde-Alge does a lot?
I pan everything i had no idea people didn't do this. recently found your channel and love it, great work.
Omg where did you get the america 2 stems. Love your work man
It feels like panning added volume to those elements...
I believe it's because of frequency masking. Since each sound has it's own pocket of space, you can hear all the frequencies of each sound, which makes them sound louder.
Laurent Dezo it's because of the panning law but your words are true as well.
And should i check the entire mix in mono before even pan something?
Great vid as always from beginning to end thank you Fabio
I watch your videos for info and for the intros, because both parts are interesting 👍
1:38 information starts at this part

Sure it’s more of an exercise to help understand the layout of panning

I love the tutorial but I somehow like the punch in the unpanned version but I can see how this can be useful ... thanks
yeah, somehow, I liked the unpanned version better too.
I'm kinda with you guys but Fabio did say it was exaggerated. I'd imagine the final product would be a lot more subtle.
I actually had no idea this “true stereo panning” mode even existed!
I literally never knew that stereo panning option existed...
I never knew maple bacon existed
Thank you Fabio great video :):) can work on my panning :)

The power of the pan, nice tut dude! I always pan my snare slightly off center?! Reckon it's best to keep it straight up?
The panning makes it sound a lot less hectic in my ears. I'm using panning, but I can definitely get better at it :P
Nice track!
video starts at 1:30
He talks about YOU at 0:39 - Go, and check it out!
@@GrzegorzBojanek I'd say r/whooooosh? I think he watched the intro if he knows where the main content starts.
@@Bejeerk Of course, he knows... But it would be better not to give this info - so I simply wanted him, to listen to Fabio again.
@@GrzegorzBojanek Fair enough!
Hey Fabio, didn't see the video card at the minute 4:00. haha. Cheers!!!
Well, don´t get me wrong but either pan or no pan, the music is awesome hehehe !!! Congrats to The Midnight
