EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'm working with close mic samples only. Knew there had to be a way to make them sound like Decca Tree mic positions. Thanks! Subbed and liked!
wait... what about the stage sound for different choirs of the orchestra? lets say you got brass from X company and strings from Y company, they recorded in different stages.... does it matter or the hall will make the trick ?
Interesting ! I noticed you don't disable VSTi reverb in Cinebrass/Cinesamples, I ALWAYS disable it to avoid double reverb :D I do use a very light predelay for every part (strings/brass...) to create spaceness (sent to a bus), predaleyed buses go to a global tail bus, ending to my stereo out. This way, I do control my reverb. Cinesamples are nice and very easy to use, if you use LASS you DO NEED to know how to position, EQ and reverb it :D
Thank you! I am stuck with BBC Discovery and have to emulate with that technique until I can buy better samples/Kontakt (fucking 400 bucks for that alone). This helps greatly!
Excellent video, clear explanations. I'd like to know the importance of reverbs on buses and why pros do that. And do I put reverb over large groups or individually? Thanks.
How can you get Vienna Symphonic Library plugins in the USA? Should I get it from sweetwater or the official Vienna site because I got confused on the official Vienna ensemble library site and I do wanted to use it in the future but they have euros but I wanted to use it in US dollars. Vienna is awesome but it does cost a lot
@@cinema_sound5003 okay thank you so much I took a look at that and I saw it. Thank you!! I just came to look to see where can I get it and buy it hopefully in the future 🙂
@@CrisGarcia6 I'm American and I used PayPal to buy epic orchestra. I was able to buy it. Also, New Vienna SE is on sale until the end of July. I hope to buy this week
Hello, your video where you cover the orchestral template for strings is disabled for comments so I am posting here. I would like to ask you if you program your strings patches or it is just raw playing from the keyboard. I heard a lot of people saying that no string library will ever sound realistic (although the sounds from your cinestrings sound very good) and that composers need to spend a lot of time in editing and programming (I am not sure what they mean exactly) etc to make it realistic. Is this true with the cinestrings you use?
Thinking about putting a FabFilter Pro-R algorithmic reverb set to .5sec (for the zero pre delay processing) in front of an Altiverb hall convo reverb (for the 30msec predelay processing). That should work, right?
Just being curious, would you still recommend Spaces II today? It's still on sales and I only have IR-1 from waves when it comes to convo reverb and I'd like to change it!
OK. I bought Spaces 2, which still has the Acme Storage patch. I applied your exact settings. Everything sounded great...until I tested in mono. The reverb destroys the phase correlation. Is there a workaround?
Good insight into sample treatment, looking forward to applying to some brass libraries thanks
This was very helpful!!! Thank You!
Glad it was helpful!
Love your videos... thank you...
This is so interesting
Very insightfull! Thx! Greetings from NL.
So helpful! Thanks!

Yes,
In the CineBrass UI you forgot its reverb on. That's easy to miss. Small green button on the right.
WHere can use get this cheap on Amazon as we you mentioned? So far I can't find it.
Niceeee
is the cue from ca 0:48 by you?
yes indeed
wow, super cool!
Audio music examples are ok but could be cut by 50% and you doubled the native verb which means.... this is not for me.
