All of Beethovens' symphonies are beyond words. They are all exciting and enjoyable to listen to. All different exciting variations of the theme in each symphony. As a violinist, i like the violin parts it's very musical.I like the timpani part also. The timpani really adds alot to the excitement of this particular symphony. Beethoven utilized alot of timpani and brass. 🎉❤. Well done!

One thing the pandemic did was reduce orchestra sizes and music of this era benefitted. I learned to love the specialist sound of groups like The Hanover Bandafter growing up with the huge orchestral sound. Now. All I need is orchestras to play Siegfried Idyll one instrument to each part as standard practice and I will be happy. There’s a challenge for you SSO. 😀

You’re welcome to the small orchestra sound. Yes it’s fine in venues that would correspond to the era of the classical composers, however from my experience in today’s overall much larger concert halls they generally don’t work. The engineers here have captured the sound well and it’s very good but if you were for instance sitting in the Esplanade Concert Hall the experience could be very different.

@@paullewis2413I have been at a performance of Milhaud’s La création du monde, written for a small ensemble, in the Royal Albert Hall. There were no problems.
