The "gray build" at the start of the video gave me an idea, a run where you can only pick up items and trinkets of the same color, for example, starting as Isaac with the D6 You can only pick up red (or predominantly red) items/trinkets.

Little more complicated challenge idea for the counterfeit dollar:
Tainted Cain, remove the bag of crafting, give him libra, money=power, deep pockets, and counterfeit dollar, but remove all the starting coins.
Your stats are now entirely dependent on how often you get hit because you can't get new items. The better you play, the stronger you get and vise-versa. That kind of run has matt written all over it.

Instead of using the "NO!" trinket, you could put the item you're showcasing in the pocket item spot, so you always have the active item spot available. There's an item in fiend folio called "Glass Suitcase" that puts your active item in the pocket item spot, you can just use it at the start of the run

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but the red apple is a luck x0 multiplier, and the white is a x1 +5. When you dropped the apple in the secret room luck became 3, and picking it back up made it 0/8
There's a mod (IDK if it's new) that is interesting, it's name is faith's reward and it has good items in terms of concept (and execution of the concept), I won't make spoilers since I want you to discover it by yourself
iirc, forcing an ERROR room in either Dark Room or Chest (using crawlspace methods I think) does work, but at least for Dark Room, it takes you to the Void

You gotta play a game with Deep Pockets + Counterfeit Dollar + Money = Power. You can make it a challenge run by not taking any damage ups. Just gotta keep your money up.
If you want to do a Basement seed challenge you could start with Damocles so death is guaranteed, or you could take every item until you crash. TMTrainer shenanigans could also be a challenge.

Little note about the infinite basements seed, if you teleport to the dark room via the sacrifice room, you can beat the lamb and finish the run, so I recommend doing that when you're done with the run. (Also dark room doesn't repeat)
Mattman, I’ll have you know I actually got a few games for Christmas and have played through two of them. It’s good to take breaks from your main game once every two years :)

Challange Idea: the apple + rock bottom
You are not allowed to pick up any items (except smth like polaroid or the key pieces) and are only allowed to use the apple once per floor (so you always get 1 red then 1 white)
Watching MattMan gaslight himself into thinking it’s “nothing to ride home about” and not “nothing to write home about” when the logic for the correct way to say it is so much easier to understand is a mattman moment🤦🏻♂️
today i beat dogma, the horsemen and the beast without shooting or even moving. i was playing T.forgor and i got the finger and gnawed leaf, which for some reason makes you invincible even if your moving so long as your holding the body. and using the finger and about an hour and a half of patience, i beat all of these bosses while not even moving or shooting. so its been a good day :)
Never knew that, when you use magic skin, that the no! trinket doesn't negate the effect. Doesn't make much sense why it wouldn't work, but meh.
I think instead of starting with a gulp no trinket you should just start with school bag. Not necessarily balanced but I think it would be way more fun to watch
