Bogdan and Simmons should help get Kawhi more elbow touches. That's something that Leonard and George would get for each other, and Norm/DJ don't really do that secondary playmaking stuff as well.

Well thanks Adam for dissecting what could be something that's happening with Kawhi. Need that optimism when I can't help being pessimistic with what I have watched last recent games.

    Good recap Adam.
Our starting lineup has been good vs the lower tier teams but it’s not a playoff caliber lineup that is effective against the upper tier teams, which has been evident based on our record against winning teams and the play recently against Charlotte, Utah and other teams who we should beat easily.

Re: Kawhi "skipping the intro line" - he's done that 9/10 games his entire Clippers tenure. He's not someone who's gonna wait around and wave to the crowd or whatever.

Don’t be surprised if Big Ben is eventually inserted into the starting lineup. As good as DJJ has been, he really is not an ideal starter at PF because of his build and lack of strength against bigger players.
Simmons is a legitimate PF, and a better PG than what we currently have on the roster. Harden simply makes too many mistakes and dominates the flow of the offense, slowing it down to a very stagnant offense, which can be defended with quick and physical defenders.
At this stage in Harden’s career he needs to play off the ball. Clippers have one of the most stagnant and ineffective offenses to this point in the season.

@@DavidR-lw4hq I've tried to point this out a few times but playing two non shooters in the front court would be disastrous.. And the starting lineup numbers with Kawhi DJ harden zu norm have been outstanding.

@@ClippersTalk I hear what you’re saying … but think about this; having a 6’10 PF/PG who is also a lob threat like DJJ but can pass over the defense to shooters Kawhi, Norm & Harden (off ball). He is a lob threat himself, like DJ, a better low post/baseline dunker option. We don’t need another shooter (DJ is not that either) when you have 3 wings who can shoot 3’s AND a dominant inside scorer in Zu. We really need a better point guard who can play WITH Harden (why the got rid of KPJ) not another shooter. It makes Harden even more of a weapon. The offense is horrible right now; Lue keeps complaining that the pace is too slow & they need to get Kawhi more involved. Simmons solves this & other problems. He also improves the defense bc he can guard the longer players we will be facing the rest of the season; it takes some pressure off Kawhi & Zu. Also allows for Nico to be more versatile in his roles. This is going to be good if he stays healthy!
Simmons makes both the starting and second units better if he plays same rotation with Kawhi as one of the early substitutions and re-enter the game at the start of 2nd & 4th qtrs.
If they sign Simmons to an extension of 2 or more yrs, I expect Harden to have a reduced role and short tenure with the team after next season (no extension).

@DavidR-lw4hq you seem to have a lack of understanding of what's actually happening out there maybe because you don't like harden or basketball philosophies or something else, but the starting unit of Kawhi DJ zu norm Harden have an offensive rating of 130 and a defensive rating of 103. They have the best net rating of any starting lineup in the league. Ben Simmons is a complete non shooter and someone who's not a better low post baseline dunker option or defender than DJ so no he should not be starting over him lol. Saying DJ is "not a shooter either" when he's better than league average from three this year compared to a literal non shooter in ben is just kinda denying reality man. Appreciate you taking the time to post and everything but gotta keep it real. Already talking about signing ben to an extension and how that can reduce harden's time with the team is really REALLY getting ahead of ourselves. Not sure you've seen ben the last few years compared to harden.

Excellent investigative follow up and coverage about the vibe and comments by Kawhi.
I personally noticed the change after Kawhi had a few breakout games last week … after that Harden has been taking the most shots since the slide started, with Zu & Kawhi having reduced attempts and numbers.
My personal belief is that Harden wants to be the show; but for the sake of the team Kawhi, Zu & Norm need to be the focal points of the offense, with Harden playing off ball. The team actually has a much better flow when Harden is not on the floor, both offensively & defensively.

@@DavidR-lw4hq you said the team actually has a much better flow both offensively and defensively and none of this is backed up by anything. You don't like harden clearly and I think it's blinding your takes.

@@ClippersTalk I said that and I’m not wrong. You left out the Clippers are bottom 10 in offense, points per gm, total assist, assist to turnovers. Harden is shooting 39%FG / 34% 3pt with a 2-1 assists to turnovers (8ast - 4to) which are all less than efficient numbers. But don’t confuse statistics with performance on the court. I don’t base my assessments on stats, it’s based on performance on the court, things we all can see if we aren’t wearing blinders.
Harden has been taking the most shots of every one almost every night. He’s supposed be the point guard not the shooting guard. So no, I don’t like his game, it’s an ugly style and it’s not winning basketball.
If the coach says “we need to play with pace” but yet has one of the slowest nonchalant pg’s in the league running the show. Harden continually makes careless,
      brainless turnovers, falls
down all over the court, makes bad decisions, that’s a problem. Since we cannot trade him, we need a more efficient ball handler to play with him, and at the same time a bigger body. Ben Simmons fills both needs.
But I told you all of this the first week of season after we played OKC. ISO basketball is not the best style for this team, at least not the way Harden plays it. Sure there is a point in the season where it will be needed, in close games, but it should be with the most efficient players not the least efficient.

@@DavidR-lw4hq this isn't hard. On the floor they have an offensive rating of 113 with James Harden. Off the floor it drops to 107 without him. That's what matters. What he actually means when he's on the court vs off. Case closed. There's zero argument for them being better this season with him off the floor when you take biased eye test out of it and actually look at the numbers that matter, which is how much you score per 100 possessions with and without said player. Sorry, these are the facts 🤷‍♂️ good luck to ya
