Hey brother your videos are fantastic and very informative. I picked up the Rockaway HD 12’ and paired it up with the Okuma-8K..What a great combo for long distance. This beats my Tiralejo 12 which is twice the price! Great advice and now waiting on the Flite which is on its way!
I love fishing but it's too hot to fish, I was thinking to take out a portable chair with an umbrella and wade in half a calf of water. Staring at my boat, oh hell no by 11AM I'd be a fried piece of chicken. I'll leave the cray, cray fishermen to fish in this heat and enjoy and envy their catch. Great watering hole, I haven't fished at that place for some time. It's a good place to go to if you don't want to drive further into Galveston.

Yo man, how do you always get that perfect corner of the mouth hook set when your fishing like that? I just got into catching reds off the jetties with cut bait, I most fly fish or throw artificial. Lately I’ve been finding the fish are getting hooked in the back of the throat. I was using 11/0 in line circle hook and I file down the barbs, just easier for hook removal and somehow it’s always been in the back of their throat.

Slinging a long liter is difficult & I see your liter is like 6' long. How do you wrap it( lay it) on those weight prongs to keep it from getting tangled? Should be simple but I haven't caught it on video clearly..... Inquiring minds want to Know? Your video make me keep asking questions ~ I can't help it ! peace thanks man & GB ALL

I always bring a crab net just for the reason so we can use them for fresh bait. Crab boil don't hurt either. 😂

I usually let them run for like 3 secs and then set the hook. Also, a smaller gap on the hook tends to do that as well.

Yep, it's a flite 12k. The Salina is a great reel, love the way it handles fish, drag is super smooth as well.
