- Surf fishing late summer starts to heat up! We went surf fishing at surf side beach, the only goal being is to catch some sort of big fish. I surf casted out 8oz weight and a big ol bait, this is what the surf provided!

I got that Penn Long Cast 7000 and I LOVE IT ✌🏾It's Light A.F and The Bale closes manually that way you don't snap your Line , It's a Must Have ..

But why cut the sting rays tail you can just grab it by its breathing hole and flip it back into the water. My wife and I caught one the size of a car tire and that's how I released it. Now the sting ray has no way to protect it self from predators you mine as well have kept it.

If you learned how to throw with a conventional reel you wouldn’t have to wade out like that to cast. You could get more distance with your feet planted in the sand.
