I like your down to earth presentations, and you are not full of sponsors and pushing products. That will bring me back to watch and look forward to more from you, Mike.
Great video sir. Thankful for you sharing it with us. Down here on Lake D'arbonne, most of the crappie are still much deeper at this time of year. Very rare to find them that shallow here except when they spawn.
Really like your video! Word of advice, I see after you catch one, you lay your rod down with your jig and cork over the side of the boat while you go to the live well. Good way to loose a rod and reel. Ask me how I know! LOL! Fish took the bait while I was at the live well and over the side it went
Nice video, this is just the type of crappie fishing I was dreaming of when I purchased my livescope using with my ulterra trolling motor and power poles. I have since mounted my TM to a separate mount. I normally fish deeper waters.
Thanks for the report, Mike. Your livescope was spot on for locating the roaming school. Even with a conventional depth finder it would not have been possible to make the decision as to where to cast. Hopefully when our overnight temps start climbing into the 40s the crappie will move onto docks and banks. Best wishes, Don
Enjoy your videos. Always find them to be informative. I especially like that your videos show different techniques to catch fish. Would like to see more of how you are finding fish on side imaging before stopping to fish as you do in last 2 videos. You have a great video showing finding fish on docks on side imaging before dock shooting. I ask as I am still trying to learn how to find suspended crappie that are not holding to structure on side imaging. I can see structure away from boat, but still struggle with actually seeing the fish. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for sharing!
Great video Mike!!! I haven't ever tied any jigs - but think that it would be an awesome feeling making something that would fool a fish into biting. Hopefully more video's in the future.
Great Video Mike, id love to see that live scope in action. Thats something i dont think I can afford to invest in lol. Thanks for posting these videos
What area of the lake do you fish? I'm located around the 47mm so I usually fish between (42-52mm). Crappie fishing is starting to pick up - The spawn is on!
Love all your vids mike! What action you using for your cherrywood rods for trolling? I assume you use the 7' rods but do you use the med power or med heavy power?
Simply easier to get the fish out without freezing your hands in cold weather. Also, I modified it to have 15 hooks which is the legal limit on most lakes in Mo. so no need for counting and keeping track of how many fish you have caught. Live Scope is definitely worth the money!
Love watching your videos my family and i love trolling cranks for crappie out of curiosity would you divulge what general area of the lake you fish my family and i fish the gravois
I do most of my crankbait trolling on the lower end of the lake between the dam and the 19 mile marker and in the Gravois area simply because I have a house in that area and it is more convenient.
@Mike Baker Videos 22k views in 6 days! Congratz :) +1 Like and subscribed. The large-ish presentation you tied on that 1/32 red sickle keeps the juvies away (supposedly); looks good. Did you pour that jig, too? What size/brand is that red hook?
I seriously don't get it, I go and can't catch not a damn thing. Its like I see the fishes at the depth, use multiple types of bait, and no bite, zero, nada...I quit fishing.
GREAT job! Taking grandkids bass, crappie fishing super helpful
That jig looked mighty tasty I wouldn't mind eating it myself.

Love the videos! I'm from Lake Ozark and go to Mizzou, so the channel is my go to study break. If you ever need 30 instead of 15 i'm available! lol
You the man Mike! Love it!
Excellent video Mike. Thanks for sharing your insight with us. Entertaining and informative!
That's awesome. I'll watch someone that makes their own jigs fish all day. Nice slabs.
Glad to see you making more super videos ! Thank you for helping to teach us about catching crappie.
Another Great and informative video .. Thanks Mike 👍
Always a great feeling to catch fish on your own hand tied jigs. Congrats.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like real fun.
That live scope is awsome
White bass are good eats. Great videos Mike

Glad to see you back at it Mike, great video, enjoyed it very much, I'd say you got this fishing game figure out. I look forward to your next one.
Love your videos Mike, great job and please continue to make them.

I will try to shoot more video on side imaging looking for suspended fish away from structure. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thanks for your time making it.
Thank you for watching it.
Outstanding video! Dennis
Awesome video. I would be interested to see what the groups look like on your side imaging as well. Thanks again.
Could see the cork pretty well. I enjoyed that, thanks sir. Subbed
Thanks Mike.

I used to called that bobber jigging, def a hit night time around boat dock
New sub and fan here, love seeing the live scope view of what your seeing.

Lots of times I think they will bite anything, in Columbia looking forward to getting back down there
Happy to see you makings vids again, we fish the same lake:)
We fish like that in Indiana all year round. Awesome job
Good stuff !!!
Great Video Mike, id love to see that live scope in action. Thats something i dont think I can afford to invest in lol. Thanks for posting these videos
Good luck
Great video, keep it up!
Caught crappies corking yesterday 10 inches in Southern Virginia
It's cute how you said "I know nothing about tying jigs, I got on RUclips" hahaha I did the same and killed the small mouth bass before winter hit!!
I need to get me one of those live scopes seems were I fish there is no fish lol or maybe its just me... lol great video!!!!
Hey Mike, really enjoy your video’s! Can’t wait for the next one! I have a mavic pro if you want to take me with you 👍
nice
I just found ur channel
Nice vid new sub from nj!!
Hey mike love your videos what kind monitor do I need to buy for live scope thanks
I always recommend buying the biggest you can afford. However, even an inexpensive Garmin 9" that is live scope compatible is a great locater.
Awesome video, new to your channel 👍
I've never caught a crappie, but I am a crappy fisherman.
Mike, enjoy watching your videos. What type of rod holders do you use for you spider rigging?
Perotti
Who downvotes this stuff? Nice vid!
When I come to the lake this summer can I take you fishing?
What area of the lake do you fish? I'm located around the 47mm so I usually fish between (42-52mm). Crappie fishing is starting to pick up - The spawn is on!
I fish the lake from dam to dam but spend most of my time from Bagnell Dam to 14mm
Love all your vids mike! What action you using for your cherrywood rods for trolling? I assume you use the 7' rods but do you use the med power or med heavy power?
Medium.
Mike, around what Mike Marker and part of the Lake of the Ozarks do you normally fish for crappie? I fish the Grand Glaize. Just curious.
I truly fish from dam to dam on the Osage and in the Gravois. Rarely in the Glaize or Niangua.
Enjoy your videos. Why a stringer plus live well? Also, Live Scope worth investing the money? Been using Helix 10 Mega everything.

Live Scope is definitely worth the money!
How doe that guy drive into his garage
I watched your 1st video on the live scope transducer. What kind of graph are you using with it?
Echo Map Plus 93SV
More livescope please....
What if we don't have a livescope?
Use side imaging, down imaging or traditional 2D sonar.
If I’m catching crappie to eat, I’d rather catch 10 or 11 inchers than bigger ones.
@Mike Baker Videos 22k views in 6 days! Congratz :) +1 Like and subscribed. The large-ish presentation you tied on that 1/32 red sickle keeps the juvies away (supposedly); looks good. Did you pour that jig, too? What size/brand is that red hook?
I did pour that jig with a #1 red sickle hook. Not sure of the brand. I order them from Do-It molds.
@@MikeBakerVideos Thank you :), that helps me. I follow Richard Gene's channel, too -- good Crappie fisherman seem to prefer the sickle :)
Upper Osage?
No.
I’ve never had the kind of money it takes to throw my tackle aside or on the ground like that.
Yes, I would keep 50.
THE POLE 2 LONG 🤔
Great video I have a channel too it would be awesome if you could check it out!♥️🎣
I seriously don't get it, I go and can't catch not a damn thing. Its like I see the fishes at the depth, use multiple types of bait, and no bite, zero, nada...I quit fishing.
Don’t quit. We all have those days.
