Loving the rb25 build I'm enjoying it a lot I miss the r33 I can't wait for it to be back on the road tearing through the streets it'll be fucking sick especially it being straight piped and also with a screamer pipe it'll make such good noises.
Its looking good Andrew, 380kw that's awesome. I wonder how much I will get out of my stock RB26 if I ever finish it, this holiday in Malaysia has sent me broke, at least I can still afford to watch your video's....... LOL..... The spider also wanted some attention, Bloody Australia and their spiders...... LOL.....
stock rb26 cardo gtr was running 600hp stock bottom end i believe hahaha when i go japan next year ill probably go broke buying another car and all the costs for drifting there ;’(
@@ClutchKickJunkies yeah cardo GTR was getting 600hp, But I'm not doing anything internal besides just fitting ARP head studs just to up my boost a little more. The rest of the part swaps is external. Only replacing the stock twin turbos to the Tomei twins. Everything else around the motor I'm replacing. Don't have the cash to do internal mods, as much as I would luv too, but money don't grow on tree's....... LOL
@@vindiesel1066 well anyone who knows anything about rbs knows they're not cheap to play with lol. Rb26 can usually hold 600whp stock bottom with basic bolt ons. I'm not sure if you have a short nose crank 26 or long nose but either way I'd recommend you doing at least billet oil pump gears ,oil restrictor and head drain. I'm actually getting ready to do a slightly built 26 myself shooting for 600hp stock bottom with single turbo, poncams, valve springs, hg/studs and injectors. My buddy made 525hp on tomei arms turbos, built tomei head and stock bottom on his gt-r. The car would of made more but ran out of fuel. Good luck with your build either way. Oh I've also be making 450hp on my s1 rb25 with hg/studs, injectors, single turbo tuned on apexi pfc for 6 years now and never had a single issue drifting it. This is the longest comment ever lmao 😂🤷♂️
@@clutchkickpj693 I was actually thinking about those billet gears for my oil pump? I will talk to my mechanic / tuner about that. It's just costing me thousands just to repaint it and a few cosmetic repairs plus a thousands more just for the twin Tomei turbos, not including all the other parts which are: V-Spec 2 Radiator + shroud + silicone hoses, thermostat, fan belts, water pump, timing belt kit, ARP head bolts, injectors, fuel pump, gaskets, fuel lines, vacuum lines, Nismo engine mounts and that's just of the top of my head. Spent already roughly $15,000 still another $10,000 or more to go and that's what has killed my budget so far. I'm getting over it ......at times I feel like just giving up and putting it on hold, but at the same time I really just want to finish it. But you know how it is once you start it basically never ends because their is so much shit to replace and rebuild that before you know it I will be $50,000 grand in debt and that's not what I want. I will only do as much as I can afford, but at this stage its not much.......although I will talk to my mechanic regarding those billet gears but as for the other things you mentioned I will see what he says and how many more thousands that will cost.... LOL...
Love the vids man, just my 2 cents though, I find myself hitting mute whenever the music starts during clips. I find that it's waaaaay loud over your general speaking clips.
cheers mate and cheers for the input! usually happens with vlogs i come across it all the time on channels. plus my go pro has an inbuilt mic so music production vs gopro mic always gonna be different. i will be getting a shotgun mic soon to help the voice audio be picked up better. not a fan of the gopro mic at all!
Nice video, I have the same cams in my rb25/30 and they have a nice subtle lumpiness. On torquing the cam wheels, use a spanner on the cam (it has cut outs for it) to lock the cam and torque it before putting the belt on as the belt can prevent the cam gears from torquing up flush.
Been there at same problem, got like 5 lifters that wouldn't fit straight away😂😂now i'm fighting with original intake manifold and all hoses around it! I'ts mess!!!
what do you reconnend doing oil pump setup i have a series 2 im guna be rebuilding soon i thought about going spline drive idk what i wana do yet for oil pump rest of the build i have figured out. any thoughts would be great? thanks love your videos
Watch out for that 6 boost gate angle, often they cant control the boost cause its at a silly 90deg angle.. my sinco mani is awesome and the sound is angry👌
Sick build man!! You really do deserve more subscribers!! question for you as I will be rebuilding my rb25. Where did you find the service manual ? I’m going to need the torque specifications !!
cheers man and good luck! Skyline Australia has a lot of old hidden treasures but make sure you find legit stuff as a lot of people talk crap or say my mate did this but have no proof to back it up so always find a good source of info
Hi mate, I really enjoy the videos. Keep up the fantastic work! Just a quick request, when the 33’s in the dyno can you make a video on the dyno? Cheers
Hey man absolute wicked build, I’m having trouble with me rb25 hydraulic lifters, 4 of them are pumping up way too much and holding cylinders open which drops my compression, constantly bleeding them back down and pumping them up again and have no clue what so ever what’s going on, does anyone here or you know what I could try to get these lifters working? It’s an absolute headache and all there is left is a tune :( haven’t driven my car for 6 months and it hurts, thanks in advance
hey mate i would suggest swapping those 4 with others ones and see if it makes a difference. i could imagine how annoying it could be! i would swap them out man for new ones luckily not too big of a job
@@ClutchKickJunkies by the time you add either factory j pipe or a couple of bends to get rid of the j pipe, it actually isnt the case. You should look into getting a ffp for shorter pipe run. To make it less laggy you need correct size dump and rear turbo housing for your turbo to suit your motor
@@ClutchKickJunkies oh yea I can agree with you on that but it's a sacrifice I made for other gains but either way digging the build series man keep up the good work.
Get your ckj sticker here clutchkickjunkies.bigcartel.com/
Giving me so much motivation to build my RB , nothing better than stock piling parts and being able to install them. Love it mate!
thanks man and get on it!
Idk man I'd say money in bank account is better cuz building rbs has me broke asf all the time lmao #rbftw
Your engine build just gets better. Awesome vid and it was good to see Boris the spider. Looking for to the next one! 👍 👌
thanks man!!
Thanks man these is the videos we need for our daily vitamins
I deeply love this channel and all the work you put into your cars every week dude. You deserve 100k subscribers just sayin
Um glad to see videos on RB builds instead of 2jz all the time
jz are over rated imo rather see people work on their rb motors and make em tough!

The cams ur useing did u need to do springs or are they st8 drop in can u set up link for them thanks
drop ins mate. but im using supertech valve springs. follow the build for more info :)

Are the exhaust valves fully open at tdc?
Is the cams 256. 8.5 lift?
I want to see a build like this in a stag
Defusalxd I have tomei 260cams 45mm hypergate arp 2000 studs nitto head drain high flowed op6 turbo etc and it made 376 at 20psi it’s good fun
Getting there bud, still waiting on mine :(
Specs on the cams?
256 degrees, got it!
Bro please do a forward facing intake plenum..... it was the best decision i made when making my r34
but the stock ones work the best though. Look wise ffp wins but to response stock wins :)
Fuck yaa doin it righttt
👍
What's that song called in the intro
Why no front face intake?
i would love to because shorter piping and looks better but its no where near as responsive as the stock manifold. stock intake mani are perfect
