- Bangladesh is facing severe civil unrest as student protests over government job quotas escalate. The death toll has reached 133, prompting authorities to impose a nationwide curfew, deploy the military, and issue shoot-on-sight orders. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has cancelled diplomatic plans amid the crisis. An internet shutdown has been implemented, hampering communication. Nearly 1,000 Indian students have been evacuated, while others remain under the High Commission's watch. The US has warned against travel to Bangladesh and is removing some diplomatic staff. The situation continues to be volatile and closely monitored internationally.
