Musk is Correct that the BBC is funded by the Gov. The 'Licence Fee' is the BBC Tax on the British People who pay an amount dictated by the Gov not voluntarily but Under Threat, under Duress of our homes being invaded by the Police, imprisonment or fine. The BBC used to run ads that had a Detector Van parked outside homes & a sinister voiceover stating "They're watching..." whatever as if the family were engaged in Criminal activity when in fact they were just watching TV without paying the BBC Tax. It is absurd that the BBC still call the Tax the "Licence Fee", an archaic term from the early days when the BBC Dominated Broadcasting. Why would anyone need a Licence to watch TV which requites no skill or qualifications or training. It is not a Licence, it is a Tax Declaration Form proving you have paid the Tax. EDIT James Clayton is the "BBC's North American Technology Reporter" which is probably why most folks have never heard of him. They have now. Pity Eddie Mair didn't do the interview. EDIT.
"Extraordinary claims require Extraordinary evidence" I dunno what's more amazing, the fact he lied or the fact he couldn't find ANY hateful comments on TWITTER, of all places
Dumb people don't realize that really smart people won't let them talk their way out of something or let things slide. Musk: Give me one example. Reporter: I actually don't have one, I haven't used Twitter for 3 weeks. Musk: So, you've used it before that. Reporter: Right, I've used it since you've taken over. Musk: So give me one example. Reporter: Duh duh duh...🤦
Newman Vs Peterson was Channel 4, not the BBC. Still, disappointing to see the BBC reporter make an unfounded assertion then try to gloss over it rather than admit he hadn't prepared properly. I do so hate those insincere "let's move on as I don't think this is getting us anywhere" type comments. Sounds diplomatic, but it often suits one party at the expense of another - so is actually a long way from what it seems. The same sentiment can be expressed without being so dictatorial - e.g. "I believe it'd be sensible to move on, how do you feel about that?" If Mr Clayton were accused of (for instance) supporting extremism, but no example was given - and when he asked for one, heard the same phrases he uttered here, I'm sure he'd be uncomfortable moving on until those accusations were substantiated and/or revoked 🤨
Interviewer was unprepared for sure but using this as an example of anything is silly. It's like asking "what were you doing last month on the 9th at 835am" and expecting someone to immediately remember. What the interviewer should do here is just say "I can't remember off the top of my head, we'll get back"
He said he was personally feeling that the content on twitter has become hostile after Elon took over and can't make a single example while question the policy of the company not allowing hate speech. Practically saying that Elon should allow hate speech since it would make it easier for him to use Twitter.
The reporter has been in the echo chamber for so long he truly expected Elon to just agree with what the reporter assumed was accepted truth, that “hate speech” was way up on Twitter. Was there ever any actual proof of that claim? Doesn’t matter, it was repeated so many times it became true. He was so flustered because he had never actually been challenged on that claim inside the echo chamber.
If only BBC could report real news instead of bias propaganda reporting. BBC needs to take note from other countries. Thats why I have started watching DW and RT.
James Clayton is clearly not that bright, he just has an agenda and talking points, while funnily making the very point he is arguing against - but without knowing it. James is a Goddamn Genius, Gump.

It is also hypocritical that only one side of the political spectrum (the far left) is allowed to express hate. The irony being that these skinny 3000 gendered woke people would get their clocks cleaned by everyone else if they had an even playing field rather than 'cowardly safe space barracks for me, open battlefield where I can snipe you for thee'
Tha art of nuance of conversation and the allowance of 'real' people and real emotion crushed under the aegis of phoney, socially engineered woke culture, means we become seething frauds, just as the elite and Klaus Schwaub likes it. Soon we do not remember what it is to be human, living under the fake social contractarian, Orwellian mores of low IQ woke people etc etc.
Of course this BBC lackey promotes this, he was noncing with Jimmy Saville at great Ormond Street with the rest of the BBC.
Officer: Do you know how fast you were going?
James Clayton: I don't think we're getting anywhere. Let's move on.
You cut out Elon saying "You Lied..."
Whatever you think of Elon Musk, no one can argue that he got this reporter who was clearly talking nonsense and trying to get his boxes ticked. Is Twitter perfect? NO . But don't make up claims out of your backside if you at least can't back them up. ESPECIALLY when trying to out smart Elon Musk🙄
The fact that it's so easy to find hateful nonsense on Twitter too yet this happened..... Wow
Elon Musk looked like an idiot. He wanted an anecdote so he could attack the one anecdote. Nowhere is an anecdote considered evidence. Musk will always ride the short-bus.
@@blackout07blue so... then.... the reporter should've cited other evidence, How can a journalist make such a claim and not provide any evidence... not even some kind of study.
@@blackout07blue The stuttering fool made himself look like an idiot. Musk just asked a simple question.
Impressive idiocy and incompetence by the BBC reporter James Clayton. He has made history.
Thank You Elon Musk! This is the first time I’ve seen a non violent confrontation done so well, grounded, focused & the point terribly needed. He got what he deserved. Not a drop of preparation to provide a consistent line, evidenced based nor realizing how brilliant Elon is. If he’d watched Twitter since Elon took over he’d likely of noticed how Elon easily debones their crappy fat & meat to strike gold.
This is amazing.
If you’re unaware Anecdotes aren’t real evidence.. in reality, this again makes it clear how stupid & special-Olympics-like Elon Musk is.
Mainstream media caught with their pants down 🤡🤜
Too bad the video snippet ends here - ... it got even better after that with the topic mentioned by the end.
Elon sounded like an idiot here. So we can only hope.
There is a full interview on RUclips of it
@@christineguttilla6465 where i cant find the unedited clip
Just when it was getting interesting. Funny that
RUclips channel Andyp has full version, watched it earlier.
Credit to the Independant for showing the best parts.
"Excruciating?" I'd call it highly satisfying.
Imagine getting the interview of the century just to royally muck it up...my respect for Elon has just increased a hundred times. This should be shown as a 'what happens when you don't prepare' warning at journalism school! The full interview is well worth a watch btw.
Reminds me of conversations that you might have with people that claim to hold certain views only because it's the consensus of their social media echo chamber. Then if you actually ask them *why* they hold that view, it often crumbles to pieces with absolutely no substance...because they don't think for themselves.
Why did they cut when he said "that's a lie"?? wtf?
The reporter should’ve just been honest and said he was told to ask that.
The bbc won’t post this 😂 in fact they’re trying to suppress it 🤣🤣🤣
Lol. Elon Musk looks like a moron here. Anecdotes aren’t substantive evidence. Elon just wanted one story or tweet to discredit.
So far they've only put up a short clip where Elon makes a concession.
Was just about to get to the best bit…
Elon Musk could not look any more stupid. Acting like anecdotes are evidence. Lmao
They cut the part where he says "You Just Lied". 😂😂
Fantastic moment. Media these days are disgraceful.
This guy should have his license to report the news revoked - musk your endeavours are the lifeline of our existence
Hate is a natural human emotion to ignorant people. However, as humans who are not just a bag of passions, it is out intellect which brings enough equanimity to see that many people, thanks to woke culture and, yes, some neo conservative ideas, suffer from very low IQ's.

He evaded the question entirely. No one is saying there wasn't any hate speech before Musk, so the personal feed of a white dude from england is not a viable answer to the question of "is hate speech worse".
This is literally how media works these days. You train executives to joust with press and use rhetorical techniques to evade questions without looking like they have evaded the question and then stupid people clap.
Lol. Why? Because he didn’t provide a meaningless anecdotes? Anecdotes are the dumbest form of evidence in the world.
@@blackout07blue you keep saying that.. He can't provide ONE single example of this so-called "hate speech" he claims to have had to endure on Twatter.
Not ONE!
Examples aren't anecdotes,
but YOU are anecdotal.
Your mother was a hamster
and your father smelt of Elderberries.
Now, go away or I shall taunt you again!!
What license exactly?
Dang. Musk just wrecked that reporter. 😂
The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts the moment you are born and doesn't stop until you are confronted by truth and logic.
I think it's fair to say This guy just got Kathy Newman'd!
yes, it's a shame the BBC have realised their man got humiliated, unlike Channel 4 who posted the entire exchange because they thought Newman did well lol.
Well done Elon Musk,it's about time the tables were turned on the bbc.
The guy is like backtracking, going sideways, flip-flopping, and even doing cartwheels to avoid answering his own question.
It clearly wasn't excruciating for us. Can't say the same for the BBC reporter though
The fact the BBC edited this out says it all really
he actually also turns the table on that next question as well.. on covid mis-information.. should have included that part as well
There is no such thing as hate speech, especially not in the jurisdiction of the U.S.A.
It's not even a legal term.
'There's a difference between hate speech and speeches that you hate' Abe Lincoln probably
Musk saying that this guy can't name a aingle example of hate speech does not equate to a lack of hate speech. Hate speech exists. Asking for or an example is dodging the question.
I love how he's begging to move on after he made an accusation he can't back up
Musk is Correct that the BBC is funded by the Gov. EDIT.
If it was that bad he should have remembered at least one thing
"Let's move on, we only have a certain amount of time to go through this long list of baseless accusations without you interrupting." 😂
"Extraordinary claims require Extraordinary evidence"
I dunno what's more amazing, the fact he lied or the fact he couldn't find ANY hateful comments on TWITTER, of all places
Can you name right now any twitter comment from memory?
"why should I distinguish between white people and racists?"
- Parag Agrawal, Twitter CEO.
Nov 2021
@@BartvanderHorst I think if you claim something like this you should have an iota of evidence.
@@BartvanderHorst I can't but if I was going to be whining to the CEO of Twitter about I'd make sure I have evidence and examples to show.
Appalling from BBC - is this what constitutes journalism? He was completely unprepared for this interview
Reporter dorked up.
the BBC keeps getting torched when they bring on non leftists. Jordan Peterson with Kathy Newman and now Elon Musk with this guy. I love it
Newman Vs Peterson was Channel 4, not the BBC.
"I believe it'd be sensible to move on, how do you feel about that?"
If Mr Clayton were accused of (for instance) supporting extremism, but no example was given - and when he asked for one, heard the same phrases he uttered here, I'm sure he'd be uncomfortable moving on until those accusations were substantiated and/or revoked 🤨
What the commentator should have just said was," I'm British, therefore I don't need to give examples. We Brits are above all that.
It's like he forgot he was going to interview a super genius
Just because you're BBC doesnt mean you're smart.
Elon Musk called him a liar. That is edited out!! Why?
You’re right!
Short-bus-Elon should know anecdotes aren’t evidence. So why is short-bus asking for anecdotes?
Let's move on, WTF?🤣 Caught on this spot..
"44 BILLION USD MINDSET",
ERROR PLUS ➕ WRONG TOOLS 🔧 EQUALS = NO RESULTS; FROM BBC. BLESS UP BROTHER ELON.
Absolutely brutal for the BBC guy…
We're always supposed to assume that leftists are telling the truth, which is frankly hilarious.
Damn, Elon got him!
Never take on a genius without factual information.
We need Elon to buy out the BBC, end the licence tax and get new English loving staff in.
and why not include the BBC Covid misinformation?
Interviewer was unprepared for sure but using this as an example of anything is silly. It's like asking "what were you doing last month on the 9th at 835am" and expecting someone to immediately remember.
What the interviewer should do here is just say "I can't remember off the top of my head, we'll get back"
The vaccine question was the best part. Zero cover of that clip
He said he was personally feeling that the content on twitter has become hostile after Elon took over and can't make a single example while question the policy of the company not allowing hate speech. Practically saying that Elon should allow hate speech since it would make it easier for him to use Twitter.
Elon destroyed the BBC reporter and rightfully so!
The reporter has been in the echo chamber for so long he truly expected Elon to just agree with what the reporter assumed was accepted truth, that “hate speech” was way up on Twitter. Was there ever any actual proof of that claim? Doesn’t matter, it was repeated so many times it became true.
He was so flustered because he had never actually been challenged on that claim inside the echo chamber.
where is the full video?
If only BBC could report real news instead of bias propaganda reporting. BBC needs to take note from other countries. Thats why I have started watching DW and RT.
Lmao. You tell’em, you incel with a tiny dck.
James Clayton is clearly not that bright, he just has an agenda and talking points, while funnily making the very point he is arguing against - but without knowing it. James is a Goddamn Genius, Gump.
In Elon Musk we trust
Sad state but unfortunately true.
Always remember guys their is no such thing as hate speech on the internet. Everybody is so nice to each other now a days.
Elon Musk essentially pulled up the guy's shorts and tied them in a knot over top of his head. 😂
BBC embarrassing itself once again. It’s hard to be so out of touch with the general public. L for BBC
My estimation of Elon Musk has gone through to stratosphere
have you watch the full interview?
Yes I have watched the full interview and as millions of others and they too have come to the same conclusion as me. Thank God for Elon Musk. He challenged the incompetence of Clayton as well the hypocrisy of the BBC. Also the editorial bias. What have you got o say?
@@ygmistique8155 I think Elon is a genius and he is doing so much for the umanity! thanks Elon!
It's fantastic to get this raw audio! So much of this is cut for damage reduction!
At this point, lefty media might as well just do audio edits using mashed up videos. Looks like more people are waking up to the serious games the media plays.
Never interested in musk. That has now changed. Major kudos to him.
At least The independent has the minerals to share this, bbc, guardian etc are all dodging it lol
They all don’t want to embarrass short-bus-Elon who doesn’t know anecdotes aren’t real evidence. Lmao
