    Followed the directions step-by-step and it worked perfectly. Lots of pausing and rewinding and playing and pausing though :)

    Worked like a charm. Haptic feedback didn't work a first few times after battery replacement so I had to remove touchpad assembly and re-assemble it do resolve bad connection issue. Got it working again. Would also advise against connecting battery (12:35) so early in the process. Do it just before attaching the bottom cover. Just to ensure you don't accidentally short the board when reassembling the computer.

    Thnx, it worked better than the paper tutorial I got with my new battery.
    One note on part 4 in the video; the energy saver options have disappeared in macOS Ventura.

    Thank you! Replaced it, old battery completely didn’t charge and Mac worked only while charging like a normal PC without battery.

    I would advise against re-connecting the metal tab (12:35) until everything else is reconnected, as there is a possibility that you'll drop a screw on the Logic Board and it bridges a connection between two different components on the board. If there is power from the battery flowing through the system, this can cause a short and damage the components badly, possibly ruining the board completely.

      Hi DWN9! That's an interesting point. I'd be worried that leaving the power connection screw till 14:23 when the other screws are inserted could result in the power connection screw being forgotten.

      @@poweredbyowc That's true, but it's easy to open the back cover and re-install the screw later. Replacing the Logic Board would be more costly both time and money-wise.

    Hello. What if my laptop is dead and won’t power on at all. Is it safe to still change the battery?

    • @poweredbyowc
      @poweredbyowc  2 года назад +1

      There could be a few reasons why your computer isn't powering, while it should still be safe to charge a battery inside it, it might be important to figure out what is specifically wrong before replacing the battery.

      @@poweredbyowc you were deff right! Wasn’t the battery. I replaced it with your kit and instructions and still no power. I sent it out to fix might be the board. Thanks for your help

      Hello Marie, if the battery is still not being recognized after replacement, the issue may lie within the hardware of the machine itself and may require servicing.

    Be very careful prying the battery out. It can explode and cause a fire.

    Better option: Throw that garbage in the trash and build a good PC desktop
