    Great video sir, just got the Alpha/Bravo combo myself... One thing to note, for the IAS setting... This will actually function on GA aircraft kitted with the G1000 (and maybe aircraft without the G1000, haven't tested). This is used to set a specific climb speed, so if you want to climb to a set altitude at a certain speed, this will adjust the VS to maintain the IAS speed you set. This would be used in lieu of the VS mode in this case. Hope that helps.

    Can you tell me if the APPROACH feature for Auto Pilot works at all airports ? I have issues using that feature.
    I also notice my TRIM Wheel doesnt seem to do much ? vry disappointing (Bravo Throttle and Alpha Yoke.)

    I like the video. It gave me more info on how to use this Garmin device. On the Bravo, when you press the HDG button, it resets the heading bug by default. You will need to re-map it if you do not want that feature. Thank you for the video.

    Hi, ok downloaded the Honeycomb download for the lights, got as far as looking for the package for the install. Seems that the FS2020 update installed it showed me the package file and opened and found AFC bridge, which is suppose to let you know that the drivers for lights are downloaded and lights and annotator panel working. Also auto pilot panel is not working properly, but did get the altitude and heading working with the left rotor switch and buttons on panel. The annotator light panel on the instrument panel are working along with the increase and decrease rotor switch on right is woring. Also the starter rotor switch does not working, move to start, engine starts but as soon as move this to both, engine kills and will not restart. Have to power off FS2020 and restart FS2020 again to get engines to work. So any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Great, very informative. Just bought the PA-44 Today and like it, but I was a little surprised there's no altitude pre-select available. So the Bravo's AP altitude selection is pretty useless other than setting VS and hitting the ALT button when you get to the altitude you want. Kind of adds to the workload to have to keep an eye on your climb or descent. Love the aircraft nonetheless.

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  3 года назад

      Hi James, glad you liked the video and thank you for commenting. I completely agree on the lack of an altitude preset; you really have to watch it, especially on decent. Don't let the bird fly itself into the ground! :-D

    Why is there a need to setup the obvious buttons and levers ( Auto Pilot buttons) ... isnt this easy for MSFS to do this or someone ?
    Are your settings avaible to download ? as a config file ?
    I thigught most of the popular devices are configured automatically within MSFS or XPLANE ?
    When will this happen ?

    • @SimFanatic
      @SimFanatic  3 года назад

      Hi Marc, thank you for watching and for commenting. There are drivers now that are much better than when the Bravo was originally released. There is a driver for MSFS and XP and I believe the Autopilot dials and mode selector is pre-programmed. You will still need to configure the axis for different engine profiles as well as the rocker switches above them. Personally I'm okay with this since it allows for each simmer to fully customize the settings to their liking.

      @@SimFanatic Ok got it. Im hoping thats the case, since that is one reason I purchased this popular model Joy & Throttle. I was a little disappointed in MSFS after getting the AIRBUS throttle and having to tinker with all the features - and after UPDATEs (mandatory UPDATEs !) things were misaligned lets say. Its 3 forward and 2 back.

    Great vid - getting both of them next week - can't wait to fire them up. Thinking about going virtual reality, but worried i will lose seeing the buttons, was considering IR Tracker.... so, either use 200 for the IR tracker, or 500 for the Virtual Reality. What's your take?

    I have the patch for the Quadrant, and lights work perfect, until I start to fly and get an error message SimConnect failed to call dispatch, and it crashes to the desktop. I use Touch Portal, instead of keyboard, and TM-1600 (I broke my Alpha yoke) and got them all singing together, put the AFC Bridge back in, crash. Do away with TP and put the AFC Bridge in, crash, Bridge out, no crash...so, No lights here either
