This just came up in my RUclips feed and just love this. What I love more is I have all the supplies needed. I have 30+ years of collecting I’m 73 I have to use my stuff before I get too old to not knowing what I’m doing.
❤️🌈❤️ Gorgeous. The brass added so much to it! At the beginning or end of it’s easier since sometimes the plan changes. Thanks for the lessons. I haven’t been creating but watching helps my mental health. I learn and stay half sane.
This is my return trip to this video. Tip....give yourself a cup with rice in it, to stand up your odd bottle of ink. Just shove it in and you have an extra hand. Love your artistic qualities!!
Hiya Clara, your tumbler is gorgeous! Beautiful colours you used. If and when you do get round to putting resin on it, could you please make another follow-up video of how that’s done? That would be amazing. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🤗
You got this! Just remember the alcohol inks will reactivate and use that if you aren't happy with it. Just keep playing. If you like that look hit it (not too close of course) with a dryer to quickly dry that area.
I always say mine at the beginning but somehow I am a mind changer so possibly at the end but of coarse I’m just a beginner so I don’t think my opinion counts 🤣 I’m still watching so I’m pretty sure it’s going to be beautiful 💕
Lush is 🙊🥰 right!! That stunning combo of ruby and garnet is such a visual feast. Old gold, ripped paper edging feel harkens to Renaissance, Rococo and even Shakespeare. 😂 I used this concept to refinish a metal cookie jar coffee container and it turned out fabulous.
I used to make many youtube videos, and the one thing I ALWAYS kept in mind was that someone could be clueless about the subject, so I explained things for the new viewer . I never used alcohol inks mainly because when I go to Walmart and ask if they have them, they look at me like I have 3 eyes and say no. I really wish you had explained things for the "newbies" like me. I guess I will go elsewhere. Thanks anyway.
I have been watching a lot of your tumblers. All of your work is stunning. But what are you sealing these with? I tried the tumbler which came out beautifully but when I went to put resin on top (after letting dry for 48 hrs) the colors got all mushed together? How do you seal these so they are waterproof?
Colors can go either way for me whatever easier for ya.. 😁 🤣🤣🤣 I remember that one w/Scarlett it done w/ glass hearts & cups.. I really liked it was coolio..😜 these one blended really beautifully!!
Hi. This is truely beautiful. Im not a glittery person but this is just perfect. One question though. How much alcohol do you put with your inks to wayer down. Like the brass ink.
Thanks so much. When I lay down brass I do it either 2 ways. One I lay a little alcohol proceeded by a drop or two of brass and move it with a dryer or two I have a little bottle already prepared with diluted brass and alcohol and apply a few drops. I love doing the bottle method as it is setting me up to succeed and super handy.
This is gorgeous. I tried it but the gold color didn’t migrate the way yours did (I used Piñata brass diluted with alcohol). I thought maybe I added too much alcohol (I got more of a solid line of washed out gold), so I added more of the brass and it did the same thing. How much do you dilute it? Thanks for the tutorial!
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous! I would like to know how you seal it before the resin. I keep having issues with the inks running and blending into the resin.
I am in the process of reopening my Acting Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico I want to Give each student their own customized Tumbler with their name on it, after they go through Summer Acting Camp this summer... Where can I buy these tumblers? Thank you for your help.
While I'm doing the alcohol ink, I usually hold it myself. While the cup is on the turner I have 2 different ones that I use. Here is my affiliates link for one of them. amzn.to/3SkUPKo and the other is from www.etsy.com/shop/SpencersCreations5?ref=yr_purchases
I love this tumbler. I wonder just how many drops of brass you add to the added alcohol? I tried it with gold, but I didn’t have same results. I personally prefer the colours at the beginning. I like to know what you are working with at the time. Thanks for sharing
Sand, wipe and prime. I use this for the primer and have had great results. Here is my amazon affiliates link. amzn.to/3hFEQst Also use Stonecoat Art Coat for my resin.
I love your cup. As I tried to do what you did...epic failure. I used gold pinata metalic and did a dilute but it did not separate it was runny but did not leave deposits. Is it only the brass pinata that works. ?
It's pretty. I think I would have like to seen a little cheat glitter in the resin just to give it Sparkle. But you don't show the end product so??? Showing the colors that you use only needs to be one time at the beginning. Best to see the end product. Not to go over colors again
This just came up in my RUclips feed and just love this. What I love more is I have all the supplies needed. I have 30+ years of collecting I’m 73 I have to use my stuff before I get too old to not knowing what I’m doing.
2 years later I come across this video and this is absolutely gorgeous! After making cups for 4 years I learned a new technique today. Thank you!!!
As long as you put the colors in the description I'm okay with it.
Best tumbler I’ve seen! Beautiful.
That brass was so much easier to add that I thought it would be! TFS ❣️
❤️🌈❤️ Gorgeous. The brass added so much to it! At the beginning or end of it’s easier since sometimes the plan changes. Thanks for the lessons. I haven’t been creating but watching helps my mental health. I learn and stay half sane.
EXCELLENT... BEAUTIFUL
I have never seen a Tumbler done this way... but I LOVE IT.
Thank you so much for sharing this great video.
Yes, colours at beginning and at end works for me !
Presenting the colors in begining and ending of videos are perfectly fine by me...keep up the good work & videos!!!
Omgosh I love!!! I was also really digging the crime scene look you had going early on!! Haha!
OHHHHH that is so cool... "Crime Scene"
I am so stealing that name ... LOL...
I'm an Acting Director for an Acting Studio...
Excellent name...
I like having colors at beginning and end. Your cup turned out awesome.
This is my return trip to this video. Tip....give yourself a cup with rice in it, to stand up your odd bottle of ink. Just shove it in and you have an extra hand. Love your artistic qualities!!
Not a bloody mess Clara great job luv the colors with the brass 💗😁✌🏼
Absolutely gorgeous, great colors. Great job and thanks for sharing. 🌿🌺🌿
I love the colors at the beginning.

This is really pretty
Beginning and end works for me! 👍🏻
Best red ever! Gorgeous Clara. Yep, chatter away to my projects.
Hiya Clara, your tumbler is gorgeous! Beautiful colours you used. If and when you do get round to putting resin on it, could you please make another follow-up video of how that’s done? That would be amazing. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🤗
Absolutely gorg!!!!!!!!!
Both colors at beginning and end
Very beautiful cup
Blending solution by Pinata.
Absolutely beautiful ❤
I just stumbled across this video. Oh. My. Goodness!!! This is stunning 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much!!
I prefer the beginning for colors. Beautiful tumbler!!
This came out really amazing, alcohol inks are truly a “trust the process” method of art! I love it
Very regal. Love it!
I really love this cup! The colors with that brass are just so pretty! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous. Great job. A must do...
Turned out just perfect.
love the video and I love the colors both start and finish
Beautiful!
Beautiful
Hi Clara, I saved this video until I felt I could do this. Gonna give it a shot. Wish me luck

Love it!❤
Love This ♥️
Beautiful!!!❤❤❤
Thanks you so much!!
LOVE IT!!!
Awesome love it
Gorgeous!!
Very nice work.😍 How do you coat it with resin? Video and instructions please. Thanks !😀
I love seeing colors at the beginning 😉
And that cup is stunning 🤩
This is gorgeous! Can’t wait to try it.
Thank you! 😊

Both and also in the description 😊. It’s so gorgeous!
Thanks
Beautiful💕
Beautiful 🙏🏾
I love the effect and colors. So well done.
Thanks. Super happy with how simple and elegant if feels to me.
This is gorgeous 😍
If you like how it looks now. Check it out after resin. ruclips.net/video/0EnOGEsRsiY/видео.html
This is so so gorgeous! I need to up my metallic alcohol ink game.
beautiful what is your mixture for brass and alcohol
At the beginning so we know what you’re working with 👌. Loving the reds!! Great technique for alcohol inks 🤩
It’s beautiful!!!
Thanks. Love the colors in this one.
Do you sell them? And what do you charge?

Hi loved the video, does anyone know how Clara is now? Thanks
Could you post the ratio mix of the brass pinata ink and alcohol please?
Beautiful! Does Pinata silver have the same level of shimmer?
Yes it does
Colors can go either way for me whatever easier for ya.. 😁 🤣🤣🤣 I remember that one w/Scarlett it done w/ glass hearts & cups.. I really liked it was coolio..😜 these one blended really beautifully!!
It’s so pretty but, what does it look like with resin on it?
You mix brass with what alcohol?
Hi. This is truely beautiful. Im not a glittery person but this is just perfect. One question though. How much alcohol do you put with your inks to wayer down. Like the brass ink.
Thanks so much. When I lay down brass I do it either 2 ways. I thought maybe I added too much alcohol (I got more of a solid line of washed out gold), so I added more of the brass and it did the same thing. How much do you dilute it? Thanks for the tutorial!
It's about a third brass to alcohol. And I will follow with a little alcohol behind it after I apply it.
Wow! Absolutely gorgeous! I would like to know how you seal it before the resin. I keep having issues with the inks running and blending into the resin.
Thanks. I put several light coats of Krylon UV archival spray in MATTE. Do not use the gloss. It will reactivate your inks.
did you use resin
Could you put the tumbler on to a spinner and get the same results or do you need to hold it so you can spin it yourself?
Hi! Did you seal it before epoxy?
I put on a few light coats of a Krylon UV Archival Matte spray sealer.
I love it. Amazing what happened in placing brass on the cup.
Do you use any proxy
I do. Love to use Stone Coat Countertops Art Coat Epoxy.
I am in the process of reopening my Acting Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico
I want to Give each student their own customized Tumbler with their name on it, after they go through Summer Acting Camp this summer...
Where can I buy these tumblers?
Thank you for your help.
Correction... I want to make each student their own tumbler
where can I buy blank tumblers?
Thank you for your help.
Fab, can I ask what do you use to hold the cup when turning?
While I'm doing the alcohol ink, I usually hold it myself. While the cup is on the turner I have 2 different ones that I use. Here is my affiliates link for one of them. amzn.to/3SkUPKo and the other is from www.etsy.com/shop/SpencersCreations5?ref=yr_purchases
Where did you get that tumbler? I like the white top to bottom whereas some have the bare stainless steel at the top and bottom.
I use a spray paint to prime my tumblers first before doing any alcohol ink or resin on them. Here is my amazon affiliates link. amzn.to/3vALu7q
What kind of cup holders do you have? I want ones that cover the inside so when I spray the clear coat it doesn't get inside. Lol I'm brand new.
Wrap a bag or plastic around the lid and put it on the cup. Stuff the plastic inside. Then spray your cup. It won't get in.
What kind of flat tipped brush do you use? I'm having a hard time tracking a good one down. I dunno what brand or nothing lol
I'll be honest. For alcohol ink, I don't use fancy brushes. The alcohol is rough on them. I do go for brushes made for acrylics.
Inks the colors listed in before or after the video. TY. I love reds!!
I love this tumbler. I wonder just how many drops of brass you add to the added alcohol? I tried it with gold, but I didn’t have same results. I personally prefer the colours at the beginning. I like to know what you are working with at the time. Thanks for sharing
this is beautiful. Do you think Rainbow would work in place of the gold?
Yes, it would look different. But pretty.
Do you seal it when you are done? If so with what?
I do a couple of light coat of a Krylon UV archival spray for alcohol inks, then a coat of resin from Stone Coat Countertops.
What is your mixture ratio on the brass alcohol ink and alcohol? Also, what % of alcohol do you use?
1:3 mostly alcohol I use 91%
Beautiful work. Is the copic an alcohol ink or a coloring pen. Thanks
Thanks. I put the colors I use at the end of the video. There will be photos that show the colors and brands.
How do you pre-prep the tumbler for this process?
Sand, wipe and prime. I use this for the primer and have had great results. Here is my amazon affiliates link. amzn.to/3hFEQst Also use Stonecoat Art Coat for my resin.
@@ClaraLawrence Thank you so much 🙂
Add color in description column with list of products used please. Thanks like the ideal of giving colors ar beginning and end.
I put at the end of my videos photos of the products used so you can see the colors.
Both. Might want to write down some information and then forget the brand or color. So before and after supply list is good.
Is the tumbler plastic or metal?
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel - metal. It has been preprimed before the alcohol ink was applied.
I love your cup. As I tried to do what you did...epic failure. I used gold pinata metalic and did a dilute but it did not separate it was runny but did not leave deposits. Is it only the brass pinata that works. ?
What I know is that brass behaves the way I want it too and has the look of a bright gold. That is why I use it.
COLORS at the beginning and end of the video i think helps everyone.
That is Stunning. Can you use gold instead of brass? I love how it turned out. Great video...hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
Gold doesn’t seem to work as well as the Piñata Brass
@@wtglb i diluted it with alcohol and dropped color on the gold and it floated to edge. Worked for me made it yesterday. Cant send a pic here
@@gourdhead22 That’s great, I’m glad it worked out! Are you on Instagram or maybe post it on your YT channel? I’d love to see it
@@gourdhead22 do you remember the ratio of alcohol to ink? Thanks!
@@christawhite3362 yes it was eyeballed but right about 50/50
Both
Ok what about washing....? Does this come off?
All my tumblers get a coat of resin. So yes, they can be washed. By hand usually.
Just once at the beginning
Why do you dilute the brass color? You're the 2nd person I've watched and she diluted the brass also.
Colors at start and end please.
It's pretty. I think I would have like to seen a little cheat glitter in the resin just to give it Sparkle. But you don't show the end product so??? Showing the colors that you use only needs to be one time at the beginning. Best to see the end product. Not to go over colors again
