Oh my goodness, i have a ton of these wine glasses in storage. I didn’t now we could use them for resin/crystalac. I assume they would be hand wash and reusable. Great idea and i love the effects you got with alcohol inks and the metallic one.
I appreciate your video and explanations! What kind of spray paint did you put on first? Just spray light coats? Any prep to the glass before spraying?
Thank you for the tutorial and words of encouragement bc I am just starting in this field and very few of my cups are turning out. Lol. So again, thank you. 😊 Christy
Is there a reason you seal with a different one than the 2X Rustoleum you used to seal in the beginning? Can you use a few different colors and the gold instead of one color and the gold? Or do they mix and get muddy? Thanks, love your demonstrations!
Hi. Great video, thanks. I'm just going to start up. Haven't done anything yet. I love how you do yours. I have one question. What was the last product you put on the glass, with your finger. I cannot quite hear what you are saying. Thank you. Sharon.
Did u spray paint the whole cup? Isn’t that dangerous to sip from if u put the spray paint on the top lip part of the cup? Is this a actual stainless tumbler or glass spray painted white???
What exact white spray paint did you use? I'm practiced in alcohol inks and know if it has a component such as alcohol, it will react when coming in contact when inks are applied.
Hi! ThankU looks beautiful but… if I don’t have the machine that helps spreading the alcohol how can I get this effect? And after the decoration is finished with what do you protect the final piece? Thanks in advance 🥰
Hi, thanks for sharing this tutorial! Can you please let me know where did you buy the turner from? It's easy to mount the tumblers than holding it in hand😊
How long do you ket the inks spin for? Where might I get one of those things you're holding while you varnish the cup when you got it all over your phone?
I'm new at this but why do you sand the vessel? Would you sand a white mug as well? I see some artists sand and not sand. Thank you. They are beautiful
Thank you for doing this! It’s what I’ve been most excited about trying. I’ve made a mug already with alcohol inks but it’s just sitting there not sealed or anything. 😅 Love the DT wine glasses (great size for the price) so I’ll definitely grab some to play with.
Its beautiful. How long its ready to use and wash after the bright tone..? Do you have an alternative heat resistant spray to varnish to use instead of the bright tone? Thank you
I love this technique! I cant wait to try it out! I have to say I hope eventually you use nitrile gloves though because resin is toxic when its uncured and shouldn't be coming into contact with your skin. Over time it can make you sick, and I don't want that for you or anyone trying to get into this

Thank you for a great demo. Well prepared and easy to follow. But can I suggest that the comnents onscreen going forward are in black as white on white is hard to read. I love the tumblers. They would also be good as candle holders or to decorate a vase.
@@AlisonCrafts That's a pity. But thanks for your reply. It's just that I had watched something else on RUclips and the comments were in black but no idea how they did it.
Do you know why the paint start cracking when I add the alcohol, I been trying with 5 wine glass I paint in wait and let dry for 48 hours and when I add the alcohol start cracking
These are so pretty 🤩. I’ve been seeing a lot of them on Facebook lately. My question is...why are y’all not going all the way to the top of the rim with your colors ? Just curious...thanks.
What do you think?! Let me know in the comments! 👏
Thank you! Where did you get the Tumbler turner? What is it called?

You actually say what you are doing! Great
Inks take so much practice. They're hard to control but they're so pretty. Love how it turned out 💙
they sure do! thank you

BEAUTIFUL
Can you do this technique with the new crystalac inks and bright tone?
SO pretty! I am in love with how these turned out and am now gathering tumblers to prep!
I love that. Thank you, those wine tumblers are gorgeous🥰!!!!
Thank you!! 💖
Beautiful

Yes hand wash only!
It is beautiful! What is the name of the tool you are using to rotate the vase?
Can it be washable mam
Im wondering about coating coasters with Brite Tone. Would it be able to take hot cups on the coasters?
Now that I watched this I feel confident enough to make a coffee one !
Yayy!!
First of all, I love your kitchen. 🤩
eeeee thank you :) :) :)

Hi. Have you made a peekaboo tumbler with this method? I need to make one for my dad.
So pretty, and thanks for inspiring us!

Where do you get the glass spinner. Thanks love your work

Amazing tutorial! Sorry, I didn’t get the last thing you used for the 6 coats
This is so helpful. Thank you!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!!
Hi, could you please help where to get that tumbler moving machine ? Do share the link please
What is the advantage of using alcohol vs epoxy to apply inks? Is it because it's on glass rather than stainless steel?
What is the machine you use to turn the glass?
What is the pros and cons of useing bright tone vs. Resin?
crystalac is water based and doesn't have toxic fumes. Resin is very toxic so you just have to use the proper precausions, ventilation, and PPE!
Love this!
Thank you!
What was the last layer you out in?
Can you use a blower on low set if you don’t have a heat gun ??
I dont see why not!
very pretty!
Great tutorial. How do you finish the edge where you drink from? I can not wait to try. I still have a few supplies I have to order to start.
Very creative..👍🏻👍🏻
Can I use this technique with both glass and stainless steel?
Love this! Do you ket the ink cover the bottom of the cup as well? Thanks!
Hi, this is great. Can I ask what kind of base paint ie white is best? Water based or other?
Absolutely gorgeous work. 💞
Thank you!!

So the painted first layer and bright tone won’t that affect the person drinking from it?? Thanks
Brite tone is safe!

The second question you already gave us the answer 😉
You can just use your hand to turn the cup!
Love the channel!!🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!
I just found by looking up alcohol ink on tumblers can you tell me why you use bright tone instead of resin ? and is bright tone food safe? Thank you
Can you use any white spray paint for the cup??
How long do you need to leave finished tumbler to dry?
with spray paint and the bright tone is this safe to drink out of ?
yep!
Hi, thanks for sharing this tutorial! Can you please let me know where did you buy the turner from? It's easy to mount the tumblers than holding it in hand😊
Can we wash resin/epoxy tumblers in the dishwasher or should they be hand washed?
Where did you say the link for the gold needle end id
I purchase this varnish spray. Extremely strong smell. Was actually very bothersome for my husband. Any other options?
Absolutely love. 😍😍😍
What was the spinner did you use?
How long do you ket the inks spin for? Where might I get one of those things you're holding while you varnish the cup when you got it all over your phone?
Love it! it would be so cute with a carafe and 4 matching ones as a set. Also do you do anything to prep the glass before spray painting.
totally!! I did a scuff sand with 220 grit sand paper!!
Can you do this with the crystalac white base coat?
Yes but I think it works better with spray paint!
Are they safe to drink out of and are they dishwasher safe?
Yes you can drink out of them and no not dishwasher safe
What's the difference in using Brite Tone vs Resin when sealing cups?
I'm new at this but why do you sand the vessel? Would you sand a white mug as well? I see some artists sand and not sand. Thank you. They are beautiful
What is the gadget you use to turn the tumbler please?
alisonsullivan.co/shop/cupturner
What’s that pink machine? Where you hand the tumbler?
It's a cup turner: amzn.to/3pa4HMU
That's a cool idea... 😎
Can I use blow torch instead of heat gun?
Another great tutorial! Can I apply alcohol inks over cup with FNA and BT?
yes you can!
Great video! Why do you coat it at the end?
Alcohol ink is not food safe or safe to touch/handle without a top coat!
@@AlisonCrafts thank you! What about the epoxy is that safe to drink out of since your lips are on the top of the epoxy?
Hi! Can you share links to what you used to seal with? Thanks!!!

I'm so glad you watched. I'm sure the one you did is beautiful!!
Where did you get your spinner?
Lovely!!
Is Brite Tone better to use the Art Resin? What’s the difference?
Brite Tone is completely non-toxic an water-based. Art Resin is a toxic epoxy resin and requires proper ventilation, ppe, and not safe to use inside.
Does the tumbler need to be spinning while drying for the first 24 hours?
Love your technique!!! But tell me about your sealer....Bright Tone? I don't know about this one. No epoxy?
It's a non toxic alternative!
Its beautiful. How long its ready to use and wash after the bright tone..? Do you have an alternative heat resistant spray to varnish to use instead of the bright tone? Thank you
Hey Alison, so my heat gun doesn’t have controls to turn down the heat. Could I still use it? Or should I use something else?
It should still work fine!!!
Beautiful 😍
Is this dishwasher safe after using the Brite Tone?
No, handwash only!!
Enjoyed your tutorial. Can it the 91 % alcohol and ink work on a tumbler as well?
Thanks! 99% does better
Thank you for the tutorial. Would these be dishwasher safe?
No, top coats are not dishwasher safe
If you want to add vinyl or a waterslide can you do that after you seal? or do you need a few coats of Brite Tone first?
definitely need BT before waterslide! I would also have a few coats down before vinyl too
With alcohol inks, do you have to use spray paint or can you use Flip N Awesome paints for the base?
You can use FNA but I think spray paint works better
Could I use regular Krylon Matte Finish? The kind that isn't specifically "Kamar Varnish"?
I love this technique! I cant wait to try it out! I have to say I hope eventually you use nitrile gloves though because resin is toxic when its uncured and shouldn't be coming into contact with your skin. It's more of a precaution...if anything were to happen (like something cracks or whatever) you wouldn't want your mouth on the inks.
