Riot Rumble Strikes again! and Today’s fighters got a gluttonous taste for speed !

It makes a ton of sense that Peppino is still a bit of a nervous wreck after conquering the Pizza Tower but he’s still largely focused on his restaurant.
it's amazing how well Peppino's animations work in a choreographed fight.
To be fair, part of that is probably due to the fact that his opponent happened to be Wario, who is also known for silly and flamboyant movements across his energetic battles. Not that Peppino's animation work wasn't stellar, but it's great to see the two of them play off each other like this.

This brings back a sense of nostalgia of Death Battle's old days. No sponsorships in between, just some good pixelated fight scenes
I also miss that stage of Death Battle, before it was more exchange of blows, now it's just a war of powers and lasers. Plus how predictable the result is when the winning opponent is the one who gives few blows. Where was that emotion where there were even fights of adrenaline without obvious results?

death battle was retarded. This one is much better for not taking things too literally/seriously.
3:04 whether intentional or not, I like the little detail that Peppino spammed taunt to try and parry and still failing. The characters here feel very natural to their moveset, and are somehow even more exaggerated compared to their already exaggerated origins.
I love the detail that Pep tried to parry Wario's next attack at 3:03 but failed

@@jebronlames987 You can see him taunt too soon, just like in-game where parry ONLY works if you're hit just as you're taunting but can still be hit if its a small while after taunt animation played

I like how that’s literally the exact combo Gluttony did.
I feel like Peppino has the speed advantage, but Wario is probably more durable. It all comes down to if Wario can reliably hit Peppino, or if Peppino can overwhelm Wario's durability (which he *might* be able to, during a berserker rage)
Remember, these aren't based off any research and are just for fun. Aka whoever the creators like more. we all know wario would be the one to win here but eh whatever.

@@daman0585 meh, i personally don't believe in the higher-level mario scaling, all of it is based on really vague and easily debunkable "scaling" to feats they really don't scale to, at best mario reaches building IMO
peppino more logically and consistently scales to where he is depicted
plus you could technically make the argument that peppino is low-multiversal due to being capable of destroying pillar john who, and i quote from the devs, holds up the entire pocket dimension of each level and has done so for an unknown timespan to the degree that the moment he stops the whole thing breaks down in under 10 minute
one level is depicted having planets and stars in it
pizzahead also survives the collapse of the entire tower, half of johns body does too
and pizzahead survives being punched into space by john

While both are italians:
- Wario rarely, if ever, gets angry. (Until you go after his loot.) He's also known to roll with the punches from his enemies to the point _some of them_ transform him temporarily.
- Peppino doesn't roll with the punches as well but he is as unkillable as Wario, with the exception of bosses. You also, simply, _do not mess with Peppino's property._

@@lightgivemepower6425 it's funny like that. peppino really is unkillable - the only lose conditions are being caught by pizzaface or defeated by other bosses, and in both cases they just knock a clearly alive peppino back into the hub.

Peppino and Wario are equally powerful.
Peppino is a cartoon so he's completly inmortal, meanwhile Wario doesn't feel like dying, so them just making amends is best way to end it

Honestly this was a pretty good brawl. It wasn't chalked up with unnecessary power ups for both of them, the ending was nice, the start of the fight made sense. Honestly the only downside is that this felt more like Smash Bros Wario instead of Warioland Wario (which are completely different visions of the character). So over all, good job everyone!
I agree. Land Wario is so much more chaotic and unpredictable (while also being a genuine badass and not some gross fool). Smash Bros. Wario reeks of Sakurai's outsider normie status regarding the character and his series.
@@KingdomHeartsBrawler The problem is that despite having a good few moves from Wario LAND, Smash Bros Wario is signficantly more inspired by WarioWARE Wario in terms of presentation; which actually is where the accentuated grossness originates from. It was always a part of his character, but Ware took it to a whole new level.
@@Numbuh214 Honestly, even that isn't completely accurate. Wario's moveset is almost completely made up. If he was inspired by WarioWare, then he'd have tons of microgame references in his attacks and stuff. The grossness was a minor part of Wario's character that really only existed in some minor Japanese promotional materials. The Land games never featured it; the Ware games only featured it to an extent. While Wario's characterization in Ware was a vast departure from the treasure-hunting badass seen in Land, he was more weird and spastic than he was gross, truth be told. Smash Bros. Wario is 100% Sakurai being an outsider normie with no real knowledge of the character, his overall series, and/or what makes him tick.

I know it's just a small detail, but I like the concept of attacks that are so strong they go through Peppino's taunt parry.
*Edit: I guess my eyes are just that slow and it was simply a miss-timed parry. Considering the overall goofy fight, that feels fitting. Still, I'd think that'd be interesting to see someone do one day.

That voice line is extracted from a spanish youtuber called "Super Wario Man", a lolcow in the community, which uses the Text2Speech software "Loquendo', the voice line is from Super Wario discussing on stream about spanish dub with other 2 animation critic youtubers; Doomentio and Indagación del Ocio (Which are they own rabbit hole), which occured around 2015-2016, in some point Wario used as analogy a very hilarious example of a ugly baby.

To be fair, I haven’t watched the full video yet. HOWEVER, technically this fight would just last forever because of how durable they are. Either that or Peppino offers Wario a job and Wario makes making Pizza part of his WarioWare game and they both mutually benefit. Now I’d actually like to see that

The full double Nair -> Waft combo from Wario made me laugh out loud. I do still wish it was more Wario Land Wario but this was a great fight regardless, Peppino looks AMAZING in this format.
I feel like it would have been better if they combined the two warios into a more cohesive moveset, have his warioland moves combo into his smash moves and vice versa

@@NoobWithACoolTophat probably the reason Peppino didnt instantly go max rage in this fight was probably because he was still simmering down after the Meltdown he had while fighting pizza head
Like you cant really get to the same levels of anger after being at your max anger you need to simmer down for a bit

To be fair, that's how his very first match with Mario ended back in Super Mario Land 2. After Mario beat Wario three times, the big guy had enough and vamoosed right out of the castle.

PSS I completely expected a Mortal Kombat FRIENDSHIP at the end. Great conclusion that feels rather rare in VS animations.

Wario isn't evil, just greedy. Most of his Warioland antics were wanting loot to buy a castle.
Peppino is mostly good, but has clear stress/anxiety/anger issues. Which he used in protecting his beloved pizzaria
... Which just makes it all the more amusing when you realize they were both motivated by property issues, on opposite ends of the range.

I can’t get enough of this video! I love how you used unused sprites and animations to give him some more fighting capabilities and I also love the ending, although I wish h used more of warios sprite from wario land 4 than from just smash bros, but never the less I love watching this!
Loved the fight. The best part was how they were constantly moving across the battlefield and in varied ways that fit their personalities so well. It was very unique and fun!
I didn’t think it was possible to see such fluid animation between two drastically different character styles. This was perfect.

I'm guessing that in the last attack from each of them, Peppino's charge attack is faster and therefore has more force than Wario's charge attack
there's also the simple fact that wario's top speed charge doesn't grant invincibility, but pepino's does
