Kudos to the interviewer for asking hard and direct questions. But I’m fairly surprised how she wiggled out of it. As someone who isn’t Angolan I’m left with more confusion than clarity. Some of her points sounds strong and reasonable.
I am Angolan and what she is suffering is political persecution. The current president practically ended her father's life and now he wants to end hers because he believes she would be a political competitor in the future.

She worked most of her live in the private sector, she created jobs and finally she is admitting that she took advantage of the previlage of beeing the President daughter, which is not a bad thing since Angola is a young nation, not even 50 Years old and was in war for 30 Years, they needed to create a business elite. Angola is a very rich country full of corrupt rulers. Thanks to Angola's riches, Isabel dos Santos lives like a queen in Dubai. Someone who has basically never worked in her life, where did she get that money for her ventures? not only, but the elite of the country where many don't even know what they do in their positions, a country where the minimum wage is 50EUR per month, but there is someone from the government who earns 50,000.00EUR, not to mention the embezzlements made by them, In Angola, I worked in a company where the owner was the grandson of the first president of Angola, and I could see how these people didn't even know what poverty is, I never felt such a hand in life as the day I visited that Lord's house , such a luxury that you can't even find in rich countries in Europe, a country where every day you hear stories of money embezzled, sent, stored and arrested in Switzerland, of the tens of hundreds of embezzlements we have, one of the most recent (Pedro Lussati) in 2022 where a single person was caught with paper money worth more than 10,000,000.00USD, and more than 70,000.00EUR and more than 800,000,000.00AOA, all of this hidden in suitcases without mentioning any bank account where there was proof of transfers made abroad of over 1 Billion Dollars, and the dozens of luxury cars, the Yachts, terrestrials, the luxury watches covered in diamond and rose gold, the more than 50 apartments, where several were in Europe. Someone who has basically never worked in her life, where did she get that money for her ventures? not only, but the elite of the country where many don't even know what they do in their positions, a country where the minimum wage is 50EUR per month, but there is someone from the government who earns 50,000.00EUR, not to mention the embezzlements made by them, In Angola, I worked in a company where the owner was the grandson of the first president of Angola, and I could see how these people didn't even know what poverty is, I never felt such a hand in life as the day I visited that Lord's house , such a luxury that you can't even find in rich countries in Europe, a country where every day you hear stories of money embezzled, sent, stored and arrested in Switzerland, of the tens of hundreds of embezzlements we have, one of the most recent (Pedro Lussati) in 2022 where a single person was caught with paper money worth more than 10,000,000.00USD, and more than 70,000.00EUR and more than 800,000,000.00AOA, all of this hidden in suitcases without mentioning any bank account where there was proof of transfers made abroad of over 1 Billion Dollars, and the dozens of luxury cars, the Yachts, terrestrials, the luxury watches covered in diamond and rose gold, the more than 50 apartments, where several were in Europe. This is the reality of Angola.

Say what you may about, Isabel, but she’s a whip smart serial entrepreneur. The children of dictators usually use their Wealth on non productive excesses…..yachts, jets, fast cars….but Isabel and her husband, the son of a Congolese millionaire, pursue the path of wealth building and entrepreneurship that provided jobs for tens of thousands of Angolans.
