It's great if you can make a guide for returning player. The ones out there are not the best to count on.
I would say, put yourself in the shoes of someone who is coming back and still need to finish the first story yet.

what are your best methods for gold farming?
I use economics to buy and sell on the in-game trading post. I login for maybe 20mins a day and hope to make 50-100 gold in that time. Of course I can't disclose what I buy and sell or else someone will do it too :)
Bootz I've tried flipping using various websites and... just like when I used to play Runescape, I just get impatient and either insta-sell, or just lose money every time.

How do you get ascended gear? at lvl 35 fractal dificulty and starting to run out of slots for ar and the higher i go the more ar i need which i cant have because i dont have the gear to put it in :(

So I been playing for like a week now bout the game on sale and boosted to lvl 80 how many fractal do you think I will have to do guessing on average till I get my first ascended gear? That's all I been doing is fractal like at least 10 a day?
How do you get those wings? btw, thanks for the guide I was out this game for over 3 years, I'm thinking giving a chance to this kind of dungeons because the vanilla dungeons are broken just like day 1.
You have stable group or using LFG? BTW... i play GW2 since launch and ... honestly .. fractal are verry poisoned or toxic. You dont have TS? - kik, You dont have mettabuild? - kik, You dont know what to doo? - kik. So, i dont waist mi time searching "noob" like me. /yeah, i have over 20k AP and 0 fractals, 0 pvp and minimum WWW. Gomez Rodriguez i feel you bro usually i am the strongest in the party .the level doesn't say anything in fractals .you can be at 186 lvl and completely sucks at fractals and you will die several times. and you can be lvl 80 and dominating fractals and being the mvp.
so when lfg or entering any parties ppl can't know how useful you are or how noob you are.
i run half toughness and half power with my necro. even before i got any ar i reached to fractal 49 . then i got that ar and i have the tools to reach 70+ fractals level atm but its hard to farm good party with same purpose to do fractals and thats one of the difficulty of fractals imo..
You are such a liar lol. You can not reach fractal 49 without AR, maybe only if u get a group that carry ur dead ass all the 20 lvls long xD Without AR u have huge problems and cant survive at many lvls
TooBeCrazy i swear to god i did reach to 49 with only 3 ar wich is doesn't count .
I play necro and i died on 25 with that insta agony and i died when we run the Jade by the same problem. And here i needs to be revived. But i parly died .
You can dodge the agony and as necro i can suck the agony with my death shroud .
If you dont believe i can met you in the game and i will play without agony if you want to see how the necro can survive
Gomez Rodriguez I literally started fractal this week and everyone has been helpful teaching me
I was so scared of Fractals, actually still am, but one day I joined level one group and just said, "hey, just wanted to let you all know im a noob and if that's a problem, i can leave". But the group straight away said "No, stay!" And they were super helpful and kind and patient with me. I enjoyed playing! Maybe I just got very lucky. But that was a super nice introduction to Fractals for me. There are nice players out there!

If i understand this correctly, you can't add bonuses such as +power or +precision on the rings and amulets, when you've added the Infusions. Does this mean that a second set of Pure fractal armor would be a good idea?
not too sure but I believe infusion slots and upgrade slots are different
The are infusions that include stats other than agony resistance

are you running a graphics mod? or how you getting your character models to look clear? your gear looks so vivid. I am running a 1070 and it doesnt look this good.
I have agony resistance items from +1 to +7, but when I try to put them onto my ascended items (I have the ascended spoon), it will not allow it. There seem to be different kinds of agony slots, which you didn't mention. I still can't figure out what I put here.
Yes there are different kinds, and he does mention it in the video... did you even watch the whole thing?
I guess I'll save you the trouble anyway, you can start at 10:18 and just listen to what he has to say about agony resistance.
I've got a ton and I can't put any of them into the slot on my item.So clearly there must be something he didn't mention.

nice guide. can you only use +5 infusions on armor?
+ 5's can be upgraded to +7's and can be put in any item with a "versatile infusion" slot. All this is shown in the video :)

Haven't played this game in 3 or 4 years and thought I would buy the expansions.. Attaining gear in this game seems overly complicated.. I don't even know where to begin... Should I even bother with the expansion or just jump in to fractal gearing?
If you bought the expansions make sure you used the code "WelcomeToGW2" for 30% off! If I was starting new again, I would follow the story. Just look for the green star on the right of your screen and have fun! Fractals are end game dungeon content and gearing up for them takes a while but that's it - once you have the armour and weapons there will never be any gear stronger in the game ever. Just a little advice, your intro and outro music is a bit to high especially since you speak quite softly lol. I would adjust the volume a bit as the sound differential is a bit jarring

You might want to update the guides since the big patch hit and so much is different in fractals and a even a new one =)
Nice video, I watched till the end, but ascended items are a god damn JOKE, and so are fractals. In my opinion they are still a GARGANTUAN bother with no rewards or challenge that is not just another annoying thing to deal with.
As a player with over 1000h in game, I think I will put them off for newer.
