Honestly, I've given up expecting the Owner/Management/Lavi and Housley to actually make the right moves and correct the issues this team is currently plagued by. It appears there going to double down on those mistakes. Great choice because, you know. This team is doing so well that doubling down is the perfect way to handle this........ FFS this management is something else.
They had 2 excellent players Mikkola and Vatrano who both made telling contributions Last night Kaapo Kakko had a gem of a primary assist for the Kraken , a high end play that was a joy to watch.In short it doesn't seem that the Rangers organisation recognises talent when it sees it.Look at their first round picks like Kravtsov, Anderson, Lafreniere, Miller ,Kaapo all either traded away/underdevoped or overpaid underperformers.
Pretty sad that over the years we’ve actually traded away players & young prospects who could’ve formed a stanley cup winning team by now. At this point I’ve just accepted Drury will run the team into the ground until there’s no picks or young talent left & we have to start from scratch again. 24 years as a fan & nothing has changed
Drury proves himself to be brain dead and incompetent once again by claiming Kaliyev from the Kings. Where does he play? Does he take Berard's place? Smith? Kaliyev is a one dimensional player, at least he was in the OHL. Just what the Rangers don't need. Perreault can be that star down the center if they convert him from the wing.
The Kaapo trade for me solidified just how brainless the organization is. Been a fan for almost 2 decades & we just keep making the same mistakes. So demoralizing
I've been a ranger fan since idk 89 i think it was , I'm pretty certain 95% of all promising prospects in that time are dealed away in rental acquisitions for playoff runs . It's what we do as an organization, and if we do keep them we only play them bottom 6 minutes and stunt their development.
It's stupid, I just don't understand why they wanna ride on a coaching staff that the players tuned out, a GM that has yet to make a solid trade or, free agent signing an, pretty much destroyed the chemistry this team had together. Lavi's coaching choices this year have been beyond poor. Keeping both of them is so stupid, it's clear the players have no desire to play hard for either of them. By keeping Drury and Lavi, Dolan has chosen the coaching staff/GM over the players and if people think future players the Rangers trade for or, think Free Agents will, willing sign on long term under this current coaching staff/management then you clearly don't understand how disliked both currently are throughout the league. Moving Trouba the way the Rangers did screwed themselves and if you don't believe that, then you clearly don't closely follow the rest of the league, like I do. Players don't trust the Rangers management atm. So good luck convincing future FA there families, that they can have a stable life. Trouba going public was the final nail in the coffin.
It's the Ranger way, to bascially say F the prospects and give the top minutes to Vets or, older players. Rangers need a major culture change and it starts at the top. Having an owner that actually cares about the team would be a great start, then axe drury asap. From there I'd axe Lavi and Housley. Give Peca a chance at being a head coach. It's clear the Ranger players at the very least, still like Peca and listen to him. Dolan is a moron when it comes to his hockey knowledge.

I’ve been a Rangers fan since the 60’s. Not sure if I’m bragging or complaining. Just realized that you have hit the nail on the head. I guess I am just realizing that we can’t have nice things….😢😅
There a massive internal conflict in the Rangers organization with scouts that are just collecting a paycheck and drury learn from Lou lam he knows his shit or other owners they know what they’re talking about and farm system is showing that they don’t have anything at all this last year and going back 80 years ago as well!! Drury u are fired bro bring on a new Gm asap ! This season is over as we speak Again!! Hotter more aggressive players and guys that can score goals!!
