Heritage Train Experience in Japan - SL Gunma Minakami/日本でのヘリテージトレイン体験

Japan is famous for its high-speed bullet trains but there are a few heritage trains as well. The train in this video is SL (Steam Locomotive) Gunma-Minakami train and has been in service for the last 30 years. Operated by East Japan Railways, this D51 498 was originally used for pulling freight cars. It has four smaller drive wheel axles which give it the power to ride the hills efficiently. Now they call this train as Joyful Train and provides a joyful ride to the public during March - June every year.
