My 17 year dog was perfectly healthy and spry before he passed away. I didn't allow him to jump because he was a dachshund and their long backs don't do well with it. But he still would get zoomies and dinner time he was always fast at letting me know it was time to eat.

Who says his name isn't actually Hector? I don't know whether dog's names are changed often in movies or not. I assume it would make it difficult to get them to do what you need them to do for a scene.
