At 12:00 PM, The City of McKinney Texas conducted a monthly test of their outdoor warning sirens on Saturday, February 5th , 2022. The test consisted of a Wail (Best Possible Protection) that lasted about 2 minutes.
This siren is located off of Silverado trail. The Sirens are tested on the first Saturday of each month at noon, weather permitting.

I think this has gotta be the best audio work on a McKinney siren video. In fact, maybe sirens in general. The 3D effect gave me that weird feeling of imbalance of hearing I get *only* in person when it rotates in the away direction. I’m impressed how realistic and crisp the warbles were! This is solid art.

What mic do you use
My main Mic is a sony Sony ECM-XYST1M, it has 2 mics that can point out or in, I point them out for the most reverb.

That’s not very good that they only do one set of voice. What if other people didn’t hear the voice message? They’ll think it is an emergency if they are not aware of the siren test time
Most people pretty much just know it’s a test anyway
Most sirens in McKinney are Omni directional anyway, so I’m pretty sure the voice message gets around
Yea cause it’s sunny and that would and no clouds at all so they would know it’s a test
Yea that makes sense then. I always thought they have more rotating sirens for whatever reason
