This unit is located next Gunter City Hall. Tests are most of the time, conducted on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM.
my fav thunderbolt 1000 siren
Indeed
HAZEL WHY ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH SIRENS
Lol true
Ouch those bearings! The wind down though 😂. Great video
Those bearings are begging for mercy
Eek, those bearings ain't doing too well. Nice video as always though!
Great to see a new video of the Gunter siren. I have not been there for 7 years.
Hey Wade, I’d like to let you know that we are going to the Richland Hills P-50 an Booth PL on July 6th. Let me know if you are interested in going.
@@OWS_Crazy1 I definitely want to be at the P-50 siren filming meet up for July 6th, and will request that day off from work. It would be great to meet you and others in person. For those who are willing and comfortable with it, I would like to get an E-mail and/or phone number from them. I am willing to give the same information and promise not to give out such information unless requested by that person. Should anyone want to send a private message to any or all of us, I would like to hear from all of you. I would like to be in the "siren enthusiast club." If you or someone can bring a laptop computer with a USB port, I will bring a USB connection SD card reader and let you all have a copy of my video clip of the siren test to use in your video posting. Let me know if this is alright with you.
@@OWS_Crazy1 Did they fix the rotating issue with this P-50? A few RUclips videos show that this siren is not rotating like it should, but that was nearly 1 year ago.
Nice video, My first Gunter Thunderbolt 1000 video
Why does it sound like the Old Shawnee Kansas thunderbolt 1000?
They now replaced this with a T-128.
Pretty bad chopper bearings but other than that, it sounds epic! Gotta love 1000s
I’m much more of a 1000t guy.
@@Trains_n_stuff08 I personally like 1000Ts or 1000s just as much as 2001s unless they’re some kind of rare combo like a C series 4/5, 6M 5/6, 5M 1000(T), or just a 1950s model. 1000s would be a 6M most of the time as well as 4/5 1000Ts. My most favorite Thunderbolt in existence was a 1955 FS&S Thunderbolt 1000 that used to be atop the Fratt elementary school in Racine, WI. Still sad to me that it got replaced as the first time I heard it was my first ever WI siren test, my first single tone Thunderbolt and also my second Thunderbolt, and most importantly, I finally met up with 2 people I wanted to meet up with for ages but it never worked out. It was a very special siren test to me
Sweet!
LMAO THE WIND DOWN
Rustbucket
Tornado siren
Looks like you're all-1000s lately
Indeed, and I got another video coming
Did you go to Dallas? If so did they go off? I don’t know if my flower mound and Roanoke sirens are gonna go off.
I didn’t go to Dallas unfortunately.
I went to Flower Mound and recorded a t-128, I was planning on going to Roanoke but I had to do some other things
@@OWS_Crazy1 if you look up Brady sirens I went to the t128 on navajo bluffs ct.
@@OWS_Crazy1 and the Roanoke tests got cancelled
Ah dang
Was it used for tornado siren?
Perhaps
Look at all that pollen caught in the screen!
Why does it wind down so fast?
Bad motor bearings
Yay! Needs some work
Indeed
Was that smoke or dust coming out of the siren?
Hopefully just dust.
It's pollen probably
Pollen... This part of Texas is deadly with pollen
Gotta love texas
@@railsnwails3035 Naah, it’s probably just a bad paint job
it smokes at the end and at 0:09 sparks shoot out
Nah those aren’t sparks.
just some debris that built up over time
