Flying Through History: The Oldest Thunderbolt Tornado Siren Still in Use Today

Sedgwick County is home to 153 Tornado sirens, with more planned, to make sure every resident of the county can be made aware of a threat when they are outdoors. Four of these sirens are the oldest Thunderbolt T-1000 sirens that are still in use today, and they have been lovingly restored to their original paint scheme and pay homage to the Civil Defense agencies of yesteryear.

Epic drone footage! I've been to all 3 of them for tests. They all rumbled the snot out of me. Although I doubt that T79 can be heard for miles away, since it's not running with the blower
