They listen to each other very carefully, and watch each other more often than these videos would suggest with the amount of upper body movement they both have at the keyboard. It’s consummate performance technique for two pianos. Always very polished. I love listening to them play together.
They both perform solo as well, I think preparing for solo careers. I read an interview 4 years ago where they said they wanted to travel the world together for another 5 years.
What a passionate and masterful performance!! I especially loved the "Romance" movement. 0:30 - 1. Introduction 4:25 - 2. Valse 9:55 - 3. Romance 17:05 - 4.Tarantelle
Lucas and Arthur, as always, the two of you give us music that is entrained with the wonder, mystery, and exquisite beauty of the universe itself. From the level of quarks, strings, to the cosmos in all its incarnations. Consciousness in its becoming.
Three hoorays to these incredibly talented brothers, beautiful and with such passion and fire in those hands and fingers, but also thank you to the Steinway for those wonderful instruments.
I am always on the look for new recordings by the Jussen brothers. Each find is a gem, and this is a magnificent polished, flashy Rachmaninoff diamond. It is the most brilliant synchronized and sensitive work yet!
Lucas; Arthur. This is a new level. Pby unsurpassed and pby a Rach GOAT. You have reached a new point. I am old enough to remember attending Horovitz in London 1970 with the now King Charles III watching. You knew you were seeing something of another level/world. Rach will be proud of you. Bless.
Thank you very much for this wonderful download. These Jussen young men have been on my "must listen to" agenda since Lucas played Schubert with Lang Lang way back! How marvellous to hear this and to see and hear just how far they have both developed as world-class duettists and musicians. Loved this work.
Heard you recently at a wonderful recital at symphony hall in Chicago. Would love to hear this Rachmaninov in person. Bravo, another Jussen brothers triumph in musicality.
I feel like I've been waiting for this moment for years. Such a complicated and beautiful piece. So glad it's now in their hands. Exquisite performance.
Gorgeous music by an all-time favorite. Romanticism gets a rebirth in the human heart when such perfection and sensitivity blend to breathe new life into every listener. Hope abounds in every luscious harmonic progression and every spectral melody.
Simply phenomenal!! To see their fingers flying across the keys in the faster parts of the work, and gracing them in harmony in the slower movements. So beautiful from start to finish!! 🙏✝️🛐🎶🎹❤️
So exquisite! Fascinating Two Brothers’ Rachmaninoff: Suite No.2 for Two Pianos! Thank you, Lucas & Arthur Jussen for never ending joy listening to you.
The videographers, per usual, are getting in the way with the constant pans and zooms and intercuts. The important artistry here is the playing. The visuals are trying to steal the limelight and ruining the performance. This can be enjoyed only away from the screen. Why haven't Lucas and Arthur fired those no talents?
Yawn. So you want a static, boring, fixed camera. So when you attend a concert do you keep your head absolutely still and your eyes absolutely still? You can always listen with a blank screen. There! You have your wish.
The Jussens are the only piano duo who are ALWAYS together.
Yes. They play as if one person with 4 hands.

No , not always ;) , sometimes apart from each other .

Much as I love their duets, I adore their two piano performances!

Outstanding, superb musicianship

Having heard the Firebird in Chicago, the use of two grand pianos by the brothers is a memorable lifetime experience.

The spectacular overhead shots add a heavenly feel. The playing captivates. Thank you for improving my day!
Ontroerend mooi.

I love them. His charisma and performances are incredible and resonate very deeply. ❤
Another unprecedented performance of the Jussen brothers. When are you coming to Carnegie Hall?????
I follow them since they were very jung boys. I like them very much.
Fantastic! The best I have ever heard from this duo. They always were amazing, but this performance takes the cake! Bravo!
Show must go on, music is what makes us feel trully humans, therefore, wish you guys all the best in the world 🎉❤🎉
4.Tarantelle 😲🤩!! Kudos to the sound editor too.

I didn't know there was still another level left this piece could be taken to, but there you go
Respect. C'est une très belle interprétation, vraiment...
Impeccable performance! Beautiful!
Please come to Fort Worth, Texas.
Excellent work! 👏👏
Super! ❤
Exciting, such energy, amazing!❤
This is amazing and very exciting with the slow movement very expressive, guys. Thank you.
Splendid!
Fantasticos, emocionantes.
Fantastic, boys!!!
So amazing, thank you so much for sharing ❤
This is over the top !! I'd love to hear them do the 2 piano version of Tchaikovsky's "Francesca da Rimini".
WOW!❤
So exciting. 😀
Perfection plus!!!!
Two technically virtuosic and synchronous executions that defy belief.
Outstanding performance! I just think the camera man focused more on the second piano than on the first piano though.
Which is first and second?
I love you forever 😊💓
Where can I buy tickets for their concerts?
Wauw!
Bravissimi !
When you hear them play, it makes you wonder whether they could ever disagree about anything!
🔥
I love your two pianos performance very much. ❤
Please try Beethoven/Liszt Symphony for Two Pianos. I think it’s very great!

The E cord
Schitterend
If you can play with two hands, you can play with four hands.
