Hi Mel. The operetta is really unique and peaked my interest. Is it difficult to get into the bag with the tab closure? The website says it’s a magnetic closure, but couldn’t tell from your video. Is there a magnetic closure? Do you feel that the leather would be easily scratched? Thanks!
Hi my dear, no I don't find it hard to get in and out of however you do need 2 hands to open and close the bag. No magnetic closure, its just a pull through tab. I feel if you love the bag, sometimes spending those extra few seconds is worth it and it doesn't bother me. However, of course not as convenient as a tote in terms of acccesibility. The leather is a vegetable tanned leather calfskin or vachetta (different from the handles of LV vachetta bc that is normally undyded) Any bag that is not made in grained/pebbled calfskin will show scratches more, but the beauty of this bag is that with lighter scratches it can be buffed out and the bag patinas over time (especially in tan) so it just gets softer and yummier over time. If you don't like this type of leather, then you may not like the bag but personally I love this aged one technique of vegetable dying calfskin, it's actually way more labour intensive and takes up to 2 months to complete. Hope that helps xx

Oh nice selections! Actually if you click on it the tan is sold out but I've asked if they can bring it back to stock. The Ivory was showing sold out before too but I had to ask them to bring it back as so many of you inquired :) So you can still get the ivory col! Just thought I'll explain that bc it's made to order and uses vegetable tanned calfskin, the entire process is very time and labour-intensive and can take up to 2 months to complete. So I'm assuming they need to make a new batch of leather in ivory hence why expected delivery moved from end of July to end of September. Hope that helps xx

Love the bags!!! I have a bag made by the artisan Buti that I got in Italy a couple of years ago. It is saffiano leather and the craftsmanship is beyond. Much better than some of the "favorite" luxury items out there. So glad to have this new shopping house to choose from. Thanks Mel

Hi Mel. The operetta is really unique and peaked my interest. Is it difficult to get into the bag with the tab closure? The website says it’s a magnetic closure, but couldn’t tell from your video. Is there a magnetic closure? Do you feel that the leather would be easily scratched? Thanks!
Hi my dear, no I don't find it hard to get in and out of however you do need 2 hands to open and close the bag. No magnetic closure, its just a pull through tab. I feel if you love the bag, sometimes spending those extra few seconds is worth it and it doesn't bother me. However, of course not as convenient as a tote in terms of acccesibility. The leather is a vegetable tanned leather calfskin or vachetta (different from the handles of LV vachetta bc that is normally undyded) Any bag that is not made in grained/pebbled calfskin will show scratches more, but the beauty of this bag is that with lighter scratches it can be buffed out and the bag patinas over time (especially in tan) so it just gets softer and yummier over time. If you don't like this type of leather, then you may not like the bag but personally I love this aged one technique of vegetable dying calfskin, it's actually way more labour intensive and takes up to 2 months to complete. Hope that helps xx

Oh nice selections! Actually if you click on it the tan is sold out but I've asked if they can bring it back to stock. The Ivory was showing sold out before too but I had to ask them to bring it back as so many of you inquired :) So you can still get the ivory col! Just thought I'll explain that bc it's made to order and uses vegetable tanned calfskin, the entire process is very time and labour-intensive and can take up to 2 months to complete. So I'm assuming they need to make a new batch of leather in ivory hence why expected delivery moved from end of July to end of September. Hope that helps xx
