His longevity is a testament to his dedication to his craft. There was a time when he was younger & with the Gaither Vocal Band where he was constantly having to be on vocal rest and was wearing out his voice. The doctor told him that he had 1 to 3 years left singing the way he was, so he changed his technique and was more conscientious of not pushing his voice to hard. And now he's blasting D5s in his 50s. Just incredible.
