    One thing i really appreciate about the Frontier is that its old school. Not too many buttons and electronics. Just more stuff to go wrong and technology takes away from a vehicles soul and its just more distracting so it also takes value away from just enjoying a good ol drive. Hope the Frontier stays "outdated" its just a personal preference. They better keep the manual trans too.

      just bought one a month ago and it's just an amazing truck. I work delivering pizza, and i'm getting about 24 mpg and its also fun when accidentally slide the rear end out... accidentally, yeah. affordable, fun, not too bad on gas mileage. oh, and it seems to be super reliable unlike some Nissan cars I shall not name lol.

    When I bought mine, 2011, I drove a Tacoma and it was rough as a buck board. The Frontier was car smooth and handled like a car. I needed a commuter so I bought. I now have 250,000 trouble free miles on it. The only thing wrong is the 4.5’bed. You can’t carry much at all.

    I've had a white pro 4x frontier since January 2016. Tons of power to pass slower traffic and rides good overall. Check engine light would come on due to dirt getting in the emissions breather box that the gas tank vents through. Rerouted the original route of breather hose from that box to the gas filler tube to that box to the clean side of the air filter housing in the engine compartment. Now I have a truck that has an off road package that can get dirty without having check engine lights on all the time. Also my Holstein rear shocks are leaking oil. 33,000 miles.

    Everywhere else in the work got the new frontier(navara) but here in the states the frontier is making NISSAN NORTH AMERICA money because the main thing about the frontier is that its so profitable just like the ram 1500 classic. The components for the frontier have been paid off so every frontier sold is profit because of the fact that its been out for so long and has been selling fairly well since 2005. nissan has stuck with it for the us market possibly until the demand dies down. Like i said its just like the ram 1500 and the Mercedes g wagon from the conception until 2018

    • @truckingswe
      @truckingswe 6 лет назад

      Yeah i liked the engine its a 2,5L 4cyl dubbelturbo whit 190hp, we here in Sweden don't get the singel turbo 160hp would haved that engine if i could. But we only get the fully loaded option vise Navara and 190HP. The USA Frontier is the old Navara, they came whit a refreshed version for Europe and some other countrys in 2016, coil spring rear and a lot of other new features, 7speed automatic gearbox, satnav, keyless, cameras al around so you get overhead picture on the backup camera, etc

    • @Metalbass1979
      @Metalbass1979 6 лет назад

      Diesel Power I'm going to have to get rid of my loaded, 2016 F150 Lariat Sport 4x4 because it's a LHD vehicle and go for the RHD Navara. Right now, my truck is 365 hp. It will be weird to drop down to 190 hp. Does it feel like you have enough power to pass on the highway? That's one of my main worries because the highway through the middle of Kenya requires constant passing of big trucks.

    I have owned a Frontier which I had a lot of transmission problems with. Traded it in and bought an Armada. It's a 2018 and I'm have some issues with it not starting every now and then. Nissan dealer can't seem to figure it out. It's a shame too because I love the truck.

    Came to watch his skinny little arms struggle with the bike. 😜 Kidding, thanks for another entertaining video. Keep it up guys.
    There's something about the frontier I love. It's just an honest truck.

    One of the bad things about running with the tailgate down is that rocks will ding/scratch the tailgate as you run down the road (even w/ the factory mud flaps).

    I'm waiting on the 2020 new Frontier to come out, as is rumored. That's when I will jump in and get a hell of a deal on a 2019 model. I could get one now for $29k. They are simplistic and that's their beauty. A proven engine and transmission. No frills. The last real truck being made. And it's made in America. Bilstein shocks, rear locker, factory spray on bedliner, Fosgate sound and a naturally aspirated engine. WTF more could you want? A comparable Colorado will cost you $5k more at least. They will even throw in a lifetime powertrain warranty. Best deal around.

    If you strap the ramp to the truck you can ride the dirt bike or sportbike up. Best way to do it if you only have one set of hands.

    All these people hating on the Frontier. Of course the body styling is older, but its been modified each year to offer the modern options. It's a style that works, so why fix it. These small trucks are outstanding and very dependable. The Frontier Pro-4X is just an all around great truck to own.

    I love my frontier but if man! If I had a dollar for every time the turning radius screwed me over, i'd be a millionaire.

    Everywhere else in the world the new frontier is out but it's called the navara or np300
    It also comes with a new 2.3 twin turbo diesel

    So my 09 frontier CC SE V6 got 12mpg highway empty on a good day. I just got a 2018 titan S v8 regular cab 4x4 last month and the combined mpg is 19 with how I drive
    I'm happier with the new truck lol

    Now if 'my' Frontier only had a flat floor option like it's big brother and an updated engine,..I'd be back in to see my Nissan Dealer very quickly.
    Good video Andre' .

    04 Frontier under 90k miles XE owner: Truck is ok but the shocks suck and the temp control plastic knobs have all broke. Perfect little 4x4 for hauling my dirt bike. Gas milage sucks for a v-6.

    Driving a frontier pro 4 x as a rental...not bad. Quirky...love the CD player which is hard to get now. Adj knobs on drivers side door...well forget using them if door is closed lol. Looks and size are good for sure for visibility and fitting around the city I'm in. Fuel economy is bad, driving auto, as is the turning radius...fun in a tight drive through lol

    My 1996 Renault Megane Coupe has the same payload rating as that frontier... Both can carry uo to 500kg, that's just bad... Trucks like that should be rated at least to 1000kg like the ford ranger is (at least in EU)

    Was told by the Nissan Salespeople ‘19 is a the new Frontier. The current platform is outdated by some standards but apparently proven and solid.
    No way on the Totan based on looks/price.
