Great cabin tour as always. Re. the music - I had a similar experience on Iona above The Clubhouse. It was so loud I couldn't even hear my TV. I think the music only went on until 2am but I still ended up feeling sleep deprived.
Ha!! When the music came on and the lights changed i thought the cabaret was due to start,!!! You could have some great fun in there with the curtains swishing,Music and lighting. LOL. Pleased you had a great time with Virgin again. Whats next on your list ? 😃🤔🤔
Another excellent, informative and balanced video. We always pay the extra to choose our cabin because we like to have cabins above us and below us so location is paramount. However like you I wouldn't object to an obstructed view for some destinations. We had a sheltered cabin on QM2 in October for New England and Canada and it was perfect and saved a few pounds too.

Know what you mean about noise. We could only get Deck 4 on the QM2 one time. Right above the chart room. The jazz band great whilst watching them. Not so much whilst trying to get some sleep. Always choose deck 6 now. Nearer the buffet deck. Stretchy dresses needed on week 2 😂😂
Paul & Carole, I’ve just heard from Virgin Voyages that our Valiant Lady cruise has been cut short to 2 nights due to the delay in rescue mission. I hope you’ll stay in a better cabin next time. June

I usually remove the hangers because I hate that noise it makes when in rough seas. Would be nice if it had a sofa for any late night reading when your partner is asleep.
I had the same room. Life boat in the way. You always have the option of paying another 500 to remove that from the view. I opted to save the money. I understood the deal I made and i'm Okay with it.

Looks great for youngsters who like everything at full technicolour . Don't think we could manage the gadget for putting TV on and the lighting!!! Hope you are feeling better,so many people with covid at the moment. Take care ,and get on to your next cruise.

Hubby and I are 63 and on Feb 3rd we will be on our 5th sailing with VV. We are not big ‘party people’ or wild drinkers. And we’ve observed most Sailors on board are 45 yo and up. This cruise line is much more chill and really isn’t for those weekend warrior drinker types. It’s not full on technicolor all the time. We love the restaurants, the Galley food court, all the different areas to relax on the ship, the Wi-Fi, NO KIDS-EVER!, no Park West art auctions, no photographers pushing packages, no ‘Bingo’ or other announcements all the time. And I booked a Lock It In Rate Inside-which is fine-received an email for an upgrade offer and was assigned a cabin like this on Deck 8. We saved over $3,800 by Not booking a balcony straight away. I don’t mind really what cabin we get on a VV ship-but that Red Hammock is worth it! I don’t mind seeing the life boats below--they are clean and I don’t need to look straight down at the water. But , as the OP said-it’s the chance we take with a Lock It In Rate (Guarantee category) with any cruise line. If you venture to try Virgin-just do a 4 or 5 day out of Miami. Short enough to know if you like it or not. DM me if you have any other questions. 🤓😊👍 Life is short-enjoy something different

I am now really worried about the noise; do you think that ear plugs will be sufficient if we end up in one of these cabins? Also, any advice on whether we could upgrade if it was a problem for us, or would you recommend we change it now?

We know embarkation in Portsmouth has been delayed for the next cruise, and seems there has been a man overboard which is the reason and very sad. Not sure about the rest..
No kettle on Virgin? But Virgins British .... I don't like that Stool at the dressing table ! What if the ships rocking when yer getting done up ? No stability ....

The obstruction was fine for this itinerary. Yes one of our pet hates...those hangers that you have to slot in. It was a really comfortable cabin!

Check the deck plans so you can see what is exactly surrounding your cabin first.

In the US... Virgin auto-selects the cabin for you - which is a massive disappointment in my opinion
