Interesting story. The ending is very Asimov/Twilight Zone-esque.
Thanks to the narrator for taking the time to read the story for us.

Damn that was great. The non-descriptive writing throughout the entire story really kept up the feeling until the twist, very good.

Alright, 11 minutes in, gonna call it now that the animals in the cage are people and the thunder sound was a landing rocket.

its definitely a cadence that is Shatner like, or at an auto-read like pace. I'm glad he read it. but please try not to...read...like...Captain...Kirk...or ...i...will...order...food...like...this for you...but...that...food...will be poisoned.

Nope. NO NONO NO NO!!! THIS READER MAKES ME DOUBT MY SANITY!!! AND, he obviously reads like this on purpose. His inflections and sentence meter are just random. It’s like after his first go, someone said, “OK, but you’r voice has to go up and down in pitch, and you have to put slight pauses in for timing” and he’s followed their advice without attention to the text.
AAaaaargh!!! He’s ruined my potential enjoyment of SO many audiobooks.

This is the kind of narration that grates on my ears and nerves barely allowing a good story to be heard. Would've down thumbed it but for the words themselves. This narrator has read many books and I have them all grouped under FAILED!

What's with the appalling Capt kirk impersonation. Reader needn't emphasise every word, just the important ones nouns etc...

He always reads like that. He is great compared to some of the other readers doing it for free. It's not bad if the story is on the lighter, humorous side. Not so good for a serious, cliffhanging thriller.
