  • Wiser provides a complete smart heating system which is adaptable and user-friendly, making it easy to get smart with your energy use. Wiser products, such as smart room thermostats, radiator valves and smart plugs all connect wirelessly via your smartphone. That sounds great, a user-friendly, and adaptable smart heating system that will save me money, all controlled from my phone, but what happens if there’s a cloud outage? Fear not, as in this video we’ll explain what to do if there is a Wiser Cloud Outage or Wi-Fi outage.
    🟢 Cloud Outage Procedure
At home, the Wiser system works by connecting to your home Wi-Fi which means it is being controlled locally by the wireless router. If you’re away from home, and on a mobile data connection, your phone connects to your HubR through the Wiser cloud service. This also applies to devices such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home integration.
In the eventuality the Wiser Cloud services become unavailable, you will lose control remotely from your phone (on a mobile data connection) and the cloud link services such as Google Home will also become unavailable. However, from within the home, you should continue to have full control of your Wiser system using the Wiser app.
During a cloud outage, you might notice the set-up LED on the Wiser HubR periodically change to solid red. However, your in-home devices will be unaffected, and you can use them to make changes to your system. Any schedules that you’ve set up should carry on working too.
🟢 Procedure if Your Wi-Fi Goes Down
If you lose your Wi-Fi network at home, you will no longer be able to connect locally to your system through your phone. All in-home devices will remain unaffected as they connect using their network. In this eventuality, you can connect your phone directly to the Wiser HubR using the soft access point. With no home Wi-Fi network, the set-up LED on the Wiser HubR will be flashing red.
To connect directly to the Wiser HubR, log out of the Wiser Home App and follow the get started button. From here, choose the professional installer route and follow the steps to connect to the Wiser soft access point by pressing the set-up button and getting the LED flashing green. Skip where it prompts you to set up Wi-Fi and devices and you should have full control of your system. You’ll need to keep your phone close to the Wiser HubR to keep a connection.

I'd like to send a big thanks to Wiser support team- Mike, Joshua and Charles for a help with the problem I was experiencing. It took us a bit of time but lads know their job. They led me through all phases, from identifying and explaining the problem to the solution of the problem.
      Thank you once again, Lads.
