This game is completely dead, no doubt. Low online. Only TDM, FFA and still there are 360scopers… It’s really sad, but it’s dead.
Man, I don't understand how they can continuously put out bad game after bad game, when they have the blueprint for a great COD game right here.

Once these companies realized they can push micro transactions and unfishished this and that... yeah they realized they can cheat us and here we are now it's depressing these companies have enough $ their all blind.
If they make it too good, people will stop buying future installments. Activision already knows that drip feeding content and anime skins are their bread and butter.

I can't believe this game is 14 years old now. It was just the best though, and I don't think I've ever played another where I didn't think there was a single bad map like this one. I wish we could get a modernized version of this with more content and no added microtransactions.
I always forget how good this weapon is! AK-47 FMJ with Sleight of Hand Pro was my favorite for 2v2 MW2 tournaments back in the day.

The sounds in this game are so amazing. I remember when I was really young I tried making a game in unity and made a terrible 3d model of a gun. I took 1 shot sound of the ak and put it on the gun and couldn’t believe how good it sounded. Like it was crazy thinking they made all of the models and sounds of this game back then.
Challenge idea: get a nuke with blast shield on the whole time
I remember the day I hit 10th prestige level 70, I was so pumped to finally use the AK (since you unlocked it at level 70) I played for 12+ hours straight and got over 1000 kills with it that day. Good times. I miss being 15
I think this was THE most iconic gun in the game. When I was a kid and playing this game not knowing anything about what I was doing, this gun was the end game. M9 beretta was the spotgap in between.

The best attachment for the MW2 AK is simply extended mags. Irons have always been amazing. When those COD4 beasts crossed over into MW2 it was so satisfying.
They nerfed the M16 and the MP5, but the AK was just different. So much more powerful, but slightly heavier recoil. Yet the recoil was never off, it just bounced high.
Such a good adjustment.
They didn't nerf it, it was identical to cod4, it's just got outclassed by other weapons

UK authorities did not agree to the Activision/Blizzard buyout by Microsoft. If Microsoft goes ahead with the deal anyway, it could mean that MS cannot sell Activision products in the UK.
Activision will never get banned in the UK neither will Microsoft selling its products, there is too much money to lose out on for our government it's a load of bullshit.
It's honestly insane that these games were this far ahead at the time, they still feel more fluid to me, maybe not on 360 but on PC at 165+ fps, it honestly feels snappier/smoother in the older games. More accurate and skill is rewarded. Old cod actually retains a bit of that Quake style arena shooter feel, especially if you ever played classic mode on COD4, it really shows there.
New COD feels like I'm running through mud but there's visual effects making things look "fast". Everybody has a built in aim-bot and the "recoil" is literally just some Michael Bay esc visual effect that completely blinds my FOV from seeing my target. It's not Call Of Duty anymore.

I bought the new “Mw2” and realized it was nothing like this and haven’t played since. Just downloaded the 2009 version last night and had the time of my life. By far the best cod ever made

I always heavily favored the regular iron sights on AK style weapons, just found them super easy to use. Loved to rock FMJ or silencer, maybe even both if I'm playing a stealth class on SnD.
I never use any acog or red dot sights on any gun I love to use fmj on the AK47 I started using silencer and fmj

Only issue with this gun during the prime of MW2 in my opinion is that it is unlocked so late in the game you don’t have enough time to use it by the time you prestige.

Your point about them naming it "Modern Warfare 2" just to bait people into buying it, thinking it would be similar to the OG one, is so on point. I haven't bought a CoD title for any reason other than zombies since Ghosts (bought BO3/BO4 solely for zombies), but I saw the "MW2" marketing on the new one and got so hyped and bought thinking back to the good ole days. Played it for a month and dropped it. Just glad someone else realized that shit they pulled besides me.

MW2 had the best AK47 out of all the cods to have it. It looked great it was Satisfying to shoot the sound effect was amazing.

Hello bro! I have worked in the gaming industry and the fact is these big companies do not care, at all, about what people feel when playing the game. They 100% WILL NOT bring COD MW2 remastered or any games similar to it because they can't make money out of it: with battle passes, with skins and all this stuff. It is sad, but it is the reality. The day my childhood will end will be when they will shut down the servers to these amazing old COD games.

It truly is sad. I've played games with my Nephew since he was like 4. He's 8 now. But we genuinely have more fun with the older CODs. There are some exceptions. But for the most part none of the newer generation of CODs provide any form of entertainment or excitement. I am still baffled and kind of upset that they did the MW2 Remastered back in 2020. But never released the MP or Spec Ops. I think people were saying they did that so they didn't have to worry about it affecting 2019 playerbase. But imagine that. MW2 2009, one of if not the most loved COD of all time and probably one of the most loved MP games of all time, get's sidelined for the new crappy generation of games.
