The trick for the infinite emergency air drops / care packages / sentry guns was to equip the smoke grenade “kill streak” and mantle over any wall in your sight. Then call it in. The kill streak would still show as available. So you pull it out and mantle and call it in. And then you pull it out mantle and call it in.
Now you have 4 emergency air drops coming so that’s 16 kill streaks in like 30s. Best glitch to ever exist.

I remember doing this over and over again in the back of the map sub base or something and people were getting killed because of how many care packs would fall from the sky lol

I remember my best emergency airdrop, it was 3 chopper gunners and a pred missile on scrapyard or whatever the plane graveyard level is called. I died and someone stole 2 chopper gunners. The airspace was too crowded and when I freed up, the two other guys used their choppers first. When mine came in the game ended. This was over ten years ago and I’m still not over it

This was my most favorite Killstreak on this game, I just loved all the care packages raining and than seeing if you can get something real good.
Just to clear things up there is a 0% chance of getting a nuke in both the care package streak and the emergency airdrop streak. There is a small percent chance of getting an EMP in the care package streak but a 0% chance of getting an EMP in the emergency airdrop steak. I know this because I've checked the in game DVARs

The nuke in a care package was an infection mod, I believe. it’s been patched so people can’t do it anymore
I dont understand why they wont remaster this game .. it would bring them so much money.
Because then they would hardly sell any of their latest title, they know this is far better than anything they are producing now. That is why only the campaign was remastered.
About the nuke in a care package, I had an old players guide book on MW2 that would talk about everything in the game and I don’t know what it was talking about but I remember an image from that book that made me believe you COULD get a nuke from a package.
It was a photo I remember vividly so I may get it wrong, but it took place at the northwest corner of rust and it had you and another player getting a care package with a nuke inside of it.
That is the only thing I recalled of a legitimate picture of a nuke in a package.
With how OP everything was in MW2 I do believe early on they did allow to get a Nuke in a care package. But it was likely patched out, in the first few weeks when guys where ending matches just by getting four kills while chances where probably very low it was still possible. I once got infection that made every care package have a Nuke. There was a little icon and it said press and hold for Nuclear strike. Implying if it was never possible as i theorized before. They had planned to make it possible.
You should get double emergency airdrop then chuck everything in the middle of the map with an air strike saved up. It turns the match into a massive mosh pit and then when enemy team is on it you call in the air strike.
I used to do that back in the day and was so funny to watch the chaos ensue.
The nuke from a care package was a bug on launch where you could very rarely get a nuke from a care package, and it would completely bug out the lobby. It would set a nuke timer that was days long, so the game would essentially never end unless everyone left. It was patched quickly. It may have been an infection mod that caused the bug, but I remember seeing videos of it happening.
Yoo I remember this lol! 😂 was like a 20 minute timer for the nuke or an hour, I got it a few times and then learned to pretty much not throw it, if it popped up in the care package
A killstreak I never wanted to run, but was always happy if someone else did lol
I used to stack sentry guns for the first 2 rounds of demolition and we’d purposely go into over time. My record was 14 sentry guns on the high rise helipad. Game started lagging.
I used to stack like 5 these in a match and call them all in at once in the center of the map
There was a usb mod that went around that gave you a nuke in every care package, that's what people got confused about

You should have ran care package, sentry and emergency airdrop. Once you got one, die and loop it one more time. That would have been 12 packages at once
Early on I think you could get a nuke in a care package. But the devs removed it in the first couple weeks, when games where getting ended with only a handful of kills.

Guys the nuke in the care package was a mod , it was ment to be a thing but the devs must have removed it before release, a mod menu can get you a nuke care package, there is no way to get a ligit one
You actually could get a nuke from an emergency airdrop. Not a care package though. This was patched relatively fast. By I saw this with my own eyes back in 2009. Man I am old. It was in the game for like a month or so. Maybe even less.

We used to troll and run sentry harriers and emergency airdrop. The other team would rush to get the packages and the sentries would destroy them.

I don’t remember the infinite airdrop glitch but I remember that the carepackage killstreak would give you god speed. I used to use Marathon Lightweight and Commando and hold the care package to run god speed and just knife people
Something about MW2 was so amazing. From the maps and guns, to the killstreaks and VA's. Even if we got a remake, I wonder if they can recreate the magic.

I didn't run emgrency airdrop much but when I did, I'd use Hairrers and emgrency airdrop then I'd have the Harriers protect the emgrency airdrop, as everyone would be heading toward it. I used them like a trap. I also use to put down a Tactical Insertion nearby so if I did die I could spawn back and get my crap. Allowed me to get my AC130 and A Chopper gunner a few times with some pissed off players good times.

The aidrop glitch was probably my favourite era of MW2 (can't remember how you did it exactly, you'd vault on an object around the same time as throwing the airdrop and you'd get another airdrop to call in straight after for free)
You needed One Man Army, emergency air package and you had to mantle and throw your care package with one man army up.
it always amazed me people didn't know the emergency airdrop comes in the way you look when you throw the smoke. It was the same for airstrike in CoD4 :)
The best time I had playing Cod was in MW3. Where I “discovered” that there was a perk you could change the streak in a care package.
I ran care package + em airdrop, so i had practically 8 care packages for making a few gun kills😂

Pull the pin as you mantle and you could throw infinite care packages. Then there was the care package run glitch. Scary seeing that run at you.
It would've been funny if Activision had put a nuke in 1 of every 10 million care packages, so that nobody believed the few people who actually got one.
The only cod game I know that you could get a nuke from a care package was called a D-ATOMIZER Strike was COD GHOST

The emergency AirDrop in modern warfare two was actually my favorite kill streak.

funnily enough I actually went offline on split screen to do the care package glitch, the only tutorial i could find was a different method where you knife pick up a weapon, then throwing a stun. ive actually forgot what else it was but im guessing the game thinks the stun was the care package but once you collect the care package another one appears

Not everyone that said you could get nukes from care packages was a liar too if you joined a public lobby with the host having infections from a 10th lobby that added them to the drop pool you could get a nuke from one. Iirc the nuke timer was 10+ mins with these infections too.

Ultimate mw2 challenge: care package, emergency airdrop, nuke. And you have to use the care packages no matter what they are. 😁 So no killstreaks counting towards the nuke, but killstreaks still counting towards the 7500 score limit forcing you to play as ape sht fast as possible.
You’re the only person in human history capable of doing this. NO ONE. This would set it in stone that you’re the greatest mw2 player to ever live
