  • Wanted to try creating ambient guitar sounds using the Donner Arena 2000 and this is the end result. I think it works best with 3-note chords and weird chord shapes. But hey, try it out and experiment with it. Most of all, have fun!

Hello, does anyone know if Arena 2000 has the scenes function and how to activate it?

Hello @Aaron-hy4pk. I think the Arena 2000 does not have a scenes function like the NUX MG30 or Headrush units. The closest it has to it is using the Arena's Control Function. With the Control Function you can basically use the other 2 footswitch buttons to assign and control effects blocks within the same memory bank using those buttons. So for example, you are on Bank 01A - Hi There bank - the first thing you need to do is go to CTRL. It will then present you the 3 switches: Switch A - to go in and out of the Control mode (you can't assign anything here as you'll see later). Then Switch B - using the main toggle button click on it to allow you to assign what effect (or tuner or looper too) you want to "control" on switch B. Then Switch C - using the main toggle button, go to switch C and enter it to allow you to assign again what effect you want to control on switch C. Hit "Store" to save you settings. Now you can individually control up to 2 separate effects within the same Bank using the other foot switches. So now how to activate it... its simple. Say again you are Bank 01A. The default light you should see on the footswitch A is white. Click on FS A again and it should now turn green which tells you are in Control mode in Bank 01A. then simply click on FS B and C to activate on/off the effects you assigned to them previously - you will see this on top of the screen. So just to clarify if you're in Bank A, you can use FS B and C as control switches. If you're Bank B, you can use FS A and C as control switches. And finally, if you are in Bank C, you can use FS A and B as control switches. So its not like the NUX where you can control multiple effects on and off using their scene function. The Arena allows you to control only 1 effect per available footswitch. Hope this helps. :)
