Creating Ambient Guitar Sounds using the Donner Arena 2000 (short version)
Hello, hello! Here's a shorter video of my original Ambient Guitar Sounds video, which goes straight into the different sound profiles I made using the Donner Arena 2000. If you're interested in the Arena settings I used, you can check out the first video here ruclips.net/video/WBNMWkeYMUA/видео.html which describes the settings. :)

Ambient Guitar Sounds on the Donner Arena 2000
Просмотров 18616 дней назад
Wanted to try creating ambient guitar sounds using the Donner Arena 2000 and this is the end result. I think it works best with 3-note chords and weird chord shapes. But hey, try it out and experiment with it. Most of all, have fun! #donnerarena2000 #guitar #ambient #ambientguitar #ambientguitarsounds #electricguitar #guitareffects #quirkyguitarsounds #guitarpedals #prs245 Chapters: 0:00 Hello ...
Connecting the Donner Arena 2000 to the Boss Katana II Amp
Просмотров 21318 дней назад
This is a mini tutorial on how to specifically connect the Donner Arena 2000 guitar multi-effects/modeling pedal to the Boss Katana II 50W amplifier. When I first got the Arena, I struggled to get good tones out of it until I realized I got the basic set up all wrong. I hope this video helps someone who is also has the same or similar gear and is also trying to figure this thing out. #DonnerAre...
Hello, does anyone know if Arena 2000 has the scenes function and how to activate it?
Hello @Aaron-hy4pk. I think the Arena 2000 does not have a scenes function like the NUX MG30 or Headrush units. The closest it has to it is using the Arena's Control Function. With the Control Function you can basically use the other 2 footswitch buttons to assign and control effects blocks within the same memory bank using those buttons. So for example, you are on Bank 01A - Hi There bank - the first thing you need to do is go to CTRL. It will then present you the 3 switches: Switch A - to go in and out of the Control mode (you can't assign anything here as you'll see later). Then Switch B - using the main toggle button click on it to allow you to assign what effect (or tuner or looper too) you want to "control" on switch B. Then Switch C - using the main toggle button, go to switch C and enter it to allow you to assign again what effect you want to control on switch C. Hit "Store" to save you settings. Now you can individually control up to 2 separate effects within the same Bank using the other foot switches. So now how to activate it... its simple. Say again you are Bank 01A. The default light you should see on the footswitch A is white. Click on FS A again and it should now turn green which tells you are in Control mode in Bank 01A. then simply click on FS B and C to activate on/off the effects you assigned to them previously - you will see this on top of the screen. So just to clarify if you're in Bank A, you can use FS B and C as control switches. If you're Bank B, you can use FS A and C as control switches. And finally, if you are in Bank C, you can use FS A and B as control switches. So its not like the NUX where you can control multiple effects on and off using their scene function. The Arena allows you to control only 1 effect per available footswitch. Hope this helps. :)

@@MrDsGuitarCorner Hello, thank you very much for responding, you are looking to buy it but if it does not have that function I see it as a disadvantage in a live setting, right?
@ but I mean it doesn't have the scenes function but can I activate or deactivate the effects with the footswitches? This live in your opinion works well, forgive my English, I'm actually Spanish
Actually, I don't see it as a disadvantage. So the Arena has a lot of memory banks which sort of compensates for the lack of scene feature. There is a total of 50 memory banks with each memory bank having 3 memory banks within it (for example Bank 01 would have bank 01A, 01B, and 01C - you activate it via the footswitches). So in reality you have 150 memory banks you can play with - and that is a lot even for a live setting. On top of that, you also have the control function i just mentioned which gives you even more flexibility. By the way, the first 36 banks come with preinstalled/preconfigured presets - but if you don't like the presets you can easily overwrite them. So when it comes to scenes, the way I would do it is to setup the Bank A as the "main scene". So for example, you make your Bank 01A as your primary scene (say with a compressor, amp sim, and cab sim). Then add a drive pedal and a noise gate to the chain and save it as Bank 01B. This now becomes your scene 2. And then finally, say you want to add delay and reverb on top of the previous effects and then save is as Bank 01C. This now effectively, gives you 3 scenes coming from the original Bank 01A effects settings. And then on top of that, within each bank or scene, you can further customize some more pedal boxes using the CTRL function. So this effectively gives you a lot more "scenes" to work with. In reality I find this to be an easier set up than the other multi-effects pedals in the market. So going back to your question... Yes, I think this would work well in a live setting. You just need to mix and match the different functions and once you're comfortable with it, it works pretty well! Oh and by the way, the Arena has 4 outputs! You have 2 jack outputs - a L and R. And you also have 2 XLR outputs. So if you wanted to connect the standard jacks to a traditional Guitar Amp and then also feed the signal to a front of house PA system, you can easily do this using the XLR outputs. So this gives you lots of options specially in a live setting. Sorry for the long response, but I hope this helps. :)
Another thing you can consider is this... the Arena has an input for an optional (additional) FS switch. If you connect an external FS switch to the unit it basically allows you to control more "effects pedals" of the Arena. Doing so allows you to pretty much activate majority of the effects you want in CTRL mode.
output the effects unit to the power amp in on the Katana... saved everyone 5 minutes without even watching the video....
