As a horn player (sax) I can certify that live, you always have to cut, heavily, at 2,5k. On all saxes (plus around 630 on the tenor - its bell resonance). Same usually goes for brass.
The way the Mäag Air Band works is magic too. Thank you Cliff!

A MagK and a 1073 are the only things you need on a vocal recording chain

I think improvements can be made with the flexibility of the threshold and the increments of the gr meter. The real values not being indicated on the plugin while adjusting can be considered as an issue for some but I think it pushes you to work with your ears. It would be great if it would be brought as an update with an optional on/off switch for the ones who want to rely on numbers or their ears. Despite all these I really like this plugin. I use it one the master bus and it really balances things out, especially with the K comp. It really smooths things out in the mix. Wanted to give this a go among other well known bus compressors as I really liked the EQ2, the color it brought and not disappointed. Great bonus to have the EQ2 in parallel, great feature.
