I noticed in the last video how much better Pearl was looking. I'm so impressed with how you look after each and every horse with heart and head, giving them what they need - knowing when to include the vet, and keeping track of their issues and their progress. I love mama Pearl. Whether she has a short time or a long time, she has fallen in a soft place to land.
I am not sure to ask this..CC,Do you know anything about her baby? It is nice to see 3 weeks of better for Pearl..and some concerns. Wonderful Pearl likes being outside...do you have a camera to see what she does at night time? If you have one no need to share just summarize? I am glad to hear your words you can take her on walks. @@carolwright7503 That's kind of normal..... I'm sure you wouldn't want someone lifting your "tall/skirt" ? Horses are really sensative animals & believe it or not, I have found they don't like the negative energy that comes off of cellphone !!
From being bred to exhaustion and being dumped at the auction, Pearl knows she can finally relax now. Hoping she doesn't have too many health issues. Looking forward to seeing her true personality when she feels better.
Me too! Reproduction is hard work. Then comes raising the offspring. It never ends! And I don’t know how some people manage to previous offspring while reproducing repeatedly. Hats off to those folks, they have way more stamina than I do! So glad sweet Pearl finally gets to actually rest.
I get the feeling that at one of her two previous locations, there was someone who was kind to her, brushed her, gave her scratches and care. She surrenders so completely to CC's care ... I sense she is revisiting a time gone by. And I'd clamp my tail, too, as either someone was putting a foal into her during breeding, or, she had to push one out .... over and over and over.
I know that horses and dogs are different animals, but my mother took care of a worn out King Charles Spaniel who had had 49 puppies at a breeding farm. The vet finally told the owner that she absolutely wasn’t to have any more litters, and she was pining at being around other bitches having puppies, as apparently she had been a marvellous mum, so she came to us. She wasn’t as starved as poor Pearl, but she had similar problems of exhaustion and anxiety and needed gentle exercise and good food to rehabilitate her. She was with us for several years and had a happy life, giving joy to us too. I really don’t like the idea of using animals purely as breeding machines until they are worn out. Much of the world doesn’t do it with women anymore, but animals aren’t so lucky.
@@RataPerrythat it’s been so many years..! I hope she recovers well. she’s already likely relieved to be alone and know it’s almost all geldings there.

As a trial attorney, I've grown accustomed to people making humorous remarks, like wanting to commit a minor offense just to have me as their lawyer. I've learned to recognize the lighthearted and endearing tone behind these comments, and I appreciate the affection that comes with them. Lately, I found myself thinking that it would be wonderful to be a horse in CC's care. On a lighter note, who wouldn't want to be pampered by her? In all seriousness, CC's horses are truly blessed to have found a loving home with her. She cares for them with the devotion of a mother, attending to every detail, from hangnails to flea bites. It warms my heart and soul to see how beautifully you care for your gorgeous horses!! Thank you for everything you do, and for sharing your life with us ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
My mare is 27 years old now, and though she's in her twilight years, she still carries herself with the elegance of her youth. Once, she was an incredible eventer, with wins at prestigious competitions like Badminton, Burleigh Horse Trials. In her heyday, she was highly coveted, admired for her skill, speed, and grace. She's been with me for seven wonderful years, and we've developed a deep bond over that time. Every day, I make it a priority to see her, no matter what else is going on. My dog and I often take her on walks through the countryside. I let her move on a loose rein that's long enough for her to run or play if she wants, but she never does. It's as though she's content to simply stroll alongside us, like a very big, gentle dog on an extended lead. There's something magical about those walks-the way the three of us amble along together, with the fresh air and the soft crunch of the earth beneath our feet. She’s still full of personality and wisdom, even if her galloping days are behind her. Watching her enjoy life at her own pace is a reminder of how much she has given and how much joy she still brings.
The sweetest moment for me in this video was seeing what CC mentioned about how Pearly Girl would risk leaving her food to go stand with her. If Pearl could talk she would be saying with this behavior, “ I trust you, I’m grateful, and I’m starting to love you, CC”.
Most people who love horses know little about their care. You have taught so many of us so much. Thank you for showing so much love to those who have been shown little to none.
I wanted to share with you all that horses can live pretty long lives. I had the opportunity to train for English Equestrian years ago on a 43 year old mare. She was 17 hands high. At the time, she was older than I was and not retired yet. Yes, it's pretty rare to live that long, but it can happen. Pearl, if relatively healthy can live a long life with the right love and care. 💜💜💜 She looks so amazing already in just three short weeks. She has the perfect Momma to take care of her.
@Brenda You do realize that a 43 year old horse is an exception and *not* the rule. Most horses can live into their thirties, but will have some arthritis or other impediments. My own horse, a Thoroughbred, only lived to twenty six before she had to be put down due to health issues. I've noticed many Thoroughbreds only make it to about twenty-five....
That's amazing that a horse over 40 was still rideable! I knew a 41 yr old, retired school horse, but although he was given constant hay and sweetfeed (don't know that was the best choice, probably should have been on some senior rations) He died at 41 but could not have been ridden for many yrs previous.
One of the horses (she was about 17 hands high she was huge) I used to ride when I was a child and take out on trails was I think 34 years old. (she was 32-34 years old). She was in excellent condition.
Truth! But he also has the double advantage of having CC caring for him all his life! That makes a difference. It’s so fun to see his cute little old man hops when he’s frolicking with Prim. ❤️
Poor Pearl ... Glad you didn't take this time. They bred her until they bred her dry. 25 yr old mares should be retired by 20. Then given pasture retirement. She did her job.. glad she has landed softly.
It is so nice to see Pearl doing better. She looks so sweet natured, but obviously she is clever, too, if she has already learned how to operate the gate. 😄❤
CC you are an amazing horse mum. I will never understand how people can get rid of their horses like trash. Pearl is sooooo sweet ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you CC!
I love Frisco' s little bunny hops 😂 All the kids are looking wonderful! Pearl looks more happy with her situation. Can't wait to see her upcoming walks.
‘Side Quests’. I’m going to use that phrase. 😂 Poor Huckleberry. On the other hand he’s toasty warm in the truck. So, not a bad gig. How strong horses are! Can’t help but imagine the hardships she’s endured. She must have been such a pretty filly. Anyway! Today she’s living her best life. Thank you for finding her and bringing her home. Fun to see Miss Prim and Frisco Bill. They’re a cute couple. And Zig and Scarlet. Sweet. Love your videos. ❤
Enjoyed watching Prim and Frisco Bill capering about, he has an excellent quality of life, and his girlfriend is so FANCY! 🔥😘🍀. Pearl looks tremendously better! Well done! How adorable it was to see Frisco Bill “kicking” up his heels. Precious, each and every one, including you.
Miss Pearl has taken a serious liking to you CC, and clearly shows her trust in you. Miss Pearl looks so much better with the refeeding technique you employed. ❤❤❤
CC, even if your care for Pearl is not exciting, remember that she's soaking up all your attention and care along with her food. I think you are healing her mind as well as her body. So even if you find some fatal problem, you have already given her so much.
I have never seen any of these things coming out of our European Warmbloods, I am still shell shocked that a Horse carry’s these around in its guts😮 she looks very happy and much better, her legs are not swollen anymore and the fluid under her belly is much better I think…a marvellous recovery for a 26 year old Horse ❤❤❤ Wonderful Work ❤

It's so encouraging how well Pearl is doing. How her belly swelling was half what it was before with the beet pulp. Thank you for taking us with you on the referring, it's amazing even though Pearl still seems tired, at least we know she's gonna make it. Slower is good.
Prim and Frisco Bill really have an amazing Repor with one another. She seems to help keep him young and plays with him. She also looks very satisfied, safe, and happy to be with him too. Just 2 very happy horses they couldn't have asked for a better life!
I am very surprised (and delighted) just how much Pearl's body condition has improved in just 21 days as a direct result of your care and attention to detail and in collaboration with your vet. I think that you have every reason to feel most proud about the improvement we can all see.
Its been so heartwarming to see you helping mumma Pearl. I feel all tingly knowing shes with you for her retirement and that she'll always be comfortable.😊
I think Pearl has realized that it's pretty nice to have a Mom rather than to be the Mom for a change! Let her spend the winter months resting on the couch with some netflix, and she'll be a different horse come Spring! There is so much difference already, in her body, and especially in her eyes!
If there was an award for being the best care giver for think she’d win !!! It’s amazing how welll she turns things around !!!! Great job girl ! ❤️😁🤷♀️🐴🏡
Pearl looks so much better in just 3 weeks. Was glad to see you finally have your garter it looks like a fun machine. Thanks for sharing your life with us I always look forward to seeing the videos 😀❤️
I think she's stunned by you allowing her to say no. Especially with people lifting her tail, I bet you reading and allowing her desires is much appreciated. She doesn't seem like the type to consistently push back for long. You've totally won her over already but she's still feeling out the situation. I'm glad you're so kind and patient with them. I forget how beautiful Prim's colors are since we don't see her as often! Thank you for putting in the extra effort to film to give us wonderful afternoon joy!
I love that you didn't even have to catch Frisco Bill up. He just happily followed his girls into the barn and headed right for his stall ...where dinner waited
She was used up and discarded to whatever fate awaited her, and no one cared, except our CC. She is such a lucky old gal to have ended up here! She looks so much better now, with some light in her eyes, alert and interested in her surroundings, and, of course, in her guardian angel. ❤ She's attached to you already. What a stark and sad contrast between Frisco bill and Pearl.
“Purly Gurly” is already lookin so much healthier than a few weeks ago, so I can only imagine how she will shine in the coming months. I do wonder if she’s still missing her last foal, but hopefully her personality will come into its own with time and healing, and she’ll be making new and happy memories with her friends now! 👍🏼😊
I can’t but smile when seeing her small ears peak up and the glimmer in her eyes. What ever her condition and future, right now that is a very satisfied horse. Today I am also very, very relieved on a personal level since my old dog just is recovering from a severe constipation and I am happy he’s actually alive. It’s been some really worrying week, and watching Pearls satisfied face, Frisco Kid and Prim playing around, the beautiful flat bottomed clouds over the mountains and all of your happy animals makes me laugh out loud of happiness. My dog is alive though still very tired an not quite over the hill but he is almost his old misscheavious himself and as usual a lot like Nigel. Some days life has an extra level of satisfaction and looking att Pearl, Ziggy and old Nigel having such wonderful lifes, I think exactly how you must feel when you see the glimmer in their eyes. So, an extra thank you today for letting us, me, sharing yor beautiful life. Love fom Sweden. ❤
Pearl is looking so much better CC, and how sweet Frisco Bill is trying to kick his hooves up in the air bless him, Prim is so pretty especially when she was trotting around with her tail and head up in the air, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Pearl may have had 2 long term owners but may not have had a lot of attention recently. She knows you are giving her care and attention and her puppy dog following you shows she loves you and is grateful. To her, food is just a bonus when you're around
It’s so cute that Pearl has figured out how to open her gate. What a smart girl! She is thriving under your care CC. Have to add that Prim and Frisco Bill kickin’ up their heels is so adorable! Happy, happy horses.
I want to thank you for the wonderful views of the mountains! They are spectacular and make me homesick for the eastern slope of the Colorado Rockies where I born and raised. After thirty five years in the Arizona desert, seeing the beauty and majesty of the Rockies leaves me with a feeling of peace and longing. It was good to see Prim and Frisco Bill again. Continued success in Pearls re-feeding program, she is looking so much better and I love the way she follows you around like a puppy.

Pearl reminds me so much of my auction rescue who is also a grey mare. Coming up on our two year gotcha-day anniversary. We are No where near where I thought we would be at this point but so so so sooooo many lessons learned. The most important thing though? She’s healthy, continuously receiving the best care, and has pony friends she loves. Pearl reminds me how far we have come. Best wishes from “my Pearl” to yours❤❤❤❤
Its so great that Pearl is looking like a well loved horse again! You can tell she's just so grateful! Also, I am impressed with the fact you don't particularly feel the need to tie your horses when you groom, or spend time cleaning them up! You are the only horse person I know of who does this! Prim and Frisco Bill really have an amazing Repor with one another. She seems to help keep him young and plays with him. She also looks very satisfied, safe, and happy to be with him too. Just 2 very happy horses they couldn't have asked for a better life!
Pearl is looking so much better and she is so appreciative of your attention. Prim and Frisco together are adorable.
She does look much brighter. I love watching her eat nonstop...she's making up for lost time.
How can anyone dump a beautiful soul like pearl. It baffles me. Horse are for life. Thanku for finding and saving her
I think Pearl has realized that it's pretty nice to have a Mom rather than to be the Mom for a change! Let her spend the winter months resting on the couch with some netflix, and she'll be a different horse come Spring! There is so much difference already, in her body, and especially in her eyes!
Do you have a source for a horse-sized couch? Coildn't find one on Amazon.

You are...... a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL SOUL...
Prim is so pretty. Pearl is lucky to be with you.
I am happy to see that she's eating the beet pulp now and passing more enteroliths. I am so glad to learn about these things! Ugg.
Pearl seems like such lovable girl. You can tell that she cares so much about you.❤🐴
Scarlet just has to make sure now and then that you know, that when you catch her, it is only because she lets you...😂🐎
If there was an award for being the best care giver for think she’d win !!!
Even my untrained, don't know anything about horse care, eye can see how much better she is.
Thanks for saving Pearl. She’s worth it, with that sweet temperament. Lucky Momma!
Unbelievable how Pearl’s top line has improved. You go girl.
Pearl's face looks so cute topped with her fuzzy short ears ❤
So happy that you passed o the mustang. She needs you much, much more. What a lovely horse. CC, she just loves you. ❤❤😂😂
Hose on a dark tarp in the sun will thaw it out, even in freezing weather. Just a suggestion. (It's why Tiny loves your black tractor seat.)
Pearl is looking so much better CC, and how sweet Frisco Bill is trying to kick his hooves up in the air bless him, Prim is so pretty especially when she was trotting around with her tail and head up in the air, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thanks!
Thank you!
She really looks more alert and engaged, and her posture looks better too.
So beautiful to see the mountains ⛰ ⛰ ⛰ ⛰ in the background ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pearl may have had 2 long term owners but may not have had a lot of attention recently. She knows you are giving her care and attention and her puppy dog following you shows she loves you and is grateful. To her, food is just a bonus when you're around
Prim ❤ sashaying around Frisco Bill she just loves him
What a great job you did bringing her back. She looks so much happier. Thank you
Pearl looks back at you and says, "More hay!? Thank you!"
I have a weakness for buckskins, and Prim is absolutely STUNNING!! 🤩
Thanks so much for all the care you do for these horses!! Pearl is looking so much better an she has taken to you !!❤
It's so obvious "horse" is definitely in your DNA!❤️
PEARL IS LIKE A NEW HORSE!! SHE HAS ANOTHER LEASE ON LIFE!! THANKS TO THE CLEVER AND HER EFFORTS!! YOU ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING FOR YOUR HORSE'S!! AND THEIR IS NO BETTER AT THIS THAN YOURSELF!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!
Can we talk about how gorgeous Pearl’s eyes are up close!? Those long, white lashes! ❤
How adorable is Frisco Bill being frisky 😂😂❤
At age 29 he still has some old pizzazz!!!
Pearl is already looking so much better! I hope her stiff legs will get better too overtime🤞🏻 I cracked up when you showed all of Tiny's little pawprints on the little truck😂
Think you're giving her the most TLC she has ever had & she's fallin' in love with ya❤
Pearl is looking so much better! Thank you CC for taking her in and taking us along with you ❤ Learning a lot!
Its so great that Pearl is looking like a well loved horse again! You can tell she's just so grateful! Also, I am impressed with the fact you don't particularly feel the need to tie your horses when you groom, or spend time cleaning them up! You are the only horse person I know of who does this! It speaks of a level of cooperation and trust between you and the horse that I have never seen before!
