I have to say, when I saw baby Penelope run outside and head to the fence to see the other horses, my heart squeezed in pure joy to see the size of the herd gather around the baby and welcome her. Thank you so much for doing what you do. I can't get through one of your videos without crying in joy for the freedom and peace you offer these beautiful horses.
Wow that mare who refused to get off the truck in Mexico is one brave girl. Despite their abuse to try and remove her she stood her ground. Her will to live outweighed the consequences. Precious girl ❤
Thank you, Julie and Cory, for providing medical care for all your beautiful rescues....it's probably the first time ever that they've gotten such loving care!
I've decided I hate the amish. There simply is no excuse to treat a horse so badly! Watching these videos, starts with tears for these abused animals, then I can smile again after seeing the dear care you give them. THANK YOU!!!
When Penelope went out in her paddock for the first time and the herd came running in to see her , it reminded me of how elephants react to a new baby. I bet if she's ever ready to go out with the herd she'll be pampered and protected. Such a little punkin'!!🐎💜🐎
I was thinking, while watching the video, that most if not all of the work horses are never in a herd. They all look so happy and healthy! Bless y'all for all you do.
Julie...I can't thank you enough for what you are doing for these big gentle animals. I feel so sorry for Persephone. No animal should be mistreated like she has been. I feel like the owner who mistreated her should be held accountable. God bless you, your family and all of the staff.
Get magnetic nail picker upper for the construction area. You don't want to be digging stuff out of those big hooves. Penelope is precious. Time, light exercise, and good food cures alot of problems. I pray that works for her.
Walter is much improved, so THANK YOU. He is a sweetheart and as much weight he has gained, he's still so thin. Wow. Penelope is precious. ❤ Persephone so deserves your love. You are the best kind of human beings for caring about these gentle horses! 😊
How lovely to see so many rotund 😂 Belgians! I think Penelope should be called Princess Penelope because she gets a welcoming committee each time she goes out ❤😂
Those horse/animal auctions are absolutely and incredibly evil. Thank you for all t hat you do for these precious innocent animals who through no fault of their own, find themselves in such horrific circumstances.
Ms. Julie, Today , the weather is not good for Fletcher Farm with all the snow. I know that all who are following your LLC. and Website are praying for Protection and comfort for all the Rescues and Rescuers that you are responsible for ! 🙏 May our Merciful and Loving Creator GOD see and react to ALL THE NEEDS that are now , and that will come in these days of 2025.❤❤🩹💖💝❤🔥
I cannot understand how ANYONE can treat an animal so badly! There is no excuse for this. I’m so very thankful for you, she neeeded you and you were there for her. We had a Percheron that was 18h and a beautiful and gentle horse. To see Pénélope be enveloped and welcomed by the here was so amazing ! bless you all 💙💜💙💜
Gosh I just cannot imagine anyone sending a 4-month old Belgian Draft Horse off to parts unknown! Penelope is a cutie! She is a pretty and sweet horse! Isn’t it amazing to see how the “word” spread among the older horses, to come see the “baby” now at home there! A BIG family of Belgian Draft Horses! Your farm is really growing Julie! It is beautiful and I can tell you love your life caring for these beautiful horses! Thank you, Julie!💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕🌼💕
That's what I was thinking. That she had a trauma to that inside chondrial. Possibility that she was lying down and momma accidentally stepped on that stifle, which WOULD cause an injury such as this in Penelope. Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
This young 4 months old is absolutely adorable. I am soo happy you saved her.. my goodness she is still so young and they were just going to kill her 😢 Thank you so much for saving her and giving her a good life !!!
Seeing the herd rush in to see Penelope reminds me of my favorite moment when a new foal is born and every horse in the barn calls out an eager welcome. The sound is magic and so special. I can't wait to see this beautiful filly join the herd and how the gentle giants protect her. This was a great update. 💖
You are amazing. That you for rescuing those wonderful animals. I am shocked how fast people get rid of working horses and even babie horses. You make the world a bit better
Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving these magnificent horses and giving them the life they were meant to have. May they all heal AND thrive under your loving and healing hands. You all are angels on Earth. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This heartwarming video made my day! So nice to see Persephone and poor Walter again and how they get all the care they need. God bless you and all the people working for the "gentle giants" and their friends with four legs. In the darkness of this cold and cruel world you are the shining star of hope - like once the one at Bethlehem. ❤🌟❤
Wow! What a heartwarming reaction from the herd to baby Penelope coming out to the fence! That’s amazing! She looks like she’s feeling better… how wonderful! Thank you for rescuing her! God bless you for the work you do! Watching from Canada.
Baby Penelope laying down asleep in her Stall made me both Angry and happy. Angry because she had gone through a lot for her age and happy because she could now rest her soul in her new Safe home. What an amazing welcome the herd gave this baby. Seeing her take off running to the herd melted my heart ❤❤❤
It is just so amazing that you have rescued these horses from doomed endings - - still unbelievable that disposing of horses for slaughter to any country is allowed. It is the most shameful thing. My heart hurts seeing the scenes of injured and elderly horses discarded - in pain - But You Add Hope To That Equation - - Thank You Thank You X0
From the bottom of my heart thank you Flechter Farns. And thank you everyone who has donated to help with saving these poor abused horses. All of you are amazing!
Just got your channel on my RUclips, omgosh what do the Amish do to these horses? Work them to death & not treat them right? How awful people, always thought they were kind & loved God’s creations?? These horses are shipped to MEXICO to be killed?? Oh how horrible. 😭😡 I watch Longhorn Lester channel, they just rescued their FIRST Belgian & similar problems but they have a good vet too so Roman is very loved & doing good. They could learn a lot from you guys. I subscribed because what you guys do is save beautiful lives that deserve to live & be loved. Thank you so much for what you do. ❤❤🙏✝️🤗🤗🐴
Wow, thank you all for video n stories and smiles if I'm dreaming just seeing tons of Christmas babies foals colts new Borns then let me dream though id love to the careful way deep hearted love and wishes to see for myself .. Patience is key 🥴☺️😘😆💪💪💪💪⚓⚓⚓⚓🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇸🎅🤶🎅🤶👒🎄🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎
Poor little baby Belgian. I wonder if she suffered an injury during birth? Maybe she was breech and there was rough human intervention. I'm so glad she's with you now. It must have lifted her spirits meeting all her aunties and uncles! Lifted spirits help to fix broken bodies. All the horses look so well and happy - it's a pleasure to watch them mooching about the pasture. Even the poor old black boy perked up noticeably over the course of your film! You're doing such a wonderful job and it's nice to see that you have a bit of help now.
Love your videos and all the updates on new horses. Penelope is looking good. Was so good to watch her run and go meet the rest of the herd who all seemed to be happy to welcome her. Maybe the more she uses her leg will be good for her, hopefully but I'm not a vet. Can pray God will help her strengthen her leg. What you and Cory and the rest do is such a God send. Thank you for what you do.
I’m so glad that you rescued Persephone. I look forward to seeing her when she comes home. It’s so hard to see the neglect and abuse these beautiful animals have suffered, but it’s so heartwarming to see all that you do for them to heal as much as possible and live a good life.
I love seeing these big beauties enjoy their retirement, and I love knowing that Penelope is cared for. Persephone really is a perfect name for that beautiful mare.
Liam wanted so much to groom you during the finale. I hope penelope does well. Everyone loves her! Thanks for rescuing her and Walter and the poor beaten up mare.
Thank you so much for doing what you do. I can't get through one of your videos without crying in joy for the freedom and peace you offer these beautiful horses.
That was a beautiful thing to see all the horses coming to see Penelope, just imagine all the the babies that have been taken from your mares she will have so many aunties and uncles when she goes out. Thank you for the update
May God bless you. You are so special with these beautiful horses. My heart goes out to these sad animals. You give them hope, love medical care, freedom, and happiness. Thank you ❤
OMG, the way the whole herd loves Penelope is astonishing! They are also teaching her how to be a horse, her learning how to run and kick like a young filly made my heart sing, possibly a few tears of joy too! Thank you for all you have done and will continue doing for all these majestic animals! ❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊 That's so beautiful and amazing that the herd has come to protect the injured baby. Penelope will be protected. I just can't stop crying. It's so heart warming. Praying 🙏
Penelope, sweet, beautiful baby girl. ❤🤗😍 To be torn from your mother when you were yet to be weaned. Only humans can be so depraved, so evil, so cruel. The adult horses are in awe of her and they come running when she runs towards them. She’s looking for her mama. Well now you have an entire herd of aunties and uncles to look after you. Persephone, thank God you wouldn’t get out of that trailer in Mexico. The brutality shown towards these horses to be slaughtered is disgusting, infuriating. The sick, the dying, the maimed, the deformed, the injured are in the horse meat that is eaten not to mention the stress, fear hormones coursing through their entire bodies as they’re being assaulted before and during slaughter for those who are still awake. May their “souls” rest in peace because they were given none when they were alive. Thank God, thank God Penelope was spared and all the rescues at Fletcher Farms.
When these guys are first rescued, they nearly all have that same shut down, worn out look - not surprisingly, as their lives have been so hard - when I saw Liam this time he looked so happy, you can tell he’s enjoying his life as a horse… not a machine!! God bless Julie and Cory and the team! ❤️🙏
Thanks for rescuing these horses. I like all horses but the percheron is one of my favorite breeds. They’re very adaptable and can be used for almost anything.
My God this poor horse Perstephany .. she rode all the way to Mexico and back. She just did not want to die. 😢😢😢😢 I could cry just thinking about what she has gone thru. First being abused as an amish workhorse and then this just to be handled like trash 😢😢😢 Thank you a million times for helping her .. 🙏🙏🙏 The way these horses are being treated is absolutely heartbreaking 💔 😢
You and your team are amazing Julie saving and caring for these vulnerable equines. Wonderful to see the horses responding so positively to your tender living care. Penelope is the sweetest little foal and it's just lovely to see the way the herd responded to her. Watching her run out in the enclosure was great to see - she must be feeling so much better . Best wishes to you all ❤️🐴
The little Princess will rule the herd, mark my words. Penelope is just too darn cute but Liam is absolutely gorgeous. I truly hope that there is something that can help her leg but thankfully she will grow up and grow old in a loving barn with friends and humans to wait on her hand and hoof. Walter is gonna be a spunky older gentleman and once he is back near normal weight, you are really gonna see his personality come out. He is such a dignified gentleman and I can't wait to see him with more weight on him.
I love these update videos. The videos take me thru such a range of emotions. Thank you over and over again for all you and your team do for these horses.
The herd's reaction to the baby was one of the most beautiful moments!
So sweet! They ALL care about the baby!
They claimed her.
Yes!
Persephony, is anything wrong with left rear leg❤?
I have to say, when I saw baby Penelope run outside and head to the fence to see the other horses, my heart squeezed in pure joy to see the size of the herd gather around the baby and welcome her. Thank you so much for doing what you do. I can't get through one of your videos without crying in joy for the freedom and peace you offer these beautiful horses.
Well said. 🐎😊
Beautiful Penelope. Thank you for taking care of her. She would need a horse companion in her age to get and stay socially healthy.
Yup - same here Kim! A little piece of heaven in our broken world!! ❤️🙏
We are all empathics and crying is one of our best or worst discipline ❤😢
We are all empathics and crying is one of our best or worst discipline ❤😢
Damned Amish
Thank you for saving these beautiful souls. It's so hard to see them at the auction. They don't deserve it . . .
We agree! Thank you for your support!
Persephone refusing to get off the trailer is amazing. She said: Not today, Satan!!
The herd's reaction to Penelope was so very sweet.
They probably tried to beat her out of the trailer, and that's why she was in such rough shape. 🤬
Wow that mare who refused to get off the truck in Mexico is one brave girl. Despite their abuse to try and remove her she stood her ground. Her will to live outweighed the consequences. Precious girl ❤
I wondered if some of the injuries the vets identified were the result of her refusal to leave the trailer in Mexico?
Anyone who questions the horse as a sentient being
needs to watch the reaction of the Belgian Herd to the new filly!!
Thank you, Julie and Cory, for providing medical care for all your beautiful rescues....it's probably the first time ever that they've gotten such loving care!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
*Herd sees Penelope*
"Protect the baby!"😀
She is probably wanting her Mom -- now she has loving aunts and uncles!! You amaze me. God bless you!!
I've decided I hate the amish. There simply is no excuse to treat a horse so badly!
Watching these videos, starts with tears for these abused animals, then I can smile again after seeing the dear care you give them. THANK YOU!!!
Thank God for sending these beautiful babies you! You are no dought Angels sent from Heaven!
Walter is such a cutie! He looks like he is waking up from a bad dream. He will enjoy retirement!
When Penelope went out in her paddock for the first time and the herd came running in to see her , it reminded me of how elephants react to a new baby. I bet if she's ever ready to go out with the herd she'll be pampered and protected. Such a little punkin'!!🐎💜🐎
May the Lord bless you and multiply all the "loaves and fishes" people send for their care.
Big horse herds, that’s how I envision heaven 🥰. Thank you for saving these beautiful horses!!
Merry Xmas to all you wonderful folks looking after these beautiful animals I always watch every week Thankyou.
Same to you!
I was thinking, while watching the video, that most if not all of the work horses are never in a herd. They all look so happy and healthy! Bless y'all for all you do.
Amazingly beautiful animals. There is a special.place.in Heaven for.people who rescue animals.
And a special place elsewhere for the Amish who abuse and discard them.
Julie...I can't thank you enough for what you are doing for these big gentle animals. I feel so sorry for Persephone. No animal should be mistreated like she has been. I feel like the owner who mistreated her should be held accountable. God bless you, your family and all of the staff.

Harbor Freight
PERSEPHONE knows she is safe with someone who loves her maybe for the first time in her life. Thank you Julie. I will keep her in my prayers.
Thank you, Julie and Cory, for saving so many deserving horses and donkeys...you both are absolute angels!
Walter is much improved, so THANK YOU. He is a sweetheart and as much weight he has gained, he's still so thin. Wow.
Penelope is precious. ❤
Persephone so deserves your love. You are the best kind of human beings for caring about these gentle horses! 😊

I wouldn’t call them “rotund.” I’d say they look healthy.
Those horse/animal auctions are absolutely and incredibly evil. Thank you for all t hat you do for these precious innocent animals who through no fault of their own, find themselves in such horrific circumstances.
Watching Penelope whinny while running made me feel joy. It's so good she is happy and feeling the love. Thank you for rescuing her.

The protective instincts of the herd to protect the young. That is what I saw. Great on you what you do for these horses.

I think that that might be what happened. I was thinking along the same lines as you. It’s such an odd place to get that sort of trauma.
That's what I thought, too!
That’s exactly the injury source that came to my mind too
This young 4 months old is absolutely adorable. I am soo happy you saved her.. my goodness she is still so young and they were just going to kill her 😢
Thank you so much for saving her and giving her a good life !!!
It’s so upsetting to see these beautiful creatures used up and discarded like trash. Thank you for all you do.❤

Sure wish the horses could talk. Their stories would sure tell the tale.
To some extent they do talk through their physiognomy, their health. The Clever Cowgirl is testament to that!
That's great news that the entire herd came up to meet her. You wont have to worry about her ever.
