When I replaced the clutch on my son's Amarok, I slid the gearbox only back far enough to be able to get the flywheel off. I didn't see the need to take the gearbox out completely. I think it saved a lot of time.
Goeie aarde, ek is nie 100% seker of hierdie 'n job is sonder 'n lift nie. Jy het definitief hierdie tiepe ding al voorheen gedoen! Awesome video. Maak ook een van hoe jy die CAT se binnekant uithaal
Rudi van Schalkwyk dis my eerste amarok ratkas. Het al ander uitgehaal. N lift sal dit makliker maak maar sal twede keer baie makliker gaan. Het hom trouens weer uitgehaal na ek hom terug gesit het om iets te double check. Darm nie als klaar gemaak nie net die cross member ingehad.
Hey man, how do I locate engine mount on amarok 2014 tdi 2.0...I can't get oil pan out. It was leaking before ... after undone I can't get it out... Please help me as to how to locate the engine mount so I can lift the engine to access the sum and clean it out...
I supported it only for a short while till I had the engine mount back. And after that I did support it under the front so that the engine don't tip forward to much...
@willemtreurnicht3818 thanks for the reply, only need to remove it to get access to the turbos oil supply pipe as its cracked. I don't have a crane or engine beam tho so hopping I could just support the engine with a plank of wood under the sump...
You use a crowbar and stick it in between the housing and the cv on the shaft and then lever it off with a proper bit of power on the crowbar. On the front you stick the crow bar in at the slight cut out in the housing on the left of the shaft. With the one on the transfer case there is kind of knob on the housing just below the cv, I used a thin piece of wood between the housing and the crowbar and then just sent it to get it popped off... They have a clip inside that just needs to pop off...
@@thuanle296 you talking about the front prop shaft or front side drive shafts? Both can be removed while leaving the gearbox in place... For the side shafts you will need to remove or at least undo the bottom of the shock...
Sara Lee sheen you use a crow bar and lever it off. Just use a piece of wood or something to protect the transfer case housing. The front one comes off easy.
Just realising you might be asking about the sideshaft and not the propshaft... Has some bolts against the diff housing and then one big bolt on the hub. You'll need to also take out the shock the get the drive/side shaft out.

How did you get the drive shaft to the front diff out

Someone told me that you have to remove the gear box. Can you confirm if this is true or not for the prop shaft
