Axis in this case is definitely shirking a lot of the responsibility, but as he said, he was forced into this, so it is understandable

FACE THE POWER OF MY BIDEN BLAST
In undertale there was book that said that humans can use magic, is *GUNHAT BLAST* magic?
Btw the monster that was with Konako (that the human attacked) was actually Dalv... who revealed in his battle dialogue that he attacked the integrity human first so the human was just acting in self-defence... it is because of this encounter that Dalv hides in Dark Ruins.
Yep!
It's pronounced Kanako, not Konako.
But yes, I do like how things come to a full circle. :)
Integrity is defined as “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.”
I would make the argument that is one of the easier traits to corrupt (not the easiest of course, bravery and justice writes itself) annnd now I want to make an Undertale Blue
As I had Chujin say “Incapable of change”
@@Yuti640 The line between Steadfastness and Stubbornness is the thinnest one there is
Yeah, the crusader route in yellow kinda proves that a kid would definitively do that for reasons
Bravery's geno run might be based around rage, like, they just rush forward and kill people out of anger
@dylanzlol7293 I think bravery would do a geno route because of the recklessness. Something like "So there's spooky angry monsters living here? Welp, I will defeat them! Because I'm not a coward like y'all!"
You know the more i think about it, the more i find chujin to be a character i find maybe deserved his death. He was a character who blamed pthers before himself (blamed asgore for firing him when asgore literally gave hime like 7 tries and the last attempt had him burn the grave of asgore's son, I'd have fired him too). He then lies to wife about him getting fired to as he says have her not think less of him when from what we know of ceroba is a probably not what would have happened. Then he kills integrity and experiments on their soul and thats fine, but when hes dieing he then on his deathbed tells ceroba to finish his work when she seems to have no experience with science seemingly while also guving her the task of killing a specificly pure innocent human.
Yeah, basically telling Ceroba to kill a human and retroactively kill or use Asgore for the fusion is messed up
I completely agree. I am one of the few people that am of the opinion that the genocide route is completely okay in Undertale Yellow. And although Chujin was not the original reason that I developed this opinion, he is most certainly one of the characters that reinforce this opinion.
Chujin did not need to harm Integrity. He just had a prejudice against humans and wanted an excuse to hurt her, so he took her attacking Dalv in self-defense as that excuse. He deserved to die. Completely. If only Ceroba knew exactly how dark her husband really was. Because Ceroba is not the problem. She does not hate humans, and she actually really does care about Clover. Chujin however, is a monster by both definitions.
@TheStudioArchitect my opinion on the geno is a mixed one, some of the kills are a form of justice; ceroba, asgore, and axel(somewhat as he was forced). But the other monsters required for geno, they didn't really do much to deserve it. I mean yes they were not trying to stop the human slaughter or anything, but a lot were just living thir lives. Like for all the ruin monsters, it's hard to even know if they agree about asgore's plan since they are in the ruins which is locked till dalv leaves. Along with monsters who I say barely get the idea that their fighting like dunebud. Finally there is the final boss martlet, which clover directly digging into her mind to try and find a reason to hate her, which means at some level he gets that she hasn't really done much wrong, but just believes that he is meant to do justice.
@@thejester4130 I see your point. I also agree with your point. My thinking is that it's all about an eye for an eye. Asgore didn't ultimately get to act on his plan, but he _was_ going to kill billions of innocent humans, before Frisk changed his mind. So, in my opinion, Clover is simply doing the same thing. He is getting to the monsters before the monsters can get to him.
@@TheStudioArchitect fair enough, but I imagine in the yellow geno timeline, if frisk goes still that monsters will probably be less inclined to be spared. Eye for eye makes the world blind and all that.
Personally I don’t think integrity did genocide, I’d assume neutral tbh. We know the power of a human soul with massive LV so there’s no way they’d lose to axis that easily. Plus the canon ending for integrity being neutral would go well the theme of neutral endings never being well… good in any possible viewpoint. And would also serve as a better explanation for the loss to axis.
Don't forget Integrity was scared too as stated in the unused echo flowers dialogue in the ballet shoes room section of UT where they said "I cannot run any longer. Somebody, anybody..." I don't think anyone with a massive LV would just attack one monster but be scared enough to flee and ask for help before getting killed though. Integrity would straight up fearlessly kill Axis without hesitation in one hit just like how Clover killed Asgore in the genocide run whereas they were stuck in a hopeless battle to death in the flawed pacifist run because they hesitated to kill Asgore there. Also Snowdin would have been an evacuated place the moment Integrity arrived there in the genocide run.
I kind of like it as ambiguous, that way when someone makes a fangame for the character it can be up to us the player to decide which ending makes the most sense. Kind of like how UTY was with the pacifist branches but less focused on having pacifist variants be the only canon endings. Not that I don't think Neutral or Genocide were good approaches for that game in particular, but I would prefer to see something different next time where every ending could possibly be canon to Undertale. They could have attacked out of fear due to being treated more harshly than the other fallen children, or it could mean they still felt fear and empathy as a no mercy killer which is also interesting. The truth is scarily objective and may paint the monsters in not such a good light for this human's story. Maybe for them it actually was self defense in more pacifist neutral routes, versus an excuse to vindicate in less friendly ones.
It’s sort of implied to have been a genocide route by the music players’ dialogue in the honeydew inn during genocide
They said a human had a rampage through snowdin if it was just a neutral it wouldn't be a rampage since the monsters wouldn't have had to go to the point of evacuation yet to know it was a rampage.
integrity did try to attack axis, but having no ranged weapon, integrity instead charged, but I do think axis had enough reaction time to attack integrity and end integrity.
And Axis hid it behind the waterfall, where the body decomposed and left the dusty tutu

The thing is, integrity's dusty tutu is found behind the initial waterfall's waterfall, and the ballet shoes are found inside of a bush, so i feel like they were hiding then got attacked (it caused them to drop the tutu) then they ran away and hid on the blue bush and got killed
Possibly, but we don’t know, all we do know is that they’re very hidden for some reason
@@Yuti640 in the waterfall room, theres an echo flower saying that they saw something behind the waterfall, implying that they were searching integrity, given that the dusty tutu is found there, you can piece together that there was a fight there that caused them to run away in fear, hiding on a bush.

@@fedethegreat88 “yeah some children just do it mass murder, they’re like that sometimes”
Having Integrity is basically heavily staying by your morals and not allowing things to influence you
it’s why i had Chujin say “incapable of change”
Im tired of people saying that integrity was some sort of demon who went on a genocide. There is no evidence to suggest that they went down that path. Yes, they killed people. You know what that is called? A neutral route. They did not go out of their way to slay every monster they could find, they most likely just killed everyone they came across. And why is that? Because they were a scared child who fell into a world where everyone was set on killing them. Sparing monsters would not be so easy. There is nothing indicating they had floweys assistance or frisks determination, meaning one death is all it would take to end them. They were trying to survive.

integrity is one of the most interesting of the fallen humans, everything surrounding them is filled to the brim with ambiguity about their moral actions despite being something associated with honesty
both the descriptions of the old tutu("finally a protective piece of armor") and ballet shoes("these shoes make you feel incredibly dangerous") can both be interpreted literally due to its stats or sarcastically due to being a literall tutu and ballet shoes
even papyrus's quote about the tutu being dusty can be seen both in a innocent light(the tutu is dusty due to lack of use) and in a negative light(the tutu is dusty due to being used during murder) since undertale does both, specially considering how(outside of chara) its the only soul with spoken dialogue(even if it is hidden in the files) while yellow is admittedly less ambiguous about integrity's morality i think its interesting to note that we know next to nothing about the snowdin incident given how chujin wasn't even present when it happened
I've always just...felt bad for Axis in this scene. And just for Axis in general tbh. Like it's worth noting that Axis does speak of Chujin kindly but also like. It's incredibly fucked that Axis is sentient and capable of empathy and emotion and yet at any point can be forced to commit acts of violence against his will with zero say in the matter. And that honestly Chujin never really talks about Axis like he's a person when he is.
He literally says "I had a tool that can stop human's crusade." He never really saw AXIS as his son, even If he said anything good to him.
It was most likely Chujin projecting on him cause he wishes his father said the same things to him.
@@urdeadnotbigsuprise7439 What I kind of hoped was the case was that Axis and Chujin at one point had a nicer relationship and then the incident with Integrity severely damaged Chujin's perception of Axis. To cope with what Axis did, he basically forces himself to think of Axis as merely a tool; a robot who does not understand that what he did was wrong and just did what his programming did without question. And this idea was only furthered by the fact that Axis probably did not want to seem upset in front of Chujin and his memory was promptly erased, allowing Chujin to tell himself that Axis had no feelings about it at all.
Axis does state that Chujin was genuinely kind to him and that he misses him, after all.

This story, the arc, amazing. Maybe the soul of Integrity should have a DLC with this story.
Perhaps!
Something you should know is that I had concepts for a "Roaring Samurai" for Deltarune Yellow and Chujin was going to be the Roaring Samurai.
interesting idea
Ive always wondered since Undertale Yellow came out is.. well, what would happen if Clover came down a bit earlier and met Chujin? Its an interesting thought..
Would Chujin think the same way? Or would he change his mind out about humans?
I’m actually more curious about what Ceroba would be like pre-Chujin and Kanako dying, i suppose she’d probably just be more of how she was when we first met her, a random side character that, in this case, doesn’t get too involved in the story
I kinda feel like Clover would have gotten intercepted near Oasis by Chujin as a miniboss a-la Undyne, have to fight him and a standard Mercy isn't possible, but you still can manage to spare him through more unconventional means, though even if you befriend him it wouldn't change the run much.
In Geno he'd probably be one of the cruxes of the run like Undyne the Undying, he's a boss monster who has proof the danger of a human, experimented with human souls, and has a solid, unshakable reason to protect his family.
In a Pacifist run you could probably befriend him and meet his family, and maybe the run could even end with Clover going back to the Ketsukanes, helping Chujin with his research by being a willing and pure human, until Clover dies of old age or somesuch and their soul is delivered to Asgore for safe keeping.
TLDR: He'd probably be pretty close to being an Undyne of this theoretical earlier UtY, though the nature of his research would make him have a lot more of an impact in a true pacifist run.
"what If clover came down earlier and met chujin"
I'd have done a neutral routes before doing pacifist
Oh the irony
Chujin thought he could make a syrum with a soul that despises monsters
Just for her to be the death of him and his daughter
(Context: when a monster absorbs a human soul the control over the body is split
If both the human and the monster are friendly towards each other then control would be smooth
AKA: asriel and chara
If not the soul WILL retaliate and killing you from within
AKA: flowey and the 6 souls)
Also this is why asgore doesn't stright up absorbs 1 soul and fetch 7 souls
Adults naturally have more willpower and determination making it practical impossible to negotiate with
I genuinely believe that the "impurity" in integrity's soul is actually integrity resisting chujin's experiments, hating Monsters or not integrity hás more than enought reason to hate chujin and we've seen in undertale that the souls do container some level of conscience and have been able to resist or straight UP override commands of the original owner of the body
Hey, could you tell me where you got that information from? I find it quite interesting and until now I have never heard of it. I was always curious why it was such a bad idea to experiment with souls.

What makes my blood boil about Chujin, and consequently Ceroba since she follows his ideals, is how they lack self awareness.
They cannot even fathom the idea that a human child, put into a situation where monsters chase them and even killed every child who fell there with no hope of survival, would choose violance.
Why? Because their worldview doesnt ever move on. The humans trapped there down the mountain, so they want revenge, but at the same time a human cannot ever be angry at them for hurting them and other innocent children, they are supposed to just stop, be all friendly, and accept their demise as the king impales them with an trident.
What makes my blood boil is racist mfs who think the monsters deserve to be trapped underground forever and that its justified to commit murder just because you see monsters as lower than humans cuz youre racist
I got nothing more to say, bravo bince
So its ok for the humans to murder the monsters but not the other way around? Wow. Just wow. Also, killing the humans is the only way to free themselves of the underground they were unfairly imprisoned in
Oh, my, God. THANK YOU! It is not just Ceroba and Chujin, though. Most of the monsters in Undertale and Undertale Yellow will do everything in their power to murder Frisk and Clover, and then they will act like poor little victims when the humans finally snap and start killing back. It is hypocrisy at it's finest.

The themes of undertale yellow are done so well and this animation plays into them so nicely, with Chujin here playing into the same revenge narrative that retribution Clover does
Very well done
I love how he mentions Ceroba and Kanako exactly when Ceroba’s letimotif starts.
I have two theories
1: Dalv saw a human and struck first, fearing the human would do the same. That would mean the blue soul human fought back out of self-defense. Which would match the integrity trait.
2: Ceroba injected Kanako, and she "fell down" and was brought into Dr. Alphys. That was when Asgore found out about what Chujin had been up to, he quietly ordered all of his assets be seized. Including the soul. And his discoveries were the blueprint for the determination experiments.
Yeah, we never really find out what caused Chujin to lose access to the human soul
Dalv does admit somewhere that he attacked first, can't remember what route but I think it's during his boss fight. So personally, I think Integrity fought back in self defense. Unfortunately, Kanako was with Dalv at the time, so... Kanako being there may have unintentionally sealed Integrity's fate
Ngl I wouldn't exactly blame integrity for acting in self defense, even if it means she killed in retaliation. Most people would fight back if they were attacked first by strange creatures who allegedly want to steal your soul after falling down a mountain with no idea what saves, LOVE or exp are. More than few bodies would be caught by anybody in her place.
This is extra emotional for me because I feel like if I had a soul trait, it would probably be Integrity, because I have strong moral principles, some are more or less controversial in their status as view for how to see morality, and I genuinely think that the Integrity soul either accidentally killed a monster, or it was in self defense. For the trait of Integrity to kill multiple monster’s, then run away, I find that incoherent. If their morality says that it’s okay to kill, then they’d stay and commit their genocide. But they did not. The blue soul seems afraid. I now hate Chujin more than anything.
Okay but what did they think was gonna happen walking face in to a death laser
Idk but my theory that they meant to kick him and ran away

Patience, despite being the first, had faith and that one day, the monsters will be free.
Bravery stood against Asgore, fully intending and courageously giving in their soul.
Perseverance gave hope to monsters to keep on going and never lose that hope of seeing the surface.
Kindness because... kindness.

Integrities was most likely dropped after hiding, getting found, and running away. As both are in some type of hiding spot
Patience most likely threw away their knife and most likely dropped their ribbon after falling down.
Kindness and justice most likely had their items scattered after death.

I'd like to think Kindness' journey ended up somewhere near the core but not exactly on the inside that leads to new home and learned some truths, or their final moments were in Metatton's cooking show, in the end, with one final act of kindness, they managed to feed almost everyone in the underground and offered their soul for them to be free. Their items, the pan got dropped on a conveyor belt, and the apron floated somewhere both in hotlands.

Since the echo flower says: “I can’t run any longer,somebody..please.”
I have a theory:
Blue soul was being chased by axis until they got cornered and tired, then killing the human and hiding their body in the bush where you obtain the ballet shoes
Really cool!
Thank ye
Genocide Clover is fucking based
Genocide is the best undertale yellow ending and pacifist endings are dont even close, right?
This is really cool, amazing work on this!!
Oh no Axis! Why did you spill that kool aid all over the human!? I don’t think throwing them in the ocean was gonna immediately wash it all of ethier.
I was convinced that this was a cutscene from the genocide route of the game until i read the comments
Integrity human on the first random encounter:
So you've chosen death?
i always imagined that axis put the soul in a capsule to stop shattering and a reset
Asgore has blue's copse, so Axis should've instead brought the corpse to Asgore
I think integrity would have died where you found the ballet shoes bc I think the echo flowers was integrity talking before getting cornered I haven’t played in a while so I could be wrong 🤷
People do keep talking about the unused echo flower dialogue but it IS unused
Integrity i remember you're genocides
UGGG I WANT TO KNOW SO BAD WHAT HAPPENED WE ONLY KNOW BITS AND PEACES IT DRIVES ME UP A WALL
Yeeeah
We only know
what?
whoops bits and pieces lol@@clawrolinelore4674
I think she fell, during floweys born, she had the control of timeline and after realizing she hasant control anymore and that someone or something was reseting all, over and over again incapable of keeping sanity, she broke, she then trought... Maybe i can do something about this, I have to regain the power I need to...kill.
First going for the principle of "I do this for everyone, to reset, gain the power and stop whatever its doing this over and over again". But when she broke, her determination reduced and even after killing it didnt make a change

after 1 year.... axis was never seen again. legends say he was killed by a child called "clover"
Mindblowing.
I know, i suck.
pfft
MINDBLOWING LITERALLY
This taught me not every human who falls in the underground are pacifists and one could have tendencies to hurt monsters for whatever reason...
Yep
Certainly
Question, if Axis wiped his memories of the event, how would he remember it in the Genocide route and tell it to Clover? (apologies if i missed something that explains it)
Well, clearly Clover shooting Axis brought it back out
@@Yuti640but the memory is stated to be wiped, so how would it appear again?
it wasn't exactly 'deleted' it was more of being blocked.
