The two the types of commentaries clashed to the point that they ruined the entire concept of the story itself. It's level of historical inaccuracies, especially when it comes to portraing of medieval society, is "impressive". As biggest example, there are a lot of evidence that "antagonist" was framed IRL.
I wanted to like The Last Duel more than I did. I'd actually read the book by Eric Jager, published in 2005. It's a sober account of the events leading up to the duel in 1386, and very sensibly leaves the reader to decide who was or wasn't guilty. The film's three unreliable narrators format was interesting, and they obviously had to added elements (a non-fiction books is allowed to leave gaps; a film isn't). Unfortunately, the film didn't quite manage to juggle all these elements successfully. Nevertheless, it was an interesting watch. I'd much rather a film-maker aimed high and fell a little short, than played it safe and ended up being boring.
Yea that was confusing to me too. Hal Jordan's Green Lantern is one of the core founding members of the Justice League, that's like saying Iron Man was a lesser known superhero before RDJ took on the role despite being a founding member of the Avengers. Actually, same goes for Deadpool now that I think of it - Deadpool had become one of the most popular characters in the comics long before there was ever a movie.
Tenet was VERY Sci-Fi. And also very confusing. And also, after watching it three times (which I did) very good. It was, however, killed by the Lockdown. Film companies were in a no-win situation at the time. Shame.
I assume you were being sarcastic about Black Adam being a hit, I had hopes because the rock hung his reputation and probably a chunk of money on promoting it himself, when the company behind it gave me the impression they didn't care and were happy that someone else was the face of the film so they could hide in the shadows when it bombed.
"A wrinkle in time" was DOA outside the US from the getgo. How are people supposed to be drawn into a movie that is based on a book barely anyone here in Germany even knows? Same for "Tomorrowland" and a few others. Those are simply stupid, very obvious bad decisions...
Probably insulting the audience you want to see your movie aint a good move. I still refuse to watch the last duel bc he bugged Ridley's comment bugged me so much.
Aside from superheroes. I care about book film and tv adaptations. Despite their deviations and flaws, I appreciate them. I want the fantasy to be back in the theater screens since 2017, they are still a thing and have a to right to be. Mistborn needs to be a movie. I don't care if it becomes it's own thing. Definitely do not want any "buts, no, why, how could you", or any of this arguing stuff. It has to happened. Books have the potential to become movies and tv shows alike. This arguing about deviations needs to stop. That was a few years ago. Times are always changing. Book adaptations have the right and potential to be film and tv altogether.
As far as I'm concerned 90% of the movies made in the last 10-15 years are flops.. I can't stand the superhero movie madness, whether it's from DC or Marvel.. In a few years giants like Scorsese and Spielberg will die while Quentin Tarantino made his last movie.. All we're left with is Chris Nolan but he can't make 50 great movies a year.. Sad times for movie buffs (unless you're into superhero/comics universe).
Each of those entities could fill an entire list on their own, let's be honest. Though Disney does have some representation here with Alice, Turning Red, Wrinkle in Time and Dial of Destiny all being from The House of Mouse.
Ridley Scott blaming millenials and their phones is hysterical. Guy can't admit that he's a hack who's best years are decades behind him and he's now a sad grumpy old man.
what all these movies have in common is that they threw obscene amounts of money at horrible scripts, hoping that audiences would be won over by pretty faces and flashy CGI.

I'm sorry, but I'd hardly call " Green Lantern " a " Lesser known " superhero.
Not to comic fans - just to the rest of planet Earth.
There was a 4th Matrix movie? There are a few movies on here that I haven't heard of. I had no idea Tenant had any sci-fi elements...weird
Tenet was VERY Sci-Fi. And also very confusing. And also, after watching it three times (which I did) very good. It was, however, killed by the Lockdown. Film companies were in a no-win situation at the time. Shame.
A Wrinkle in Time is such a great book, it breaks my heart that the film failed to live up to expectations.
The Catwoman movie sucks.
Wrinkle, as a book, has long been held to be "impossible to film", and that attempt at an adaptation proved that assertion correct.
Aquaman 2 is a Hit Everywhere... Except in the USA. weird!
What a shill. Omicron? False rumors about Indiana Jones? Life depended on staying home? LOL 😂
Ghostbuster 2016. Let's just forget it happened...
As well as "Afterlife".
The rent is too dammed high!
Probably insulting the audience you want to see your movie aint a good move. I still refuse to watch the last duel bc he bugged Ridley's comment bugged me so much.
You're not missing anything.
Sorry, but I liked Evan Almighty better. I thought it was fun and cute. Jim Carey kind of rubs me the wrong way.
I like them both too, but I do like Evan a little bit better if only because it had a stronger, more focused message.
Skateboard Kid in Black Adam single handedly killed the DCEU
I actually enjoyed Jack the Giant Slayer....
So did I.
The Rock may have looked the part, but nobody wants to see the Rock play an antagonist.
No MCU, Disney, and Star Wars on this list makes you think this list is biased.
Each of those entities could fill an entire list on their own, let's be honest.
Though Disney does have some representation here with Alice, Turning Red, Wrinkle in Time and Dial of Destiny all being from The House of Mouse.
I swear, I’ve never even heard of some of these movies
Usually flopped movies are everyone's favorite movies
Even Aloha?
@@marcen12 I've never seen Aloha so I don't know
@@lexramstudios1386 it's not good. It bombed and for good reason
@@lexramstudios1386me neither
Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movies
iam fascinating how dumb the team of looper are. why a movie fils is simple is " mundpropaganda" . but they dont get it
Hugo was a good movie. I enjoyed it , I believed I Imax 3D viewed it.
Hollywood will keep losing
I fear you may be right. Just like Disney may keep losing.
What's up with the voice levels???
I'm gonna stand firm. I liked Black Adam.
So did I.
I Loved Black Adam.
Best Cure For Insomnia I've Found Anywhere !
Ridley Scott blaming millenials and their phones is hysterical. Guy can't admit that he's a hack who's best years are decades behind him and he's now a sad grumpy old man.
Ridley is definitely not a hack. What are you smoking?
@@Tryingtosex When was the last time he made hit after hit after hit? His stuff nowadays is just crap like Alien Covenant.
what all these movies have in common is that they threw obscene amounts of money at horrible scripts, hoping that audiences would be won over by pretty faces and flashy CGI.
Female led movies actually have to be good. Just like male led ones. SMH
Its funny to talk about Crystal Skull as a smash hit when people do NOTHING but mock and call it stupid now lol
I think movies fail because of the writing! Tell the writers to write better movies! And pay attention to the story lines!!! 🤔
