      You say Kyle Shannon is so great of a coach and Matt isn't for greenbay, but I just found out that Kyle is 39-42 a the 49ers Head coach and 33 of the victories was with Jimmy G, so where is the great in that, He didn't win in Washington and and one good Year in ATL that ended with the most famous Superbowl meltdown in NFL history 🤨 where's the Great!?

    This was perhaps the finest segment in the history of the show. Sean is going to be an absolute superstar on TV with his no holds barred attitude and footballing genius. Makes perfect sense why Tom wanted to partner with Sean in Miami.

      As a Chiefs fan-- I hope he holds out long enough for Andy Reid to retire, and the Chiefs hire him, so he could coach Mahomes. Could you imagine Patrick Mahomes having Andy reid the first half of his career and then Sean Payton for the rest? Good lord.

    -One of the greatest offensive football minds of all time.
    That settles that lol. Bruce Arians also said Mahomes was the smartest player he ever worked out too. Josh Allen and Herbert are beasts, but Mahomes is the best in the nfl right now.

      Cant argue that. My whole thing on Mahomes is I think he relies way more on talent than he does on mechanics. Yesterday was probably the most complete performance I ever seen him have. Definitely gotta agree Patrick Mahomes is the best Quarterback right now.

      How does that settle it lmao…? It’s not like he’s the be all, end all of football knowledge. Plenty of other greats say Hebert and Allen are more talented. You guys gotta realize (coming from as big of a Mahomes fan as there is) that he’s been blessed with an amazing team his whole career. He’s had amazing targets and depth, a good OL most of the time, and one of the best offensive coaches ever. Allen came into the league when the Bills were just recently one of the most dysfunctional teams in football, and the Chargers hadn’t won a damn thing in years. I’m sure if Herbert or Allen went to the Chiefs they’d have similar success. Also something I don’t see people talk about enough with Allen, is how hard it is to be accurate in Buffalo late in the season lol. The weather is crazy😂

      @@Chris-2 Mahomes also has to overcome garbage defenses year after year. He improved the Chiefs ppg by more in his first year than Brady did when he joined the bucs. Mahomes is on another level

    No screaming for attention or camera mugging for the video thumbnail, just straight football talk; evaluation, analysis and knowledge. This is the best Monday football talk I seen in decades, maybe ever. He broke down QB play calling like he was writing a “play calling for dummies” book with a joint burning in one hand a scotch in the other.

    Bruce Arians and the Cardinals wanted to draft Mahomes, too. Bruce said the same thing Sean did about when they quizzed him on the playbook and different scenarios.

    Man, what an absolute gift Sean Payton is. One of the greatest offensive minds in football history. Miss him as the Saints coach and I know that offense would be even more electric if he was there
    As a Chiefs fan, it is music to my ears to hear him say Patrick is the best and that they were moments away from drafting him.

      Pete Carmichael the OC was hired the same year Payton was hired in 2006. The last couple years of Paytons tenure it was Pete Carmichael who was the offensive play caller.

He was surrounded by all pro elite WRs during his 50 td season, Alex Smith looked like an MVP with that team lol.And Alex Smith isnt even a top 15 talent. Mahomes is a top 7 talent on that team with that coach so it makes him look top 3. Ive got Mahomes as like # 5. Brady obviously number one "based off last seasons statistics by a mile", I got Josh Allen #2 Aaron Rodgers #3, Mahomes #4, Herbert #5.

      Tbh I can see why Colin thought that. I bought into it when he brought it up because he throws off balance a lot. But what Palmer was saying is that when he’s throwing off balance, he’s keeping he’s back foot connected which allows him to put as much force as he does into the ball (I’m probably butchering it lol)

    I think Colin has to realize Mahomes has a major league pitching arm which means he can throw from multiple arm angles and be accurate. Mahomes has the best arm i have ever seen Im 43 years old so i have seen the best. His baseball backround and dad being a MLB pitcher is what sets him apart. Its not lazy mechanics Colin its called skill which no one else alive has but great athletes who throw for a living. Justin Herbert Justin Fields Brett Favre Josh Allen Matt Stafford all could of played MLB as pitchers infield outfield because of there live arms.

      Colin is a hypocrite now he bragged all last year and all this year about how smart Shawn McVey was for not having his starters play in the preseason at all and he stated that everyone would be following that model. But now he has Sean Payton a brilliant coach on his show who says that no my starter is going to play a quarter in the first game two quarters in the second game and start in the third quarter that I'm going to pull them and here's Colin oh yeah yeah yeah that's great wait a minute Collin you was just pumping up Sean McVay because he was so smarter than everybody else that he didn't play his starters in the preseason these guys are such hypocrites. I just don't understand why they just can't admit when they're wrong when they're right they shout it to the rooftops but when they're wrong man it's it's sad nobody's listening to you anyway Colin we know you don't know sports.

      What's funny about that draft. I believe that was Ryan Pace's first draft as Bears GM. Pace came from New Orleans as an assistant GM under Loomis. Sometimes, they are "assistants" for a reason.

    Not every analyst can speak and hold my attention...Colin Cowherd invited Sean Payton onto his show and now I see WHY...
    he speaks very well...no wonder Tom Brady wanted to play quarterback for him...if he comes out of retirement, Arizona would be a GREAT PLACE to coach...just saying.

      If they draft Mahomes do you think Payton retires? I think he stays. I think he knew Saints were trending down and wanted to protect his legacy and keep himself viewed as a top coach so he can evaluate teams until a situation he really likes appears.
