This video was helpful. I was given a Dado, and had never used one. Thank you!

Even though in the UK our saw arbors are shortened to prevent us using dado sets I still found this video interesting 👍👍👍👍

John...I was not aware of that. How do you accomplish your dado requirements?

I saw, pun intended! Lol, these blades sold individually in different thicknesses. One was 1/2 inch thick. So, you can use them alone without the chippers inbetween? I want to make a small table saw out of a new electric skill saw. Could I use dado blades with it? Oh and i find the iron on edge tape, glue dried up after few years and they fell off. So i have my own way now. Simple and you cant tell it wasn't factory made. 2 thin layers wood filler. Tape sides then 2 coats of paint. Works for black and white. I have also found decorative moulding 2 mm thick and bendable at the corners. Great with strong glue. Another great video!!! Id like to see more super easy versions to make small drawers but many of them for shop/craft storage. With a light cabinet. Different Drawers about 5-10 wide, 12 " long, 5 inches deep. Do you make your own storage pieces for the shop?

Arent you missing some shims? The shim setup is the one thing i dislike about the irwin/Marples dado. The shims are not labeled for thickness.

I didn't put any shims in but yes they are part of the set. My demonstration was just to set up the blades and chippers. And no, they are not labeled for thickness. Thank you for visiting my channel and I appreciate your feedback. Enjoy your week!

Good Lord! You had me sitting on edge the whole video. Your arm and hand were way too close to the spinning blade. Please, don't run your hand anywhere near the blade while the motor is running. You do your cut and you immediately turn off the power. Too many things can go wrong. From distractions to micro blackouts.
