  • This week we get a Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series in and carry out a custom remap / tune to factory ecu. The car is 100% stock so can’t push it too hard but got some great results.
With more modifications like intake and exhaust we can push it more!
If you have a 300 Series Landcruiser and want better fuel economy while also having better power and torque, call us on 1800 776 243 for info and pricing

Do you pull the front driveshaft to run in 2wd? Or just strap it down and let the centre diff do the work?

We drop front shaft and run in 2wd. With the amount of constant 4wd’s we are doing, a dyno upgrade is on the cards to save time

can you show how to transfer to 2wd?

    Does the tune affect warranty?

    Why 2wd? What’s with that?

As explained in video, it’s a 2wd dyno so need to disconnect front wheels to tune.

Yes, but aren’t you supposed to tune an engine under the stresses and loads it will be expected to operate under in real world conditions? Wouldn’t tuning it like that effect performance and reliability for when it’s running 4 wheels? Especially in high temps towing a caravan or something?

A 2wd vehicle would be different on the road than it would on the dyno as it not running the front wheels, even though they aren’t driven.
But in saying that the dyno can replicate all the load you would see and more.
I can even input weight of a trailer and incline to replicate real life scenarios.
The workshop temperature is different everyday as is the humidity, but we have a weather station to monitor and accommodate for that.
I just don’t have time to film and edit all the work involved in testing and tuning.

@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551wonder if they have a dyno mode? I have the gr yaris and do a "pedal dance" push pedal in pull handbrake put hand brake down turn off car turn on ect. And puts it in only 2wd.

      Different style of transfer/diff setup
Would make life easier if it did. Will be going to a 4wd dyno but aren’t cheap
