Prado ecu remap and trans tune

- This week we have Tom’s 150 Series Prado on the dyno
We carry out an ecu tune and a trans tune to get the most out of it without pushing it.
The aim wasn’t to make bulk power and torque but to have it drive better and be better on fuel consumption
If you have a Prado and use it for towing or even if it’s just a soccer mums car we can tailor a tune to suit.

Another great video full of great informative tech and tips. Thanks for the vids.
Thanks for the feedback mate 🤙🏻
If you cam tune the gear box, does that mean i can remove the lockup convertor ?
Is it normal for a 3.0 diesel J150 throws more smoke after engine tune in?
does this tune affect my new car warranty?
Thanks for the info on tcu tuning. Prados are nice to drive but damn those autos are sloppy. Do you have any experience/advice on valve body upgrades on them?
Cheers! We have fitted valve body before but generally after doing the trans tune it’s perfect unless running big torque
@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 hmm I kinda wish I'd asked this question before I ordered a valve body upgrade 😂
Thanks for the reply. I might be back in touch about a tcu remap. I'll see how the valve body upgrade feels first. Cheers
Thinking of getting my Prado 150 tuned, is it safe to put an AWD on a 2WD Dyno and how is it done.
Yeah it’s safe, have done plenty including 200 series, 300 series etc
We just drop the front shaft
Has anyone done fuel pump and injector upgrade for these?
I have +30 injectors in my N80 Gen3 Hilux, haven’t done a Prado yet.
How safe is this for the components long term? :)
We keep the tune safe and don’t chase numbers
Good power and torque increase and fuel economy.
No point making massive numbers if it doesn’t last long

Great to know. Thinking of having mine done. (Here in the UK so will have a good luck around for someone decent over here)
Many thanks !
Leave stock. Need more power > v8
Or get good power and torque gains, better fuel economy from a tune. Also cheaper to run and cheaper rego than a V8
